I did plenty of research before purchasing this Laptop and it performs well for the price of $2,179. I previously had an HP Victus but didn’t like the quality as it felt very plastic, had a wobbly screen and was too bulky. The quality of this laptop and my previous one was day and night. As an Architecture student it was a no-brainer as it’s very slim, portable and powerful which other gaming laptops cannot offer. It also has a professional look with little to no RBG and doesn’t come off as “Tacky”. It preforms well with rendering software and CAD Programs. I could say it has similar performance to my Desktop that has an RTX 4070 TI. I would 100% recommend this laptop to students who need a powerful processor and graphic card. However, the two issues with this laptop is the cooling as it can run hot when rendering which is expected due to the slim build and 16” size. I would recommend that you buy a laptop cooler like an IETS or llano it definitely makes a difference and temperatures will definitely drop. Another knock on the laptop is the fact that it can leave smudges on which can be easily fixed with the purchase of a skin to avoid any cosmetic issues with the laptop itself. However, I would still recommend this Laptop if it’s within your Budget range.

great battery life and screen
but you gotta remember the limitations to gaming laptops. if you want to game you gotta plug it in. for general use feel free to run it on battery your whole shift

This things pretty rad. OLED screen is pretty neat and good for movies and gameplay. Battey life is pretty good when using ASUS's army crate iGPU mode and power saving mode for regular task and stuff (9ish hours). I get decent frames on Borderlands 4 with DLSS (120) with minor latency and okay frames on Helldivers 2 (90).

I think this laptop is great! I'm upgrading from the previous with 16gb of ram and a rtx 4070. I need more ram and little more GPU power for my personal project needs and gaming. I think this specific model of this laptop is the sweet spot. It's a very nice all metal light weight laptop I can travel with and still have enough power to play my favorite games with good settings and fps. The OLED screen is amazing, the keyboard is very nice, touch pad is very sleek, and the speakers are great. The only thing about this laptop that technology hasn't been able to solve yet is that it can be loud under 100% load at full power draw. Under normal load and casual internet browsing, YouTube, coding, twitch, all of it is quiet. I don't have any problems so far with this laptop. I don't think anyone who gets this will be disappointed. If it fits your needs I think you'll like this laptop.

Overall great product for work, gaming, content consumption, media creation. Whatever you need they can get it done with pretty decent battery life to go along with it.

Bucks the trend of the traditional RBG BRO gaming laptop. Looks professional and minimal, while having great functionality. I would classify this as the best gaming laptop out now, bar none. The only thing on par would be the Razer Blade.
I appreciate the low level of Windows bloatware that Asus ships with.
Great performance with AAA games, and it doesn't break a sweat doing it. Maximum power savings through GHelper allowed me to get almost 9hrs of battery life, which is fantastic. This thing is truly the best of both worlds as a commuter laptop.
Unfortunately, the entire experience is let down by buggy hardware & crashes. After getting everything installed and set-up it started crashing multiple times with no real reason. I tried a brand new installation of Windows 11 and it was no better.
I hope that Asus does better. History shows that the 2023 Zephyrus series had the same issues out of the box and they eventually fixed them... Still, ultimately I returned this, because I can't accept so many problems with usability for such an expensive device. It's a shame because I really, really like this laptop.

Powerful laptop that is portable as well. Great desktop gaming as well as on the go work. During productivity work laptop charges of the usbc without issues unlike other laptops i tried like the legion that only slow down the drain on the battery, rather than charging.

This high-performance laptop seems perfect for software development and gaming. Its sleek, lightweight design feels premium to the touch, while the powerful graphics card delivers impressive performance. The large, crystal-clear display enhances both work and entertainment experiences.
However, my shopping experience has been disappointing due to persistent delivery issues. Despite waiting nearly a month, I still haven't received the product. To make matters worse, the discount period has ended, adding to my frustration. I hope the retailer resolves this soon.

Love the laptop. Haven’t had any problems over the last month. Easily runs everything. Very portable when moving or traveling. I also use it as a desktop replacement.

Screen, performace, keyboard are all great. Don’t love the asus rog “dare” start up splash screen that you can’t turn off, but thats the only issue so far.

I recently picked up the ASUS ROG laptop with the RTX 5070 Ti GPU from Best Buy, and it's been nothing short of incredible. The graphics performance is top-tier—smooth frame rates on ultra settings for AAA titles, and excellent cooling keeps temps in check during long sessions. The display is crisp and vibrant, making games and media look stunning. Build quality is solid, with that signature ROG design that feels premium and futuristic.
Boot times are lightning-fast thanks to the SSD, and multitasking is effortless with the powerful CPU-GPU combo. Whether you're gaming, streaming, or doing creative work, this machine handles it all with ease.
Highly recommend this laptop to anyone serious about performance and reliability. Great buy at Best Buy!

If you essentially want a Mac Book Pro 16 but running native Windows, this is it. The 5070ti is the sweet spot on this device due to wattage restrictions on the GPU. It does get a bit loud if you push the device, but running in silent mode does give....ok gaming experience without noise. Performance mode is the best noise to performance ratio. Turbo is just too much noise for me. Overall, fantastic device if you can look past the premium price.

Great laptop. Display is very clear not only for gaming but also for school work. Good battery life for all day schoolwork and a bit less if your playing games.

I really wanted to like this laptop; its performance was great for a laptop, and the screen is top tier. Unfortunately, it had so many tedious things.
The first issue was powering it on. At first, I had no issues, but then after a single day, I would have to plug it in just to power it on, and then I could use it. I'm not sure what caused this, but the issues started after doing a BIOS update and updating Windows, etc.
The second issue was power modes; they never saved, and every use, I would have to change all my settings back to what I liked.
Third came down to noise levels. I get it's a thin gaming laptop, but if you wanted max performance, the fan curves, preset or custom, were all over the place.
I kept this laptop for the better part of a week, and I tried my best to like it, but after so many issues kept stacking up any time I used it, I finally just got tired of it and returned it. Also, a warning: if purchased online, at least from my experience, UPS did not like delivering a high-value package, and after two days of difficulties, I finally got them to leave it at a drop-off point, but I unfortunately lost 40 bucks I spent on the faster shipping.
We sincerely apologize for the issues you've faced with the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 GU605CR Gaming Laptop and for the inconvenience this has caused you. What you've experienced was not intentional or representative of our brand. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and will be passed to our Product Team for review.
Having returned the laptop, we hope that you were able to obtain a functional replacement.

Windows Macbook Pro Experience

Extremely good value if you get an open box deal. This is as close as a windows laptop gets to the macbook pro experience. The screen is great, speakers are phenomenal, and performance is great for the form factor, although the 5080 and 5090 don't get the full wattage that larger laptops would have. I get roughly 8-9 hours of battery life when working with VScode, WSL, Firefox, and Discord open, which is about the same with just firefox open playing youtube.

The ASUS Zephyrus G16 is an awesome laptop if you need power and portability. It handles schoolwork, creative projects, and gaming without breaking a sweat — video editing, coding, and AAA games all run super smooth. The screen is crisp and colorful, the keyboard feels great for long typing sessions, and the battery life is solid for a high-performance machine. It’s a bit pricey, but for what you get — speed, performance, and build quality — it’s totally worth it.
