After checking CNET reviews, this was highly rated for usage, cost, and consistency. Much better than the Lynksys, definitely better signal reception for hand-helds, tab, phone, laptops, etc.

I like that My children can watch Netflix and Hbogo without killing my computer signal.

This is the best router I've ever owned - and I've owned a lot of routers. Plain and simple, people want long range, FAST wifi. This router delivers, and also has an extremely easy set-up and customization admin dashboard.

Router was easy to set up. I was able to set up and use minutes after I opened the box. Interface with the router is very simple.

The set up was relatively easy. However, the range within my house is much less than expected. I have had to set up a range extender which then impacts the speed of the connection. Overall, it has been reliable but not outstanding. I wish I had known that it does not work well unless there is a direct line of site to the unit.

Asus has the best routers. This is a cost-effective way to bring Wifi to the whole house. Easy setup.

I really needed to update my previous router. No complaints.

incredible feature-set, yet able to simply plug-in and GO. Even tho it doesn't have external antennas, it does have enough power & sensitivity to reach all over my house reliably.

This replaced my old Linksys router. It was recommended to me by a friend who is an it pro. It looks great on the desk has great features and is ez to set up. Good coverage in a 50'wide house it is set up in the basement office. Very happy so far.

I ordered this on Monday morning and received it in the mail on Wednesday I got free shipping. Best Buy had the lowest price on the Internet. The router wasn't too difficult to set up. I like the Interface on the browser set up page it was easier to understand than the Netgear that I replaced.

Bought this to update existing cable modem/router. Performs flawlessly, delivering wireless signal to over 5 devices at once. Very stylish design, and much smaller than expected.

Fastest WAN and LAN speeds of any router I have ever owned.... Love the new ASUSWRT firmware. Its amazing. Asus's DDNS services are unmatched! Won't suggest any other series of routers at all, until something better comes out.

I read reviews on this router and they were excellent. I needed a router that stays on and is reliable. So far this router has lived up to the reviews and I am not disappointed.

This is with out a doubt the best router I have ever had. After my old one started dropping the signal all over the place and crashing needing a reboot (it was 3 years old). I started researching for a new router. I came across this, read many a review and that made my decision. The design is minimal yet sleek and stylish. I currently have over 7 WiFi devices accessing this router and 4 additional android/iphone devices that also access it in a household of 4 people. The dual band feature works great and my internet performance has never been better. Some times we have 3 devices streaming video from apple and netflix with no lag. other times I downloading big files while some one else is web surfing and another updating big apps on there iPad with no problems. I waited at least two months before writing this review just to make sure everything was till going well. Installation is easy, I purposely looked for a stand up model since I determined that my last model would over heat lying flat with many devices downloading from it. That is what ruined it, and now no heating issues anymore. I have a phone system with 2 wireless handsets that connect to the one hard-line set. I did get a lot of interference from them on my old router. Not anymore with the Asus router not even on the 2.4GHz band which is what the phone system operates on. The 5Ghz band on the router is a shorter range band but most my mobile devices don't need it as much since they still download faster on the 2.4Ghz band then the cell network anyways, hard to complain there, for me anyways. Plus all my streaming and computer devices are all well within the 5GHz band range. For the future I like the usb options for a network printer and media server I intend to do over the next year. I have three older printers (one for each desktop in the house.) now I can replace them all with a one new all in one printer and scanner that i can also print to from my iPhone without a special app on my desktop for my iPhone to connect to. I also have a massive movie library on my main computer that I intend to move over to a new media server that everyone in the household can access through the Asus router. All this capability and dual speed is wonderful for the price. I am very happy with this purchase. I didn't even know Asus made WiFi Routers until I found this one. A big recommended device for everyone.

When I am on the wireless router, I really can't tell any difference in the speed compared to being on the docking station.

Had to call support and they were lost more than me.

I had this router for close to 2 years now, it has held up pretty good over the years. It is very good in terms of speed and ease of use. It has nice range to cover the entire apartment. Only niggle is the occassional hiccups with connections getting dropped. Recommend if you need a fast router.

I will recommend this to anyone looking for a router.

I was sick and tired of cheaper routers starting to fail, act inconsistently, etc... after just a year and half of use. I did a lot of research, and decided to go with this Asus product. It is sleak, space saving, attractive on a desk, incredibly easy to set up, and outperforms any router in its price range. Do some research, take a look at the competing routers, and consider your home network needs. We are a family of six, four of us heavily connected for work, multimedia, video games, phones, etc... There is a lot of network activity in our house, and this router delivers! Our download speeds jumped from just a few mb with the old router to 20-25 mb/sec. with this router. It is nice to have something that delivers wirelessly what our internet provider is delivering wired - without fluctuations in performance. I LOATH Asus as a company due to duplicitus customer service experiences with my laptop, however this product is worth the money. I would recommend this to friends and family without any hesitation.

returned it for another manuf. which installed in 8 min. with software provided. the Asus would not connect or recognize my setup.
