This monitor is very solid! The stand is just about with the money alone. The use to have the monitor oriented horizontally is very easy, and adjusting the height and angle is just as easy while still maintaining a very strong and stable feel to it. The stand is not flimsy at all. The monitor itself is very nice and produced a great viewing experience for playing games. 144hz at 1080p is solid for most gamers, and this monitor is able to accomplish that at a very reasonable price.

Has a really nice looking picture and still working just as good as when I first used it. Great screen for gaming.

For the product, I would definitely recommend purchasing. 144hz IPS panel doesn't get much better. This monitor can be rotated, twisted, turned, whatever angle you need really. You can even adjust the height. The product 100% I would recommend to anyone buying. Just make sure you test the product first, because the first one I received was defective and the displayport was DOA. As for purchasing this from BestBuy, go anywhere else. Literally I waited over 3 weeks for this monitor to get to me because BestBuy messed up my original order and then essentially lost my order because it was "Delayed" for over a week due to "Inventory issues" but upon checking the product site if I purchased on May 21-22 I could "Get it by Tuesday May 26th" and then didn't even actually receive it til Friday the 29th.

Clean crisp with a great color pallet pretty good price for 144 hz

Great monitor, with one caveat, you must take the time to adjust the color and contrast settings. Out of the box display settings left me feeling meh, but once I adjusted things on the monitor itself it all became clear how nice of a display it is. For contrast I mirrored my 12 year old lcd screen to compare side by side and I was amazed at how much clearer this display is. Well worth the money and compares favorable to more expensive monitors.

I ordered this monitor on Black Friday and it arrived 3 days later on Monday. When I turned it on, there was 1 stuck pixel in the bottom left corner. I tried pressing on it and using online pixel fixers, but they did not work. I walked to the local Best Buy and was able to exchange it for another vg249q, and this one has worked great. No pixel issues and the monitor has performed great for the price. The 144hz refresh rate is very smooth and a clear step up from my previous 60hz monitor. The colors are vibrant and the picture quality is quite sharp. The one critique I have is the buttons and OSD. It is a little inconvenient to use but once you have your settings figured out, it shouldn't be a huge issue.

I wanted a decent, fast monitor for 1080P gaming. I initially purchased the 27" version, but it being 1080, the image quality wasn't as sharp. I returned it for a 23.8" version and it's a whole lot nicer. I've had it for a while now and it's been great. No dead pixels. Besides gaming, I also wanted a monitor that can also give me the best color reproduction since I am also a photographer. This monitor's colors are excellent for the price. Matches the colors of my LG monitor almost exactly. I feel confident using this Asus monitor to edit my photos and do other multimedia creations that required good colors. I'd buy this again.. The stand is awesome. Very adjustable.. Wish my LG had that feature. The only cons I can think about this monitor would be the display cable and the port for it on the back. The cable itself is good, but the retaining clips were not necessary imo. If you remove the cables often, it can get a bit annoying since depressing the tab down to remove the cable isn't always easy. The display port on the back of the monitor is in an awkward spot and you almost have to bend the cable to plug it in. Not a deal breaker. I filed off the retaining clips to make removing the display cable a lot easier.

ASUS you’ve did it again. Started off with a vg245h and now I use it for my Mac mini. Switched to the vg249q for my Xbox and I couldn’t be happier. This is a complete gaming monitor that will run you a hair over 200 dollars. The price alone is very appealing for what comes in this monitor. If your looking for a quality monitor with an excellent picture display that’s up to par with a lot of more expensive monitors. This monitor is what your looking for. It won’t break the bank and it’s produced by TUF gaming. Overall this is an excellent gaming monitor and u can’t go wrong with any ASUS monitor Top-Vg245h Bottom-Vg249q

Very satisfied with this monitor. I got this on sale for $199. 144 Hz is like night and day compared to 60 Hz. It's adjustable stand is very nice, but I ended up removing it in order to attach it to a dual monitor VESA stand (which this monitor supports!). Monitor comes with a DisplayPort cable too, which was nice. The monitor was shipped in its original box, which seemed pretty strong for shipping purposes.

Great monitor, although I haven’t really tested it. I bought this to run in the vertical position as my second monitor to go w my dell 32’ curved monitor. Probably overkill for what I’m using it for, but I wanted it also be able to provide a gaming experience if needed. Mostly I use it for system performance software and setting while I’m gaming, and for work as another workspace.

Been a breeze with this monitor. No fuss, no defects, just an IPS monitor at 1080p 144hz for sub $200. Got mine for $170 on sale and I'd recommend others to do the same because this is some great value for a top-quality Asus product. The included stand is phenomenal and has a pretty free range of motion. The panel is clear and the colors are vibrant. Pretty good experience so far.

Bought this for my son. He loves it. Uses it for video games, not necessarily homework.

The Monitor is well built, and its 3 way adjustable. The thin bezels at the top are really good. The 144hz is really smooth and one can tell difference b/w 60 hz refresh and 144hz on this monitor Speakers sound are good There is any issue with the white screen at times, it flickers between the low and high brightness when the monitor is in Warm Color mode (Night mode in Windows 10).
