Incredible performance in video games, sometimes fan becomes too loud

I’m a civil engineer and this ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 works great both on site and in the office. It runs AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D and structural software smoothly, and the RTX GPU speeds up 3D views and renderings. The OLED screen is sharp for reviewing plans, it’s light enough to carry to site visits, and the 1 TB SSD handles large projects easily. Fans get a bit loud under heavy load, but overall it’s a fast, reliable and very capable work laptop.

I wanted a beast of a computer to upgrade my work laptop and got this one. I'm not a gamer and wasn't planning to use it for that. This laptop is beautiful, it didn't seem to get too hot and was able to handle the tasks I was using it for mostly several windows with Acrobat software open at the same time, which tends to be an issue in less powerful computers). I decided to return it because I realized a) I wasn't going to use or need some of the features it was designed for, and b) I wanted a better battery life. I changed the refresh rate to 60hz and all settings to conserve energy but was only getting about 4.5 hrs on the battery. Maybe if I was more of a computer nerd I could dial this down to suit my needs? I would definitely recommend it to a more computer-knowledgeable person.

I did plenty of research before purchasing this Laptop and it performs well for the price of $2,179. I previously had an HP Victus but didn’t like the quality as it felt very plastic, had a wobbly screen and was too bulky. The quality of this laptop and my previous one was day and night. As an Architecture student it was a no-brainer as it’s very slim, portable and powerful which other gaming laptops cannot offer. It also has a professional look with little to no RBG and doesn’t come off as “Tacky”. It preforms well with rendering software and CAD Programs. I could say it has similar performance to my Desktop that has an RTX 4070 TI. I would 100% recommend this laptop to students who need a powerful processor and graphic card. However, the two issues with this laptop is the cooling as it can run hot when rendering which is expected due to the slim build and 16” size. I would recommend that you buy a laptop cooler like an IETS or llano it definitely makes a difference and temperatures will definitely drop. Another knock on the laptop is the fact that it can leave smudges on which can be easily fixed with the purchase of a skin to avoid any cosmetic issues with the laptop itself. However, I would still recommend this Laptop if it’s within your Budget range.

Great laptop over all the screen is great i absolutely love it it only having 2 USB-A ports is kinda disappointing but it its fine you can always get a USB hub for about $60 ish and it not having a ethernet is kinda sad but it is a very thin and light laptop id get it when some kind of sale is on

This is the third time I've tried to buy and keep this machine. It is powerful, has great battery life, and looks sleek and professional. Unfortunately, there is a quality control issue. Two of them had loose mouse pads. The third one was a lot less loose but I was willing to accept that. However, after a week or so there were vertical lines on the display, especially at low brightness. Also, the power connector on the side feels loose. Overall the quality of the parts is good. But the way it's all put together is poor quality.

If you essentially want a Mac Book Pro 16 but running native Windows, this is it. The 5070ti is the sweet spot on this device due to wattage restrictions on the GPU. It does get a bit loud if you push the device, but running in silent mode does give....ok gaming experience without noise. Performance mode is the best noise to performance ratio. Turbo is just too much noise for me. Overall, fantastic device if you can look past the premium price.

Powerful laptop that is portable as well. Great desktop gaming as well as on the go work. During productivity work laptop charges of the usbc without issues unlike other laptops i tried like the legion that only slow down the drain on the battery, rather than charging.

Great Craphics, Strong computer that is used for Architecture applications and programs. The first one that I bought was a lemon with faults on the screen that made it turn to grey with just the pointer visible. Nevertheless I have the Best Buy Membership that allowed me to return it at the store where I bought and got an even exchange for a brand new one that works great so far.

It's great! The colors are vibrant on the screen, the keyboard and touchpad are very responsive, plenty of storage space even for a gamer who likes mods.

This is my 2nd gaming laptop and my 1st high-end laptop. My eyes were really into the Lenovo Legion laptops but they don’t have it in store so I ended up with this model. I like the minimalist design it feels like a mac, feels premium. Loving the screen, tried playing Ghost of Tsushima and Black Myth Wukong and both look so good (everything looks good). Specs and performance, I haven’t played long enough to feel the drop in performance (like heat throttle).

I really wanted to like this laptop; its performance was great for a laptop, and the screen is top tier. Unfortunately, it had so many tedious things. The first issue was powering it on. At first, I had no issues, but then after a single day, I would have to plug it in just to power it on, and then I could use it. I'm not sure what caused this, but the issues started after doing a BIOS update and updating Windows, etc. The second issue was power modes; they never saved, and every use, I would have to change all my settings back to what I liked. Third came down to noise levels. I get it's a thin gaming laptop, but if you wanted max performance, the fan curves, preset or custom, were all over the place. I kept this laptop for the better part of a week, and I tried my best to like it, but after so many issues kept stacking up any time I used it, I finally just got tired of it and returned it. Also, a warning: if purchased online, at least from my experience, UPS did not like delivering a high-value package, and after two days of difficulties, I finally got them to leave it at a drop-off point, but I unfortunately lost 40 bucks I spent on the faster shipping.

I’m fully satisfied with this product. The design is outstanding and truly feels premium in everyday use. It looks sleek, modern, and well thought out. The only downside is the build quality — there is a slight creaking noise when opening and closing the lid. It’s not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. Overall, still a great product and I would recommend it.

I absolutely am in love with my new Asus ROG Zephyrus 16’ laptop. 32gb ram and 1tb storage. It’s super fast and has a beautiful display. The battery last me a solid 10 hours I would say between charges. Has everything I wanted and the light strip on the top view is a nice touch. Highly recommend. The staff at the Best Buy location I bought it from was also top notch! Shoutout to Morgan for being so patient with me and helping me out!
