I researched many and this is tye perfect balance of weight vs performance. Just hits the spot and Asus/Intel is a great combo. Mainly a school/engineering + gaming usage and build quality RGB is great.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing laptop I had the 4070 but wanted to get the 4080 so I upgraded. 4070 did everything right was perfect gamed played games Used it for 3D modeling using it for what it is for. Once I got the 4080 it went down hill I could not run armoury crate to run on turbo mode the computer would lag a little bit at boot up… Did the BIOS update that dudnt help reinstalled and armoury crate about 15 times that did not help. until i said well oh well i will just factory reset it worked for 2 min and then took a poop again. I know there is an alternative for it but I much rather use what is built on the computer instead of having to get a 3rd party download etc etc… I took it in they just said to get it replaced since I barley had 3 days with it so I did… and today I recived it and guess what same exact thing happened it would crash it wouldnt let me go i to turbo mode said “STR_svcCommError” i just did not want to deal with it so I just took it back. You maybe wondering well just becuase of that? Yeah… it made the laptop Lag on boot up I can’t use it on the performance setting if I wanted too I really do not know if I just got 2 Malfunction laptops or what Just beware when buying a almost $3k laptop.

Some tinkering in GHub makes it better, but just take that into consideration.

I imagine this could've been resolved with some work; the GPU wasn't thermal throttling at all. But the creaking... the bottom panel and the hinges creak so badly. The aluminum chassis feels great, and the display and speakers are incredible, but the quality control is unacceptable for a laptop this expensive, and I have found these build quality faults repeatedly in ROG laptops I've bought.
