Had to try three routers before finding one that could handle all my components. This one was by far the easiest to set up. I literally had everything set in 5 minutes and have had no problems whatsoever.

This is the first time I have purchased a router. I usually lease one from my internet provider. This router was very easy to hook up and works flawlessly. Plus, it's very appealing and modern looking!

This router has a very good reach, speedy and has advanced options found in commercial grade routers. However, 6 months later it needs an occasional restart as the wifi will sometimes fail to keep devices connected. The solution for this is schedule a restart while I'm sleeping using the software built in once a week.

Bought to increase my wifi bandwidth with Stay-at-home, COVID-19 lock down. My Cable modem service is 40mb/5mb. Checking via FAST.COM the integrated WiFi modem I was getting ~14mbps download, now typically ~23mbps download. ~3.5 upload to ~4.2 upload.
For perspective, it's not the speeds I get at my office on-site with LAN (93mbps/76mbps) on this laptop, so client hardware is not a concern.
Also, spouses' iPad has no access problems in any corner of the house so familial harmony has been restored.
Finally, it doesn't look like a WWII radar tower on top of the cabinet in the living room, so you have that bonus.

Here we are in March of 2020 and the router is performing admirably. Recently had a cable service technician out to the house because of wildly fluctuating connection speeds. After he replaced old frayed coax, we went inside to test the connection speed. My 200 Mbps service level is provisioned for 240 Mbps. Upon connecting afresh, my laptop consistently tests 233 Mbps from 20 feet away using the 5Ghz band. I couldn't be more pleased with the throughput of this router. Though its the first ASUS router I've ever owned, it certainly won't be the last. Hopefully, it'll last a long time before I need to replace it.

I purchased this router to act as AiMesh Node to extend my home network with my previously installed Asus router. Setup was easy (after updating the firmware) and it looks great.

The router blends into the back drop of my current networking setup. This router does not have any preference loss due to the design. For my use there is more then enough bandwidth for all my portable devices. The web interface is easy to use and provides a good amount of settings for the average home user.

I bought this Mesh wifi router to increase my signal strength throughout my home. Like the fact that it provides two frequencies 2.5 GHz and 5GHz for near and far communication.

I recently installed and has been very happy. The signal coverage is fine within my medium-size condo, even the 5g. Speed is great, and I have not any problems so far.

The router works great with Cox internet and in combo with the arris doscis 3.0 cable modem. The only issues i am having is with my google home connection. the internet seems to cause the smart clocks to lose connection every now and then.

Maybe it's my unit but my old router WiFi signal would reach the corner of my room where my bed is and this new Asus router has trouble. Some pages load in a weird way; before everything was instant. Not extremely happy with the router but it was on sale for half off and it looks like an art piece.

Even though I have had issues with this model, it still is probably better than most modems for the price.
The "main" issue I experienced is that if downloading a file, it would stop any additional file downloads from working and in fact wouldn't even let web surfing work until the download would finish. I'm still not sure if I can get that sorted... didn't happen with any other router.
Also, overall the speed and range are better than my previous router, but oddly I have to have my roku positioned just right or it kept dropping the connection and picking up low speeds.
I had bought two of these, returned one, kept the other. I guess I will still recommend it because most likely my download issue is some fluke,

Router gets slow with no reason and stops working, than you have to restart it. It is way over prized! It has a nice design, but that is not what I expect from this product! I would not recommend this!

Don't update the firmware.

I've owned this since July 2019 and it worked great until this month when I upgraded the firmware. I have a lot of smart home devices that run on 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi. But since I updated the firmware I barely connect to the 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi. It keeps telling me I have the wrong password. After entering the same password over a dozen times it will finally connect. I guess it is time for a new router since I can't fine a way to revert to the old firmware.

it was hard to get hooked up and running, had to call for help. It replaces one the was older but working fine. I was told by Charter that a new one was needed to keep up with speeds provided. I see no difference to date with the new one but it looks cool and runs well.

This router is great! I was surprised how strong the signal is and was even able to remove my downstairs router since the signal is so strong
