Green Arrow has been a love/hate relationship with me for this whole season. On one hand I'm really impressed with the action and depth they put into the backstory of the main character Oliver Queen, but on the other hand I can't help but feel bored and uninterested through most of this season. This show is split between flashbacks to Oliver when he was shipwrecked, and to him today living back into civilization to become a vigilante of justice. For most of season one the only thing keeping me from stopping was the flashback scenes. They had the most character development, heart, and depth of the season, until the last third of the present day storyline. I felt character from the present day storyline either didn't act their age, were in there to fill roles rather than characters, and other times were just so bad I wondered why I was watching. Because I did like the ending I'm hoping they learn from their mistakes for the next season, but as season one is right now it's mostly a guilty pleasure of mine at the moment.

The Arrow TV series is one of the few DC character TV and Movie presentations that is done right. I am not reviewing the series just the Blue-ray. The case is compact and contains four (4) discs of the series. There is the series as shown on TV and also bonus material including specials on the series, a gag reel, and unaired material. All good stuff for the fan of the series. BUT I did NOT know that there was a 9 disc version that included DVD and Ultraviolet for about the same price. This series is specialized and maybe that is why the season set price is so high. I was disappointed that they even sold a 4 disc version without Ultraviolet streaming. So on this product, I would buy only if you are sticking to blueray only and if the price was substantially lower than the nine (9) disc version.

I've seen a few of the near episodes but WOW for me its torture to see the first half or more it takes so long to develop and his acting is just so annoying. Once you get past this season tho its gets way better....

The show has an interesting subplot and this season leaves more questions at the end than answers. It has some very dark undertones and seems similar to the plot of batman to me. Well acted and some interesting characters to get to know.

Back when Nextflix was not around, it was a good deal to catch up. First DC TV series to follow

The First Season is very slow and at times all over place, but stick it out, since Season 2 is where it really picks up.

this was an okay tv show, i wasn't too impressed members of family family did like it.

I have yet to watch the DVD but, I had great customer service while shopping.

I like this show and it was a pretty good deal so I'm glad I got it.

Good show decent set. Came with movie cash for Batman vs Superman.

Got the order in just a few days and started watching with no problem.

It's not bad. The show does get better. It's a slow start.

You can't watch the second season without watching the first so I'd say watch this season even though its a big disappointment. The acting sucks, the villains are kind of weak and the execution is just not there. Overall its just average but thankfully the second season makes up for everything the first season did wrong.
