Its a very creative and stunningly poloshed experience with a cartoon style humor and sensibility. Even the original was an unexpected masterpiece. Dont ruin games by watching it all on YouTube first.

As a huge fan of platformers i can say with confidence that this goes above and beyond. As a huge Mario Galaxy fan this scratches the itch I have been having for a while. From the power-ups that make me feel invincible and enjoy button mashing, to the unique levels that are vibrant and eye catching. With more than 300 bots and items to collect the game rewards you for exploring levels and doesn’t make it feel overwhelming. There’s so much more to the game that makes it amazing but i wont spoil it in my review. Especially in the levels where you get to use some of the abilities of your favorite PlayStation stars! I only wish that game is longer but other than that amazing job Team Asobi! I hope to see this game at the game awards this year!

I had so much fun with this game. It’s simple to pick up and play and greatly encourages completion. Every level has it’s own distinct theme in both scenery and music. It’s visually pleasing and the songs are nicely composes. Considering that you’re also travelling to different galaxies and planets, it pretty much serves as Sony’s version of Mario Galaxy. The collectibles serve as a nice PlayStation history lesson, which is gimmicky, but it is respectible. Even though it’s not a long game, you’ll still enjoy your time with it. Any PS5 owner should play this.

I had feared platformers coming from non Nintendo AAA companies were gone, but doing Astro’s Playroom as a pack in game with the PS5, and that being so popular that they developed a full Astro Bot game, I think those fears are gone after the game won Game of the Year. So many cool concepts for traversal. Beautiful levels. The haptic feel coming from the controllers cannot be over stated. This and Astro’s Playroom are the only games out there fully taking advantage of the PS5 controller’s capabilities. There’s even a speaker in the controller that plays just the right amount of sound, and knows when to play sound, and more importantly when not to.

I had high hopes for this game when I saw that it was coming out and I can say after playing the game in its entirety it has exceeded those expectations. Astro Bot is a joy to play, watch be played and even just listen to given the great soundtrack. For someone who has played Nintendo games his whole life Astro Bot can be easily be compared to those great platformers. Even if you are not a big Playstation fan you owe it to yourself to play this game. It is just fun. Each level is unique and builds on itself as you progress though the game. There are various mechanics you'll be introduced to that will keep you in your toes and always saying, what's next? The length of the game is great and does not overstay its welcome nor does it lack on content. Once you have finished the base game the developer has added challenging new levels that add more fun and bots to collect. If you own a Playstation 5 you need this game.

Astro Bot is the best 3D platformer I've played since Super Mario Odyssey. It's colorful and gorgeous, cute, and tons of fun (So fun that I've already played it to 100% completion on all 3 save files). As well as very challenging in some stages. This game is also a love letter to everything on Playstation. If you own a Playstation 5, this is a must-have for your game library.

It's very rare that a game holds my 7 year old's attention for more than a few hours, ans I was hesitant to get this game because I thought it was just be a minor continuation of the freeone that came with the PS5 but i was weong. It's a compeltely new game with lots of fun stuff to find. The secrets sre challenging enough to be fun to find but not too hard to where a kid can't find them. There are a lot of fun collectibles and the level design is awesome. There's a bunch of unique game mechanics and power ups. There's no complicated story or cutscenes, it's a simple yet fun game for all ages. I haven't beaten it myself yet since my daughter will not get off and let me play lol. The game could probably be 100%ed in about 8-10 hours by a seasoned player but my kid has been playing for about 16 hours and is about halfway, so for that alone i think it's worth it.

One of the best platforming games of all time. On the level of Mario's best, with as much character and charm as the best of them, and some of the tightest controls and unique and inspired levels/power ups that just put a smile on your face.
The mainline levels are easy enough for children, but there are plenty of very challenging levels per "world", as well as special challenge levels and speed run levels for you if you like a good challenge. There is plenty of content for both the casual and the hardcore platforming fans.
If you're a Playstation fan, or have a any Playstation history, the nostalgia is AAA+

From the moment you start playing, you're immersed in a world of vibrant colors and stunning visuals that truly showcase the power of the PS5. The art style is both charming and detailed, making every level a joy to explore.
The gameplay mechanics are where Astro Bot really shines. The use of the DualSense controller is nothing short of revolutionary. You can feel every step, jump, and interaction with the environment, thanks to the incredible haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. The platforming is smooth and intuitive, with each level offering unique challenges and creative uses of the controller's features.
Astro Bot is not just a game; it's an experience that highlights the potential of next-gen gaming. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or new to the platform, this game is a must-play. It's fun, engaging, and a perfect showcase of what the PS5 can do. Highly recommended!

