When I bought this, I made the mistake of thinking it was a full case that covered the front and back of the ipad. It only covers the screen and within a week I had managed to dent the back of my ipad. I do like that the cover turns the ipad off when you close it and it's a very pretty light pink color. It just doesn't feel like it offers alot of protection.

I assumed that Apple would make a smart case for the ipad mini that is similar to the smart case that I bought for my ipad air. Wrong assumption. Where is the rest of the case? It's ridiculous to pay $90 to get the full case from Apple. I returned it and bought a full case from Amazon for 1/4 the price.

It is not a bad case. It is very simple and it only really protects the screen, it has no back cover. But I fear that it leaves the iPad vulnerable to breaking if you drop it and it lands on the edge. Other than that it’s a nice case with a very low profile.

I purchased this for my new iPad and I had absolutely loved the color. However a week or two later the cute pink became very dirty. The cover also only protects the screen so if you tend to drop or use your iPad daily the back may become scratched and there it no protection if it drops.

I wanted a lighter weight cover for my iPad mini and this one works just fine. It comes off easily, so that is a bit frustrating, otherwise, I do like it.

I wish they made an Apple Keypad version of this. It looks good, but I keyboard will be much better along with the stand feature. The back cover could instead have been made like a stand which would be much more intuitive

After my last one being leather not holding up to the test of time, I decided to get this version for my pops. Limited options when they first release and I wanted to ensure one that fitted well.

It is overpriced for what it is. Excellent quality but cheaper alternatives are avilable.

I bought this to go on my new Ipad Mini. In the past I know these covers had good reviews but after I brought it home I realized that they had redesigned them and that recent reviews weren't that good with solid reasons. The cover is flimsly and slips around when trying to hold the ipad. In addition it also doesn't say latched in the little nitches when trying to use it to prop up the ipad well at all. In this area, I find it useless. I do like how it shuts the ipad off automatically after done using it however. It also protects the screen well. Overall it's ok, but not great. I also think the price is too high.

Combine this with Apple's silicone case and it's the smallest protection out there which is why I got an iPad mini to begin with. I can drop it in a suit pocket. It's hard to justify the price though. ½-⅔ of retail would be reasonable. I deducted 1 star for the price, another because it only does landscape, and I'd like to be able to use it in portrait as well. If you don't need the smallest protection available for your iPad mini, there's better and cheaper choices out there. It's with that understanding That I would recommend it to a friend.

This was only a "Cover" not a "Case" It looked good but wasn't what we were looking for. BB took it back for us and we got the "Case"

Great little cover but does not seem worth the price at all. You can find better cases out there for way cheaper

Pros are slim/thin physical size, lightweight, appealing to the eye. Cons are only covers one side of the device.

Functioned as expected but pricey and doesn't protect the back. Returned and opted for a case for better protection.

The cover is made from nice material and looks sharp. The "smart" waking works nicely. The magnet that attaches the cover to the iPad does not seem strong enough, though, as the cover seems to detach easier than it should. Also, folding the cover for use as a stand is a nice feature if using the iPad as a display only, but the resulting triangular base doesn't seem sturdy enough to hold the iPad securely when using it actively.

Although this is the official Apple Cover for the latest iPad Mini, other than being a smart cover, it does not protect much. If you are looking for a case/cover that will actually protect your iPad from a fall or scratches, look elsewhere. All this does is wake the iPad when you uncover it and puts it back to sleep when you close it. Other than that, not much else.

I find that it sometimes detaches from the iPad but most of the time it's fine. The back is exposed but I realize this when I purchased this case /cover. If this is fine for you then you may enjoy it. Not sure of how to remove dirt from this item but it does pick up dirt with out much effort. Would be a better product for $20 less but it's Apple original.

Expensive option compared to cases that cover both the back and front of the iPad mini

This product is a bit overpriced, but it does it's job efficiently.
