Ever since I got the computer I've been able to a lot of things faster in terms of school work and video games. I really recommend it to people who want to play games, people who have a not-so-good computer, and people who want to use it for "work" or other purposes.

Great for light gaming, wouldn't recommend because only a month passed and I have to get a battery REPLACMENT!! Save your money buy Mac laptop instead

This laptop is so light but so functional is unreal! I am currently running The Witcher 3 at High settings and it simply looks amazing almost like in ultra no lie. FPS is stable and perfect. Colors are vibrant and colors show nicely in games. Hard Drive runs semi-fast shockingly, but I recommend a 500GB SSD for super speed and boot up I definitely recommend this laptop to anyone for portability

Nice specs. Solid build. Fingerprint magnet. Sound could be better, didnt like touchpad too much. It gets pretty toasty under load(gaming) but most laptops do, only on the bottom area, the keyboard stays cool. A bit expensive when compared to other laptops with smilar specs.

I can find no fault in this computer other than personal preferences. The mouse pad is sensitive and will register my hand when typing, frustrating when I don't know where my cursor is at. I haven't bought a laptop in 10 years so I don't have a real comparison with other computers of it's time. Also, I love the red markings on the keys when using a screen in darker colors, but hate them when using a white screen. Since some of options are "shift" accessible and I still need to look for them, this can be difficult. Again, these are personal preferences and not a fault in the laptop itself. It is light and I love taking it with me everywhere I go. I've had little time to game since my purchase but have had no problems running any programs so far. I consider ASUS a reliable brand, my desktop dual monitor set ups are from them as well. Happy shopping!

Best Buy made a deal with ASUS to modify the original ROG G501JW so they could sell it as a "best buy exclusive". What this ultimately meant was they removed 16GB of RAM and replaced it with 8GB of lesser quality RAM. I bought this laptop to use Adobe Creative Cloud and regularly have those programs freeze up on me, even with updated graphics drivers. I wish they had left the original amount of RAM in there. Now I am having to buy RAM elsewhere and install it to upgrade a laptop that should have been killer from the start. I recommend this laptop, but not the Best Buy version. Look for the G501JW elsewhere with the newer gen-6 i7 and 16GB RAM and you'll be set.

Purchased this for my son as he entered his last semester of college. His Dell just wasn't cutting it anymore. Fast boot times, great display and integration of Windows 10 with the Adobe Cloud and Microsoft Office applications! Lightweight but not in the features and quality department!

Runs all games flawlessly and has great video. Only problem I have noticed is that it gets quite hot when running on hight quality.

Excellent computer. It's a 15.6 inch computer - however due to its thin size, weight is not an issue and it is not heavy. It works well and programs easily pull up.

Great and solid Laptop, have no issues except would like a better trackpad other than that it runs smooth graphics are amazing and the specs are all that you need

Functions as expected, with a couple of exceptions. Microsoft Edge: uggh, this ticks me off way too often for me to be anywhere near happy with it. Touchpad Mouse: omg. it's so aggravating when the mouse/cursor jumps to weird places on the screen as I am typing. Also, the left click&hold activates and stays when I don't want it to do so.

A laptop that does everything. You could even run a high demanding program with no issues in it like video and photo editing. Good for simulation programs and the graphics is very powerful.

I love the look of this laptop. Also, its powerful yet light. Its very ideal for someone who needs a powerful machine on the road.

The larger screen is nice but not used to the extra size yet. New to Windows 10 so may take me awhile to get used to it.

I had a lot of problems with my Lenovo laptop. This one has been much easier to use and I know have peace of mind that the company (Best Buy) will back up this product.

First year in college required a new laptop and this did the trick and then some. Great for doing homework and for playing around in the dorms, watching Netflix and listening to music.

Works well for my type of gaming (Steam, Blizzard, Origin) No problems although I'd rather it had NO touchpad since I like my mouse.

Great laptop for playing games. Has nice FPS while playing and also beautiful graphics. A worthy product for the price.
