It’s a really good game. I really enjoyed it. And the fighting on there it’s really challenging so I love it.

It’s a really good game. Ubisoft outdid themselves with this one. Runs really well on the PS5 and looks stunning. I don’t experience any drops in frame rate. I would recommend this title.

Purchased this for my sons Easter basket, only to have him open it and find a ripped DVD-RW labeled Rocky and Bullwinkle. After my son came up visibly upset about why the Easter Bunny would do something like this. After looking at the shrink wrap which was brittle and the case which looks like something was damaging it I’m shocked Best Buy customer support would not raise a question and inspect the case. Now my son’s upset, the Potomac Mills store is closed and my youngest is aware there’s no Easter Bunny…thanks Best Buy

I’ve been waiting for an Assassin’s Creed game set in feudal Japan for years, and Assassin’s Creed Shadows finally delivers that experience in a really exciting way. From the moment you start exploring the world, it’s clear that Ubisoft put a lot of effort into making the setting feel alive. The landscapes are absolutely beautiful — from dense forests and quiet villages to massive castles and changing seasons. Just traveling through the world and discovering new locations is honestly one of the best parts of the game. One of the coolest features is the dual-protagonist system. You get to play as Naoe, a stealthy ninja, and Yasuke, a powerful samurai, and each character feels completely different. Naoe plays more like the classic Assassin’s Creed style with stealth, climbing, and sneaking into enemy strongholds. Yasuke, on the other hand, is all about direct combat and brute strength. Switching between the two characters makes missions feel fresh because you can approach situations in totally different ways depending on your playstyle. Combat is fun and satisfying, especially when playing as Yasuke and cutting through enemies with powerful attacks. Stealth with Naoe is also really rewarding when you pull off a clean infiltration without being detected. The game encourages experimentation, which makes every encounter feel a little different. That said, the game isn’t perfect. The story is decent but not the most memorable in the series, and some of the side activities can start to feel repetitive if you’re trying to do absolutely everything on the map. I also ran into a few minor bugs here and there, though nothing that completely ruined the experience. Overall, though, I had a great time with Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The world is gorgeous, exploring feudal Japan is incredibly immersive, and the two-character system adds a lot of variety to the gameplay. If you’re a fan of open-world games or Assassin’s Creed in general, this is definitely a game worth checking out.

I ordered this item as a last minute christmas gift and it arrived the very next day. The price was lower than any other retail site so it was a great deal as well. My son is enjoying the game, the graphics are great and the stealth gameplay is top tier. Id recommend to anyone that is a fan of the series.

The game gets a lot of hate and I absolutely do not know why, the game is amazing from graphics to the story. Voice acting is a little stale but overall amazing game.

The game is very beautiful and brings back a more standard AC combat. I enjoyed the whole game and found myself wanted to complete each group of people to hunt down. The only complaints I have are with the world being not as explorable, having to switch between the characters, and the random loot engravings. For the world, you are having to constantly rely on pathfinder and not being able to cut through the trees and mountains. The loot is always random engravings, making it difficult to find gear you want for your build without luck. There are certain objectives you have to be Naoe or Yasuke and it can be annoying. I would rather be able to pick one and keep them the whole time. Overall would recommend playing. It is enjoyable and has a decent story that keeps you in.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is an amazing addition to the series and absolutely worth playing. The feudal Japan setting is beautifully designed, with incredible attention to detail that makes exploration exciting and immersive. Every area feels alive, from quiet villages to intense battle zones. The dual-character gameplay is a great feature, allowing you to switch between stealth-focused missions and powerful combat moments. The stealth mechanics feel smooth and rewarding, while combat is intense and satisfying. The storyline is engaging, emotional, and keeps you invested throughout the game. Overall, Assassin’s Creed Shadows delivers stunning visuals, strong gameplay, and a memorable experience. Highly recommended for fans of action, stealth, and open-world games.

