Great value for the price it was easy to connect !

I researched what wireless cameras to get. My neighbors have these as well. They are clear & easy to set up. Easy to install as well. I have a solar panel to keep it charged. I would definitely recommend these cameras to anyone looking for a little security.

I moved one of my other cameras and place this XL in the same spot as my other camera. The XL is not as responsive as the other camera and yes I checked all the menus to make sure the setting are the same. The spotlight is affected by one of the garage door lights in my house. Meaning if you have your house lights on then the spotlight will not come on when motion is detected but if house lights are off then it comes on. Looking back I would purchase a matching camera to my set and not this one. I’m giving it 4 stars because it works but not as good as a normal camera.

These cameras work fantastically, you get what you pay for.

The actual camera itself is good, long battery life and pretty good motion detection. Quality is as expected for 1080p. The problem is that in order to keep motion detection and many other features, you need to have a subscription to arlo. Otherwise the camera will only turn on when you manual do it, and it wont store video.

So I have only had my Arlo XL Essential Spotlight Camera set up for a couple of days. The camera was recording activity as it should, no problems. Until yesterday. Yesterday I moved this camera from my living room to my laundry room and it picked up NO ACTIVITY at all until 901pm! So prior to 901pm the last activity recorded was at 446pm. Please believe that there were things going on that the Arlo should have recoded too! I was in and out all evening and my laundry room is right next to my garage entry door so at the VERY LEAST it should have recorded the sound of me coming and going. I didn’t check my camera because it’s a brand new camera and there was no reason for it to malfunction or just not operate at all. When I reached out to Support they said it was probably just “interference” and then just ensured that it was functioning properly at that time! That was after 9pm what happened to the 4+ hours of no activity?!!!! Not impressed with the reliability of this Arlo.

Pictures and videos are clear, clean and easy to view.

I love the ease of arlo. The initial sticker price is high but this particular camera I put a solar panel on.. and I dont have to really even bother with it. I have 2 of the xl's right now they are a little hard to get so i bought the bestbuy 3 arlo pro 4 package.. i wishI would have waited and got something different

I absolutely love the brand. They have upgraded and improved so much that i ended up buying this newer version and the regular essential camera. For the XL i love the wide view and the fact that the battery is to last longer. Overall it is very easy to set up and install around your home!

Just purchased my 2nd essential xl camera. Battery life is long and light is bright enough. Would definitely recommend purchasing.

Set up was easy! Works great! Started with 2 and now we have 4. We enjoy watching the wildlife, especially the nocturnal ones. Video and camera quality is great! We can even check on our home when we are away, love that!

It gives a very clear picture……my battery does not last more than 2 weeks under heavy use ……very pleased tho

Purchased this for the longer battery life. Seems to last a little longer. Not sure if it’s worth the extra money though.
