With all these home security cameras on the market, I think it's really important to showcase ones like this almost as being a "necessity" if you plan on getting a surveillance system in your place. Pretty much all camera systems will have a "main" camera that is stationary and probably to be used in the living room or someplace large/heavily frequented. What they should be saying is that having the "main" camera in your setup should be a pan and tilt one like this. They offer way more flexibility within the system you use and can be easily used to show case your place in real time. I think most people, i.e. condo/apartment dwellers, should be fine with a stationary camera since the layout of these types of places are somewhat small. However, having a pan and tilt greatly increases your viewing area and minimizes the need for overlap or blind spots. I have this setup currently in my condo and it works great. I'm able to get the main living room, hallway as well as a couple other entry points in camera range without the need of adding more cameras. If you are going with a security system, it's best to get one that's all branded the same since Arlo is a subscription based fee on it. Makes things a little easier both for compatibility and keeping per month pricing at a minimum.

This Arlo Essential Pan Tilt camera is fantastic for indoor use. The 2K video quality is sharp, but what I truly love is the Pan & Tilt function; I can easily rotate the camera from the app to see every corner of the room. The movement is smooth and quick. Plus, the Privacy Mode that turns the camera off with a single tap gives me great peace of mind. Setup was straightforward. Highly recommended if you are looking for an indoor camera with full coverage!

The Arlo Essential indoor cam gives you an inexpensive option to monitor what’s going on inside or out of your home. Unboxing and setup is simple and straightforward with the Arlo app and takes maybe 5 minutes to have the camera up and running. When installing the camera you have multiple options for mounting from ceiling,wall mount or sitting it on a table. I really like the fact it has a privacy mode that flips the camera down when enabled. I will not use any indoor cameras if they don’t have a privacy mode, at least I won’t have them facing inside the house. Controlling the camera’s features are easy with the excellent Arlo app, specifically the pan and tilt feature. My biggest issue with the camera and this is for all Arlo cameras is that you have to have a subscription to get the full benefits. If you don’t pay for the monthly/yearly subscription, you’ll get notifications and can view live video, but you won’t be able to view any saved video. I really wish Arlo would offer an option for local storage if someone wanted it, an otherwise good camera as long as you don’t mind the subscription model.

Loved how easy it was to set up. How well it worked. Loved all the features to it. Gives me peace of mind and a clear picture.

The Arlo Essential Pan Tilt 2K exceeded my expectations. The image is clear, even in night mode, and the pan and tilt movement covers the entire room without blind spots. Installation was quick and easy using the Arlo app, and the privacy mode is a great feature. Ideal for those looking for home security and convenience.

Great security Camera that is able to rotate , with two audio and night vision . Perfect for outdoor and is also water proof . I love Arlo they definitely make me feel safe .

I already owned Arlo cameras (few years old) and I like them, but this new technology is just amazing. The picture, the wide view angles the palm and tilt features are just fantastic. I got them at a discount price and that makes them even better.

In the past, these cameras were terrible to set up. This one was NOT like the past. This thing was a breeze to set up, place, and forget. The tracking ability of the camera is great and records all the movement. Arlo has definitely made great improvements.

The camera works great! I'm using it at my mom's home and seeing her fom afar (she's in Florida, I'm in Connecticut) is peace of mind. Resolution and sound are great.