I’ve played Assassin’s Creed since the beginning, and it’s been crazy to see how much the franchise has grown. Honestly though, the last few games just didn’t hit for me the same way after Desmond died. They weren’t bad, but they felt like they were missing that spark. That’s why this one surprised me. I’ve been enjoying it a lot. The setting feels fresh and different, and it’s easily the most unique vibe we’ve had since Black Flag. It feels like a step in the right direction, and I really think it could be a turning point for the series. If you’ve been on the fence, I’d recommend it.

A fun game with historical characters from Japan's history. Not a huge fan of R1 and L1 being the buttons for combat but everything is smooth and beautiful in the environment and combat.

Nice, chill game. Lost interest in the story but was still fun to explore the world and get the platinum trophy.

The game is good and just what I expected. I love BestBuy, but they use OnTrak ffor delivery, which I don't like. Bestbuy completed the order and shipping super fast as usual, but the problems fall on OnTrak. I live on the second floor, and every time OnTrak delivers to my place, they walk halfway up the stairs, and toss the parcel up to the landing. I often order electronics, so this is not good handling. Not only do they mishandle packages, they are almost always delayed. But the game, and bestbuy are great, high;y recommend!

What’s Great • Stunning world & visuals: Feudal Japan is breathtakingly recreated with detailed environments, seasonal weather effects, and cultural immersion — “the most beautiful open-world ever seen” . • Dual protagonists: Plays well to your style — Naoe delivers slick stealth, Yasuke offers satisfying brute power . • Refined gameplay: Combat and stealth have been polished — tighter, strategic, and more rewarding than in past entries (). • Big content package: Over 100 hours of main quests, side missions, and exploration — deep and immersive . What’s Rough • Repetitive structure: Side quests and progression can feel grindy and formulaic . • Story pacing issues: The narrative sometimes feels disjointed and less compelling toward the end . • Gameplay safety: It leans conservative, offering little mechanical innovation beyond improvements to core systems . Final Word (82 Metacritic) Assassin’s Creed Shadows is arguably one of the most polished and visually stunning entries in the series, bringing back the franchise’s stealth roots with confidence. If you’re a fan of open‑world RPGs and immersive historical settings, it’s a must-try — but don’t expect bold experimentation or deep, varied mission design.

This game is exceptional! I've played previous AC games but would eventually grow tired of the tedious gameplay. This one seems to have gotten the game mechanics and challenges just right to keep the player always engaged. I keep coming back to visit the gorgeousness of a fully realized Japan and the vastness of that world and the characters that inhabit it.

I only played the game for about hour and I was already impressed, awesome graphics and great gameplay, brutality of the game is a plus. It is rated M only, and takes a ton of gigabyte storage. Over 110+. Only issue I have is the gigabyte storage. About an hour to download plus you need internet access to download game. I give 4 stars just because of the gigabytes. Overall I am looking forward play the heck out out of the game.

Lots of nonsense online about this game, but those things didn't bother me. The game was fun and gameplay was good. Story wasn't bad, and it has to normal Ubisoft complaints, but the game is good.

[Employee of bestbuy] WOWOWOW! I didn't think the series could get better after Valhalla but boy was I wrong! AC Shadows is breathe of fresh air - exhilerating fun with beautiful surroundings and atmospheres at every turn you take! If you're a die hard AC fan like myself then I can't recommend this game enough! 5/5 storyline, gameplay, character development, weapons! I personally enjoy it all, thanks ubisoft!

There's not much to say about this one. Just another mid game from Ubisoft. The combat is decent and the graphics are pretty good but the voice acting is pretty bad. If you mist play this I'd recommend getting it on sale at a deep deep deep discount.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is everything I hoped for and more. The visuals are breathtaking—seriously, every scene feels like you’re walking through a cinematic masterpiece. The attention to detail in the setting, especially the architecture and landscapes, is unreal. The dual protagonist dynamic is a refreshing twist. Both characters are unique, and switching between them adds a fun layer to the gameplay. The stealth mechanics are smooth, and the combat is incredibly satisfying. I also really love how the storyline unfolds—it’s rich, emotional, and keeps me hooked. As for Best Buy, the pre-order process was simple, and I got the game right on time. The packaging was secure and in perfect condition. If you’re an Assassin’s Creed fan or just love an open-world adventure with depth, you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to keep exploring!
