Installing the cameras was very easy, app use straight forward. I would recommend playing with the setting to find the sweet spot on what alerts you receive . Video and audio quality are excellent with night video having a color option. Cool extra features like spot light activated on motion at night, capability to activate siren manually or pre set based on setting is a neat feature. Overall would buy again.

Camera was extremely easy to set up. only took a few minutes after signing up for an Arlo account. There was also easy integration into third party camera apps, should you have cameras from other brands already in your household The magnetic mount seems strong, but i don't know if i'd use it for outdoors with the wind. Currently using it indoors for testing until the outdoor mount arrives and i can mount to my garage. There's a lot of customization that can be done based on how you plan on using it. Spot light would be handy if i install one in the backyard, but I'd likely keep the spotlight off and just have motion tracking/alerting as it will be monitoring my front door and driveway. I'll update my rating and review when i can better evaluate the battery life, but so far, out of 42 occurrences, i'm still at 97% battery. I will be fine tuning the triggering. at that rate ,8 triggers a day should get me to 6 months

Like the wireless feature but had to purchase solar panels to keep batteries charged. Like that it came with an extra battery as even with solar panel my road facing camera still has to have battery changed periodically because it captures a lot more motion than other two cameras. The only thing I don't like is that even with the subscription, the camera isn't constantly recording like my Ring doorbell does. It only records the motion for a few seconds. I've tried going live and even with a good WiFi connection, the cameras sometimes take a long time to show the live view. So if there's something you wanted to see on one of the cameras, it will be gone before your live view shows. If I had to do it over I would choose another brand.

I would give them a much higher rating if not for the fact that the batteries don't stay charge for more than a week. I have almost every setting turned off and have set the areas in which they focus. Still, they don't last. I had to run chargers to every camera which defeats the purpose of them being wireless! Otherwise, they work great. Picture quality is good, motion quality is good and the app is user friendly.

"I recently purchased the Arlo security camera and I couldn't be more impressed. The video quality is outstanding, capturing crystal-clear footage both day and night with its impressive night vision feature. The motion detection is incredibly responsive, alerting me instantly to any activity around my home. The two-way audio is a game-changer, allowing me to communicate with visitors or even scare off potential intruders from anywhere using the app. Plus, the seamless integration with my smart home ecosystem makes monitoring and controlling the camera effortless. Overall, I highly recommend the Arlo security camera for anyone looking for peace of mind and reliable home security. It's truly a top-notch product that delivers on its promises."

All the same great features of the Pro 3 but now you can connect direct to Wi-Fi. What this means is if you do not want to buy a kit with the hub, or you need to mount it far away from your hub which may provide a weaker signal, then this is for you. Now you are not limited to the distance from your hub, but rather the distance from your home/business Wi-Fi. If the distance is not an issue and you plan on using with the hub, then the Pro 3 would work fine for you as well. I tested the new Pro 4 both as a straight Wi-Fi connection and then also through the hub. I noticed that when you create an activity zone when connected straight to Wi-Fi you are limited to drawing a square or rectangle, but when connecting through the hub I can draw any shape of activity zone I desire. Battery life is determined and how much the camera is activated both during the day and at night which also used the LED light. I get a few months out of my PRO 3 cameras on the front porch which get less activity and maybe 1-1.5 months from the camera facing my driveway which detects more traffic as this is the main entry point of our house. It was easy to add this camera to my system. Simply opened my Arlo app on my android device, went to devices, chose ‘Add Device’, Choose ‘Camera’, Choose my Pro 4, then follow the instructions. You will get a QR code that displays on your phone that you simply hold up to the camera about 8 inches away for the App to find and connect the camera. User friendly interface. The only con that I have with these cameras is when you are in live stream mode, there does seem to be at about a 5 second delay from a person's movement to actually seeing that movement on my viewing device. That also makes audio back and forth delayed as well. Hopefully, this will be tightened up with software in time. The Arlo Pro 4 comes with a magnetic mount. Works well at most angles, but the way mine is angled it feels a little loose. It has not moved yet and is somewhat protected by my porch so I do not foresee it being an issue, but you may need to test before mounting. Overall, the Arlo units are top notch cameras with a great interface. The cost to monitor and keep 30 days of history is reasonable as well. I have recommended to neighbors and friends.

I purchased a single Pro 4 and a triple pack. When I purchased each, they were half price from original pricing and I felt that was a good deal. We use these to monitor our patio because we keep a garden and the dog gone squirrels kept killing my plants the past two years. This spring we found a kitten and her mother on our patio and we wanted to keep an eye on them so we purchased these cameras. While the color night vision is excellent if you allow the light to turn on, the kodachrome is not as good. And these cameras do not focus very clearly regardless of when. If you use the focus follow feature the cameras pixelate and focus is okay. When the cameras zoom on the subject, the clarity is good but enlarging a recording gets distorted. These come with a 90 day trial period for cloud recording but we cannot afford the $10 PER CAMERA price tag so once the trial period ends, we will not be using the pay service. The field of view of these cameras is excellent and have 3 different options. There are so many optional accessories for these cameras from the manufacturer and other's that make items for Arlo including skins to change the exterior look. These have a tendance to record my plants moving which is annoying and the cameras are supposed to record movement until it stops but the longest any one camera records is less than 2 minutes which creates a lot of alerts and recordings to review. We like that the cameras can mostly tell the difference between an animal, person or vehicle when they record. We will keep these cameras but not the remote recording service. I hope this helps.

