As the saying goes, "you get what you pay for". This is definitely a low end, budget laptop in every way. Unlike a previous laptop I owned, it has no CD/DVD drive. It has no fan or vent at the bottom of the case, so the only way heat can be extracted is from the vent on the left side. There is no easy way to replace the battery; I guess Asus would rather you buy a new laptop if the battery dies. It's just a very slow performing laptop. The processor and memory don't seem adequate to keep up with the demands of Windows 10. The hardware might be fine if it was running Chrome OS or Linux, but it doesn't have enough get up and go for the bloated Windows OS with all of its background processes. Save your money and buy a better laptop.

I do understand your disappointment with the quality of the product and the inconvenience this may have caused you if you are experiencing slow system speed or performance. On the contrary, lots of satisfied customers, having positive experience using the product, will agree with me that the unit is a decent system that is perfect for running basic and light computing applications, without compromising system stability and performance. In order to maintain optimum system stability and performance, cumulative WINDOWS Update needs to be installed periodically. If you are accessing web applications, please make sure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance. Also, clearing internet cache or browsing history will improve system performance. The battery is replacement, however, it is not easily accessible. The bottom cover needs to be unscrewed in order to access the battery.
