Weight machine I love it and I was easy to use and did exactly what it was supposed to so happy with that

Works like it should, eventually CD's will be obsolete so this is how they are transfered to a computer for digital use

Easy to use external hard drive for any laptop that requires a disc drive for any reasons. So you simply unwrap it, insert USB into the laptop port, and wait for the download; if any before writing or burning CD or disc. Highly recommended for any customers or students looking for a great presentation on a disc!

This was an easy install. My only negative on this product is i wish it would have had movie player software instead of just burning software.

new computer did not come with a much needed cd drive. plugged it in and it works, not much else because that's all it needs to do is work.

Bought a new pc and it did not have a cd drive. Needed to load some software that is only available via cd. Found this and have been happy with it. It does what it should. I have not tried to write any data, only read.

I have been very happy with this external optical drive! It operates smoothly and quietly, and has done what I have asked of it perfectly. It is slim enough and light enough to fit easily into my laptop carry case, and so far I have not had any need to utilize the included extra USB cord for additional power to the unit; the single has been just fine.

Great product for a fair price. I would recommend this product to everyone!

For the last few years PCs don’t come with an internal disc drive. This one is well built and I’ve used it with zero problems. The connecting cord has 2 male USB connectors. If the main one for data transfer isn’t getting enough power from your computer port to drive it, just plug the second one into another port and the two connections will solve the problem.

Works excellent with my new ASUS Zenbook. excellent capability for the price. Slim, neat, stylish. More than enough options & speed for my occasional need for a CD/DVD drive.

Needed one for my laptop and wanted to transfer all my CDs to digital format and this did the job. I haven’t tried burning CDs with it yet. It’s a little flimsy so the build could’ve been better, but it’s only sitting on my desk and not being moved around much so it’s not a big deal.

Good for what it does. The door tends to stick on anything around the opening which is why the downgrade. I found putting the player on something a bit smaller than it will remove the problem. Reads my cd's and DVD's without any problems. Whether those were commercial products or ones that I recorded. This is not the bluray version. The read speed is fast, and the player reads smudged or slightly dirty disks well. I had one disk with a deeper scratch that gave it problems, but other than that one time, it read anything I put into it.

The drive performs well though I wish the cord was the USB specialty cord was longer, but why it didn't get 5 stars is the Power2Go utility that comes with it to rip a CD. The utility will not transfer any descriptive information on a CD, such as CD title, song title, artist name, etc., and you can only rip in one format, WMA. I know the company wants to sell me an upgrade but if that is all they offer for free, I am not going to gamble on an upgrade!

Needed and DVD writer in a pinch while visiting Austin TX. This one did the job as needed.

Nifty little peripheral that does what it should. My wife and I needed to upload some photos that were stored on a CD and we only had 2 laptops without CD-Drives. I ran out and bought this and we had the photos transferred to our computer in minutes! Definitely recommend.

It works like it should, the store representative was no high pressure baloney. I haven't tried to play a DVD back through my TV yet; but I suspect it will. I did not want to buy this online because they are real expensive, used or a Chinese knockoff.

Excellent option when your computer does not come with one. I have been burning my music CDs to my hard drive so that I can have my music whenever I want.