I recently purchased the Arlo - Pro 4 and have been extremely impressed with its performance. The camera provides a clear and high-quality image, even in low light conditions, thanks to its enhanced night vision feature. The setup process was straightforward and the camera connected easily to my home network. One of the best features of the Arlo - Pro 4 is the ability to set up motion and sound detection alerts. This means that I can receive notifications on my phone when the camera detects any unusual activity. I can even set up specific zones within the camera's field of view to trigger alerts, which is useful for minimizing false alarms. The Arlo - Pro 4 also has a two-way audio feature that allows me to communicate with anyone who is in the camera's range. I find this feature especially useful for checking on my pets while I'm away from home. Overall, I highly recommend the Arlo - Pro 4 for anyone looking for a reliable and affordable home camera. Its performance, ease of use, and additional features make it a great choice for keeping an eye on your home, pets, or loved ones.

This camera gives a high-quality video feed, is easy to set up with Arlo app connected wirelessly to an Arlo hub and integrates well with Apple Homekit. This only reason this does not get 5-star excellent rating is the battery life is nowhere near Arlo's claims in marketing materials unless the performance is downgraded by disabling features. For cameras in locations where the battery is hard to get at, plan on adding a continuous charging device.

The video quality on these cameras is solid, as is the night vision. The motion sensing is good, The more motion the camera detects, the more often it will turn on, and the shorter the battery life. I appreciate the extra battery in the pack, so I have one ready to go when one of the cameras runs low. I also have an Arlo doorbell and an indoor Essential camera in the garage, and I really like the Arlo app and the ability to stream all the cameras from a browser when I am on my PC.

They're really good cameras. Good security features. Good night vision. Easy to install, and the chargable batteries make replacing them when they die super convenient. Only down side is the subscription. You get it for free for for a few months. But afterwards you have to pay $10 a month PER camera.

Overall a good camera system in a landscape full of alternatives. These things chew through battery unless you lower the motion sensitivity and/or set activity zones. Also had issues during setup connecting the cameras to my WiFi using my Android phone -- but my wife's iPhone worked just fine. Pros: - Great video quality - Easy to mount/install - Good AI (motion, people, packages, vehicles; activity zones, etc.) Cons: - Could be difficult for Android users during initial setup - Battery life is so-so unless you lower the sensitivity (lasted about 2 weeks) - Subscription service required for all the advanced features, but they give it to you free just long enough for the return period to end

Bought the Security Bundle during the Black Friday markdown, along with the Wired Video Doorbell. Overall, I'm pleased with the system. Wall mounted each of the cameras (front-driveway, backyard-patio, and living room). They seem durable and less prone to tampering than some competitor's camera mounts. Video quality of the archive clips is pretty good but not as sharp as some other reviewers mention (counting neighbors bricks and what not). I can read license plates in driveway out to maybe 8 feet from camera but not further than that. Keep in mind to view recent 2K video clips for all three cameras in this bundle you'll need to subscribe to the Arlo Secure multi-camera plan. Which is getting more expensive in 2023. The live feed from the cameras is not nearly as clear - lower resolution than my old Amazon Cloud Cam feed. Arlo provides free access to the Secure plans for a limited time with the purchase. The most annoying thing about the cameras relates to the "smart" notifications. The software is pretty bad, in my experience, at distinguishing between people, animals, vehicles, and other motion. This can result in your Arlo app being flooded with notifications. I've reviewed the support and community pages for tips to minimize this but haven't had much success. Turning off the notifications would defeat the whole purpose of the camera system for me. Setting activity zones and restricting the types of motion notifications from all motion to only "Person" detection helps some but the camera sometimes ignores these. Related to the issue of false notifications is the camera battery life. I've found that my batteries are draining much quicker than the Arlo Pro 4 product page would have you believe. My cameras have been installed a little more than a month and the worst notification offenders - driveway camera (cars on street past the activity zone) and living room camera (my dogs are family but they shouldn't trigger a "Person" alert) - also have the worst battery performance. Less than 20% battery remains on these cameras. All of the consumer oriented camera systems have issues and Arlo seems to have fewer than some. The inclusion of the extra battery and the charger, along with the Black Friday sale price, make the bundle a pretty good deal. So overall I'm satisfied with the purchase, if not completely so.

