I was previously using my Xbox One X to do all my streaming but there were a few apps I couldn't get on there, namely PBS and Plex. Having used an Amazon Fire TV before, I knew the Apple TV had to be better than that, and it did not disappoint. Beautiful 4k menus, buttery smooth operation, standard Apple level of simple and easy to use while looking good. I highly recommend it!

I own just about every streaming device there is: FireTV, Roku, smart TVs, etc. Apple TV is far away the best especially if you own multiple Apple products such as an iPhone and iPad. It syncs will all of your Apple devices and makes switching between seamless. As if that weren't enough, apps like Hulu, Netflix, HBOMax, and Disney+, work better here than on other devices. Even Prime Video is better developed here and is more intuitive than on its native device FireTV. And if you're like me, you have a TV streaming service instead of cable or satellite. Mine is YouTube TV and the biggest problem I had was finding a device that carries the app that isn't Google owned. Amazon can't come to an agreement with Google so there's no telling when or if it will ever be available there. So I purchased a Roku stick just to stream my YouTube TV, and it's interface is extremely clunky, buggy and in sore need of an operational overhaul. The Apple TV doesn't suffer from any of these issues. Yes, it's pricey, but it eliminates the need for any other device and the ease of use and intuitiveness of the operating system make it well worth the price tag in my opinion.

I received this as a Father's Day gift and my wife and I have been very impressed with the higher resolution and the speed. One of the main reasons my son and daughter gave me the gift was our need to get a better remote. The new remote is touch screen and takes a little getting used to at first. Having mastered the technique we like the new remote a great deal.

The Apple TV is a great device. It is easy to use. The Apple TV aerial screensavers are the best. I use the Apple TV for watching Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, and SlingTV. The one downside to the Apple TV is the remote. The remote takes some getting used to. However you can program a third party remote to the Apple TV to solve this issue.

Finally ditched cable. I love Apple products so this made sense. Fairly intuitive, but the remote takes some getting used to and I’m still learning little tricks. It is nice that you can set one home screen as default for all rooms...we have 4, so setting up each individually would have been an arduous task. Anyway, working like a charm!

The reason I went for this product is because you have the ability to connect it via the most reliable way... HARDWIRED! I never have any buffering problems, I have att internet and I pay for 100mpbs download. I know that’s a lot but we stream and game at the same time in this household and never have any problems. Always streams HD or 4K without any buffering.

If you exclude cost (easier said than done), this is the best streaming device you can buy. It has 4K with Dolby Vision and Atmos. I tried Firestick and Roku, and this has the best interface, app support and picture quality. It also plays iOS games with a PS4 or XBox controller. Only negative other than cost is the remote is lacking some functionality.

If you don’t have an Apple TV, you are missing out on a great television experience. I have had Apple TV since version 1 (the size of a current MAC MINI) and it has evolved a long way. You can not only stream from all the apps but you can watch content from your computer/MAC..... streams in 4K if the content is available from source AND set up is literally the easy thing you can do.

I upgraded from an 2nd. Generation Apple TV. This new unit works great in streaming 4K movies. I love the remote. It was easy to set up and everything works great.

Just bought this 4K for our TV and the picture is amazing! You may have to use this on a regular HD TV and not a 4K. Streaming is slower. But overall it’s great!

LOve our new 4K Apple TV. Got it over the holidays and set it up on my small TV in the office, thinking that we were also going to buy a new 4K TV to replace our 10 year old Sony in the family room. Set up was OK. Moved it to our new TV purchased a week later. 4K looks great on Netlicks and Amazon Prime. The remote has A small notch at the top of the very small remote to select an item. Sometimes when we select an item our finger hits the notch but we inadvertently the touch sensitive section just below and the screen moves to the wrong item. We are getting used the small,sensitive Apple 4K remote.(Side-note: we are grandparents, so if you are too, ask to see the remote before you buy). I recommend it.

I have a 4K tv, but had an older generation Apple TV so I never got the full effect. I debated on whether or not to upgrade and I’m so glad I did. Set up was a breeze and the picture quality now pops off the screen! You need to make sure you have a 4K compatible cable and you have to go into the settings on the Apple TV and on your tv, but after you do so you’ll be glad you got this as well.

It’s amazing that AppleTv doubles up as the single remote for my TV. The portal allows me to select easily from broadcast, Netflix, Hulu, etc. the only problem was in setting up. I had to call Apple support just to find out that the top of the remote is like a touch pad. They need to include instructions for this as it was not intuitive at all.

Another quality product from Apple, however a few important notes. I purchased a pack of new "high speed HDR 4k HDMI cables" but they did not work because they were not fast enough to support Dolby Vision HDR. I had to find cables that are certified at 18 Gbps or higher. I would find the lowest price cable you can find that is 20 Gbps or higher and you will be happy because I am seeing some noise with 18 Gbps cables. The noise could be from the cable or content, but confirmed you need a quality cable to use Dolby Vision. The other note is that it can get very warm unlike previous models.

I spent forever trying to figure out the perfect cable cutting option. Since we are an Apple family, this was a no brainer. The one thing that I struggled with is if you don't tell the Apple TV to sleep, it has a tendency to lock up and you have to unplug the power cable from the back of the device to reset it, which is just odd and slightly annoying. There are games you can download, but I am the kinda guy who believes in sticking with your core competencies and make them great. The picture is great, works with 4K, they just added Prime as an app... Fix the one issue that I see and I would say it's five stars...keep in mind, I am biased to Apple products since I have been using them since 2007...

I bought it from my mom. It was very easy to install and she was an expert in less than 10 minutes. The interface is intuitive. I would have a paid a bit more if Apple had included the HDMI cable. Pros: Easy to Install Intuitive to Use HBO Library (Extra per month - but I have access to movies and all the shows) Elegant Cons: Had to buy HDMI cable (second trip to the store)

I have both the Apple TV 4K and the Roku Ultra and the Apple TV 4K is hands down better. Beautiful videos combined with fast speed processing means no lagging.

Awesome purchase, this is my second 4K Apple TV, I also own the 64GB version. Both run very smoothly. The 32GB one I have running completely off wifi and have not had an lags even when updating. Definitely worth the money for the interface, video quality, and the ability to connect to Bluetooth headphones.

You can tell the difference between the standard and the 4k and if you have purchase movies on iTunes if they are available in 4k you automatically get them.
