I would have waited for some third party cases to hit the market but I am traveling and didn't want to carry the Ally naked in my carry-on. It provides some protection without adding bulk. I hate the gamer-ish feel though. It looks cheap. If you can wait, I would. Look for something from a different company.

Good for a soft case

Id have loved to see ASUS release an offical hard shell case for the Ally as well, but im sure a 3rd party will do it soon.

This will protect your console in your bag, but not if you drop it. The Steamdeck case on the other hand is much more solid. Like the Steamdeck case, there is no room for a charger sadly.

Asus Rog Ally case!

It also has thumbstick holes to help protect the thumbsticks from being damaged. I love the weight and design of the case as well. Definitely recommend to a friend or customer who is looking at this item.

No. Through a war? Definitely not. Heck, it won't even protect it from a fall off your coffee table lol. BUT....I'm careful with my tech and I needed a simple, space-saving case to protect it inside my purse (from keys and such). This does just that in style.
