I've been using this external DVD/CD device for over a year now and I'm quite happy with its function. Even as an external unit, there is no lag in reading contents using a DVD as a data unit to read or write or watching a movie. The same with using it with CDs for data or listening.

Using for as external DVD to play music from our old CD's. Unfortunately computers do not have CD slots any longer. This is very handy to use to play old CD's. ASUS brand prooved its quality again.

It’s amazing and it does all the thing you expect it to! I use it to rip my CDs to my iTunes and they sound as they would on CDs! This is an amazing little thing! Does come with USB so it would powered up and rip your CDs!

The CD player works just fine. It has a UBS plug, so you can use it in your car and with your computer.

Easy to set up. I needed some way to view old picture discs of vacations, family, etc. My computer does not accept discs so I bought this External USB. Works really well and was an inexpensive way to solve the problem.