Overall pretty much Astro Playroom 2.0. While a fun game it's pretty much just what Astro's Playroom was which was a commercial game to promote what the PS5 controller with its haptic feedback could do. The gameplay is fun and the additional added bots with their various game avatar skins is a nice touch. Is the game worth $60? Not really as overall it just feels like and extended addition to the Astro Playroom game with some added bonus content. Wait until Black Friday when the game goes on sale if you can get it for $40 great or maybe even $50 but $60 just seems a little steep for a game that just amounted to a physical DLC add-on content.

This product works well and delivers solid performance for the price. The design is simple, easy to use, and feels fairly durable. It handled the main tasks I bought it for without any major issues. While there are a few small areas that could be improved, overall it provides good value and I would recommend it to others looking for a reliable option.

I generally am more of a JRPG gamer than a player of platformers. I do play other genres, too, but I figure I should preface with that.
Astro Bot amazed me with how fun it can be. And it has tons of nostalgia for people who have played a lot of games on Playstation over the years (in particular I loved seeing the bots based on Symphony of the Night and Ratchet and Clank)
It’s fun that can be appreciated by all ages and experience levels, but not without some challenging optional levels to test more experienced gamers!

Astro Bot is an absolute delight from start to finish. It’s bursting with charm, color, and creativity—every level feels like a love letter to PlayStation fans. The gameplay is tight and satisfying, the visuals are stunning, and the use of the DualSense controller is probably the best I’ve experienced so far. It’s not just a tech demo anymore—this is a full-on platforming masterpiece. Whether you're a longtime gamer or playing with your kids, this game is a must-have for any PS5 owner!

Man, Astro Bot is the full-blown sequel to that freebie Astro’s Playroom that my kids played and replayed. Now with over 80 wild levels across six galaxies, where you’re rescuing your bot buddies from crazy worlds.
Power-ups are next-level fun: turn into a shrinking mouse dodging giants, squeeze a giant sponge to blast water, punch with frog arms, or ride a jetpack dog that smashes everything.
I thought the DualSense controller was shown off pretty well with the first game but I’ll be darned if they didn’t take it to the next level. You feel every texture buzzing through your hands, triggers squeeze like real sponges, and gyro controls make flying your ship feel alive. It’s PS5 magic at its best.
Standout moments like “Downsize Surprise” shrink you into chaos, plus nostalgic PS cameos continue as you would expect. It really hits that sweet spot of creativity without any frustration. Levels are replayable. . Lastly I would add value wise, definately worth it. My 8 year old, Totally obsessed, and keeps calling me in regularly to show me what he can do next, and for me, them logging hours hunting bots in a fun wholesome environment is totally worth the $60 asking price. Steal of the century, beats any sitter bribe hands down. Not to mention the smack talking skills my son has developed along the way as I try and fail to show him how its done. Take my money!

This is a delightful game, and a real love letter to Playstation's past. This is a 3-D platformer with a strong focus on collectables - most of which are tributes to other Playstation games and franchises associated with Playstation (for example, Metal Gear and Final Fantasy). The addition of free DLC since the game's release has also provided additional content that's extended the game's shelf life. There aren't a lot of quality family-friendly games in Playstation's repertoire, which makes this one shine even more.

If you love platformers, this is an absolute buy(especially if you have been a PlayStation fan all your life). Even if you not a fan of the genre, Astro's Playroom(free game with your PS5) is a great litmus test to see if you will like the game or not.
Crystal clear image quality, great performance at a stable 60 fps, and simple controls with creative level designs - I really can't think of too many faults for this game. Maybe that sometimes sprinting doesn't always seem to work unless you press the analog stick hard?
Just to note the game is easy overall, but there are some challenge levels that will test you.
