This laptop has shown no probles yet and the screen resolution is great the key board is bigger than I am used to but it is very nice and having the back light is very nice the speed of the computer is outstanding. This computer is great for students and can handle mild downloads.

This is the first laptop I have ever owned. It wasn't until my last job that I even used a laptop. So far I am very satisfied with this laptop. It is a bit heavy, but then that's what you get with the larger ones, I guess. I have had no problems with it at all. The only gripe I have is that the black finish really collects fingerprints. Not a big deal, really.

I'm not crazy about WIndows 8 and look forward to the updated program, Windows 10. It's taken a lot of time to adjust to the new screen, touch options and other facets of the new software. Aside from that, I love the computer.

Seems well - built. No major problems. I like the numeric keypad, which seems to be disappearing from many newer 15-inch notebooks. Plenty of CPU and Memory for moderate use. I don't do gaming, so can't comment on suitability for that. The hard drive is pretty slow for a computer with otherwise higher-end specs. On the plus side, replacing the HD with an SSD was very easy - remove screws around the perimeter of the bottom, pop it off, hard drive is easily accessible. Wi-Fi works fine with Netgear Nighthawk R7000-100NAS router, although the 11ac Wi-Fi chip (from Intel) in this computer is limited to 886 Mbps. Power button is on the left edge instead of above the keyboard, so you won't accidently press it with your knee when the computer is in tablet mode on your lap, but I have accidentally pressed it several times when picking the computer up with my left hand. The power button is also right next to the volume buttons, so you have to be careful when adjusting the volume (or use the F11/F12 keys instead). Have a few gripes with Windows 8.1 (changed default graphics settings to fit more stuff on screen; can't restore a full backup to a smaller HD/SSD partition), but I don't count that against Asus.

My last laptop was a Toshiba and I loved it. This laptop has been exceeding my expectations. It is fairly quiet and light weight. The Asus laptop flips to be able to use it as a tablet which is great when I am in class. It would be awesome if this Asus laptop came with a stylus pen for when I use the screen as a tablet.

The hardware itself is very nice and the touchscreen is a nice addition. The downfall is Windows 8 and it's horrible mix of old and new. Can't wait for 10, I mean, anything's got to be better than 8, right?

I am new to touchscreens. I love it. This computer is light, and the battery has a long life. A great laptop! I bought it on sale days before Father's Day. Nicely discounted, and free software bundle. Holiday shopping is the best!

This one caught my eye for a few reasons: it's a 2-in-1 which flips, it has a 10-key, and it is light-weight, at least in comparison to my previous laptop. The only thing missing is the optical drive. I understand they're on their way out but I have some CDs I wish to record from. No biggie. I can still do that on my previous laptop (it's still alive). It has a fast processor, I trust the brand (from previous experience), and the built-in webcam has good resolution. Not the best resolution but still pretty good.

I needed a laptop for school, but didn't need anything too powerful. I was looking for an efficient, yet some thing not too costly. I found this Laptop which had good specs and all the features I was looking for. A solid processor, big enough HD, IPS panel, and 8GB of ram. Some of the issues I ran into with the laptop was the trackpad. It would not register as clearly as I'd like. Also, the left key has had an issue from the first week I purchased it, but I didn't expect it too be that big of a deal and didn't want to bother returning it, so check the keyboard when you purchase it. Lastly, the network/connectivity has some issues at time, but other than that, this is a very solid laptop for common daily use.

I like the flexibility of using this unit as a tablet and or a laptop. It has all of the bells and whistles anyone can need. Fairly lightweight and not cumbersome to travel at all. I am still trying to learn and utilize all of the apps and other built ins to the OS and hard drive. Looking forward to many years of use with this machine.

Fun product with great features. My favorites include: light up keyboard, big touchscreen, photo editing program, screen that flips 360 degrees so laptop can be used as a tablet, and lightweight!
Not fond of the fact that it comes with no disk drive (but I don't know that any do anymore), no restoration disks (again, not sure that any come with this), and no Word software.

When the keyboard in my prior laptop started having issued, I purchased this to replace it. The keyboard has a wonderful touch and even though I'm not much of a touchscreen person (I'm a transcrriptionist and legal secretary) I have enjoyed the ability to turn this laptop into a tablet and use a stylus to show my husband different items on the internet. I would really recommend this to anyone looking for a quality machine!

I bought this laptop for my sister going to college. It was very easy to set up and upgrade. She loves the touch screen although she says sometimes it "sticks". It has decent speed and she is happy with it.

I've had the ASUS Flip for 2 months now, with a 5th generation i5 and 8gb memory. It's been a solid performer with a beautiful 1080 screen, long battery life and quiet operation. I had hesitantly returned a Toshiba to buy the ASUS, and I am SO glad I did. While I almost never rotate into the 'tablet mode,' tilting the screen to a 180 position has been extremely useful for setting on a flexible arm desk-mount. which I use with a bluetooth keyboard. ASUS hit a home run with this one.

It has great speed for a laptop. It does fold into a tablet which works alright. And now since it has windows 10 it works a lot better. Plenty of space too for storing what you need.
