The ASUS - 24x Write/16x Rewrite/24x Read CD - 8x Write DVD External USB 2.0 DVD-Writer Drive - Black was so easy to install and works great with my new all-in-one desk top! When I don't need it, I can unplug it and put it away. When I need it, it is readily available!

Works great, I needed it to use with my Turbo Tax CD on Windows 11 and everything worked well. It came with a disk to load the CD player information onto your computer, very easy setup.

The DVD drive has great functionality and portability. The included disc links an old driver page that is no longer active. If using windows 10 computer don't have to worry about installing any additional drivers.

Used it for saving some music to my computer worked great

This external cd drive does the exact job it was created for, and does not bring error, at least nt yet lol. I would recommend this to anyone that needs one, like my pc since the build didnt fit an internal cd drive. Plus, Acer brand is the way to go!

Bought this to go with an Asus Tuf gaming laptop. Had a few older games that were on disc that needed to be installed. Complete plus and play. This drive needs to be connected to 2 USB ports to work properly. I have watched DVD’s on the laptop with this with zero problems. It also quickly downloads games to the laptop. No complaints whatsoever.

It does have 2 usb connections which I happen to have available on my pc. I had purchased a different brand which didn't work at all. This one worked on everything I tried. So pleased.

Since laptops these days have no built in drive this external DVD has come in very useful. It is faster to install a software program with a CD than it is to download from a website.

Since most competing devices, do not come with a DVD RW Drive, this particular one is easy to use. Just plug it in and you’re ready to go play your favorite movies. Since Microsoft doesn’t includes the CODEX to play DVD movies, download the open source VLC media player.

My daughter needed this for her college class and she is very happy with it. Simple to setup and get running almost immediately.