Software is generally intuitive. Set up is simple but you must follow the directions. Mounting is easy, but does have some limitations on how it is able to swivel, so make sure you can get the correct angles. I love how long the batteries last. I need to swap them every couple of months. I bought three more cameras to fill in my "blind spots" and there is no drag on my wifi to have six cameras without purchasing their hub. I would recommend it as a fairly inexpensive alternative to a wired solution. My neighbor saw the picture quality, but didn't want to spend the money and bought a cheap one mail order. He regrets the quality, the lag, the drag and how often he needs to swap out batteries. He said he is going to throw his away and get the Arlos.

I like these cameras for their easy setup and good features. However the motion and audio are delayed and theres a lot of backround noise that gets picked up, especially the wind blowing. These cameras do require a subscription, however I do believe these cameras came with a 1 month subscription for each camera. On the bright side these turn on and start recording when they should and the app has a bunch of options for you to adjust and settings to tinker with to adjust everything down to the audio sensitivity and motion detection range. I recommend these cameras mostly for their easy setup, really good battery life, (you can get solar panels to charge the batteries passively on this specific model camera, however they are compatible with other arlo models), great value, value for quality, really decent app, notification options, features, decent video quality, and camera reliability thus far.

I waited for a while so that I could provide a fair assessment of this system. After reading several very positive reviews by "technophobes" describing the quality of the recordings, sensitivity of the cameras, etc., I took the plunge and bought the 3-camera system with an extra battery and charger. Additionally, I purchase a PRO3 Flood Light Camera from a separate vendor. I had all devices professionally installed and set up. I must admit the system is spectacular and does almost anything the user desires - as long you're subscribed to the cloud service. Maybe that's why they give 30 days of subscription service with the purchase. Let’s start at the beginning. After installation and setup I found the alerts simply fascinating. Not only would I get an alert but the alert would define the source; i.e. “person”, “vehicle” or “animal”. Sure enough I would look and the recorded feed and the description was spot on! Next, I began to realize that I was getting numerous alerts from my Flood Light Camera (covering the driveway) because of vehicles going up and down the street. No problem, I simply set up a “activity zone”, excluding the street and the alerts declined to those triggered by a vehicle entering my driveway. Problem solved. I even did this for 2 of the 3 Spot Light Cameras to eliminate viewing areas outside my property lines. I was still getting numerous alerts from animals (squirrels) triggering my front door and basement entry cameras so I adjusted the sensitivity of those cameras and “voila” no more squirrels triggering these cameras. I was still getting alerts when people triggered these cameras so they were working just as I desired. I got all this done in the first week of use and was as happy as could be for the next 3 weeks. Then, things went downhill! First was the alert from ARLO that my free trial period was about to expire. Okay, no problem, I had read and understood that without a subscription one would need the ARLO Hub in order to record camera video and (as I mistakenly thought) set up and activate activity zones – yes and NO). Small drawback, but since I was aware of that idiosyncrasy I went ahead and purchased the hub. (I wasn’t interested in long term storage but did want to be able to review recordings and save for posterity/legal reasons if necessary). Well, my subscription expired before I received the Hub and suddenly, I was again inundated with alerts from my driveway camera because of vehicles passing by on the street (without the cloud service or the hub, activity zones were inactive). No problem! The hub was on the way so I’ll just turn off notifications until I get the hub. This is not the best solution but a satisfactory workaround until the hub arrives. Ah, peace and quiet but at the same time no alerts as to someone entering the premises. My hub arrived today and I gleefully unpacked it and hooked it up. First, I had to install a micro SD card in the hub (not supplied with the hub) to facilitate recording. Done! Next, I wanted reactivate my activity zones. Hold on There!!!! The first inkling that I may have a problem was the alert that my driveway camera activity zone was disabled because of a power loss. I was instructed to reconnect the power to enable the activity zone, What power? This is an outdoor camera mounted on the side of the house powered by a rechargeable battery (no power cord). Further investigation reveals that you can have activity zones with a subscription (minimum of $149.99/year) and battery-operated devices or you can have activity zones without a subscription ($0.00/year) and ac powered lights (you do NOT need wiring for the data signals – they are wireless in all cases) . You can’t have battery powered lights and an activity zone without a subscription. Don’t get me wrong, I fully understand the implications of processing power vs battery life and don’t really have an issue with that. I have significant issues with the total lack of information about the idiosyncrasies on the company web site. I just want to make potential purchasers aware of the limitations in setting up the system. It took me an hour or 2 just searching through the FAQs (and I knew what I was looking for) to learn about these limitations. One other bothersome problem is that you cannot be on the ARLO dashboard on your smart phone and on your computer at the same time. If I’m on the ARLO dashboard on my phone and log into the dashboard on my computer, I’m dumped from the dashboard on the phone and given the option to log back in., If I log back in on my phone I’m dumped from the dashboard on my computer. Like I said, it would have been GREAT to understand these limitations in advance so that I could have made a more informed decision. Would I recommend the system – yes, if you’re prepared to absorb the additional expense of a cloud subscription or go with ac powered cameras.
