Disappointed in the performance of the load Balance/ dual wan features. I mean who wants to run load balancing when you can't even have firewall protection while doing so? I guess doesn't have enough ram to do both. Furthermore, I received my router on January 3rd and I work out of town all week and was going to return the router this weekend because it's basically useless to me now and Best buy says it's non-returnable and I am a Best buy plus member. I'm just sick that I'm stuck with this thing. It's seriously going to get thrown in the trash I guess.

Router is plagued with deauth and deassoc errors.

This router is no bueno as they say. Unauth and deassoc. errors rule this router. and it'll drop connection at least once a day. sometimes many times a day. my first review was taken down... not sure why. just google asus deauth deassoc errors and you'll get plenty results. asuswrt merlin software not availalble for this model of asus either. if i could go back in time i would not of choose this router.

Amazing! Easier to setup and manage than the Netgear I had. Haven't even had to reboot it since setting it up. Has 2.4g, 5g, and 6g. No windows app, but has one for mobile and web.

Non Existent Asus Customer Support & Not Reliable

I am a retired network professional and purchased this router for my home. I have had it one month. From the first day of implementation, the 2.4 GHz network would drop. This issue is consistent and never up for more than 24 hours. I have spent unbelievable time trying to diagnose and resolve. Changing channels. Change channel band width and more. The most frustrating thing, is that the company would respond to my open ticket with suggestions and information, like logs. On multiple time. But never have looked into the problem or read the logs. You cannot talk to a support person. And it takes 2 or 3 days, if lucky, for them to get back to you. But again, they never respond on their end except for asking the same questions and logs. I get the feeling they want me to go away and they can't deal with this problem. My expectations is that a company should support their product and certainly if the product is the latest technology, it should work. I told Asus that if they don't get back to me with help, I am returning the router. And this is indeed what had to happen. Nothing from them.
On positive notes, the 5 GHz network worked flawlessly! And fast. I loved the security features and the network attached storage feature. There were a lot of great features to like and that is why I spent so much time trying to get this work. And yes, it was at the latest firmware.

The product is blazing fast. It gives the best speeds I've gotten on any router so far. I also love the VPN capacities.
Unfortunately, my unit like so many others kept restarting unexpectedly. I work from home a few days a week and this has disrupted my meetings and general ability to do work throughout the day. I also use it for gaming, streaming, and other internet usage. It's so unfortunate because it's such a robust router with a lot of features. I tried everything to resolve the issue, but it never resolved. I had to put it away and go back to my previous router - a bit slower, but completely stable.
Oh well. A waste of money. And you have to pay Asus for extended support to get help. Ridiculous. Probably won't buy Asus again.

Good coverage and packed with features

This router provides the best coverage for my ~2,000 square feet two-story home. I upgraded from my Netgear R6700 and have 500 Mbps/20 Mbps internet from Spectrum. This router is packed with quality of service (QoS), network security, guest network, VPN, and much more features, making the router a good value.
However, my devices are rarely connected to the 6 GHz band, which was my main purpose of getting this router. I've reset this router several times, which temporarily gave my devices Wi-Fi 6E connection instead of just Wi-Fi 6, but now my devices are back to connecting to just the Wi-Fi 6 standard. I also dislike the way that ASUS placed the WPS push button, reset button, and power switch under the router.

The Fast and the Spurious

Range was mostly the same as my 2014 Netgear router, maybe slightly better? Power button on the bottom along with reset button which was annoying but could easily be ignored if all worked well. Sadly, this was not the case. Has a nice look to it but I could never get all 3 bands to work at the same time. Lots of error messages in the log files, resetting and starting over made things worse. Disconnections etc. There's not even a beta firmware available to give me hope it would be fixed. I liked some of the features and the app was nice but too many bugs and who knows if it will ever be fixed. Some of the problems were mentioned on forums for other Asus routers several years old. Not a good sign. Returning, lets hope I get a refund, be wary of using the Best Buy CC as they do not always honor refunds and customer service is poor.

Really good router

Placed in ~2600sq ft single story with finished walk out basement. Router is in basement office close to ceiling. Both 2.5 Ghz and 5 Ghz have very good coverage in entire house. 6 Ghz is weak but operational upstairs but this is be sxpected as 6 Ghz is really not known for much over 15ft through walls. You really need to mesh (which this router supports) if you want multi floor whole house coverage. I get consistent 950 Mbs to 1 Gbs downloads and 900Mbs+ upload speeds to wireless 6 and 6e devices and ~1Gbs upload and download on Cat 6 ethernet (all speed tests performed using a 1 Gbs fiber service and using Google fiber benchmark test). Set up is petty easy and App is pretty good although i like the Linksys App just a little better.

Good router that allows me to reach up to 2.5 Gbps. Lots of wireless customization and very good/strong signal for the whole house. However, there seems to be a bug when you use bandwidth limiter where it will restrict your overall network speed. The reboot takes time (about 3 minutes or so) to stabilize as compared to previous routers I owned. I wish memory is bigger since I sometimes reach up to 80%?utilization ( good that it goes down though)

Internet speeds have never been better! I made the move to fiber and my old router wasn't able to transmit the full speed. This model is capable of the Wifi 6e, and will be more than capable for future internet upgrades!

This is a great little router. I am using it in an AiMesh network as a node. Gt-AXE1100 is the main router. I have an old, large house and with the two I have very good coverage. Currently using wireless backhaul and working on setting up wired backhaul. Even with the wireless backhaul speed is good. Having the dedicated wireless channel for the backhaul helps.

Despite other reviews, I've had good results with this router over the last month. Speed tests are great and love having 6e wifi for my speedy devices. So far, so good!

Good router, the only problem I had with this is the QoS settings slow down browsing. When they are running they add a slow down to all your browsing.

Started off ok...but the last few months it frequently and randomly drops settings. The 6E barely had any range!
Thank god I bought the insurance- its going back.
