I got two so I can run an External Blu ray drive and for use with my Gaming headphones, PS4 controller, Older external Hdd.

Adapter

I wish Apple would stop changing their electronics in a way which require us to keep buying new cords, chargers, adaptors, cases, screen protectors, etc. This forced obsolescence is something most of us cannot afford, but is very lucrative for Apple.

Much needed

Getting the adaptor was the only way I would be able to access my old files while on my new laptop.

I just use one with a 4 port USB hub and I have everything I need. Got an extra just in case I need it...
