Absolutely loved having such a large range and going portrait mode makes this super easy. Performance inside of games is stellar as I'm coming off a slower refresh rate. I thought I'd be giving up a lot of quality by going to a 1080p screen but I should have known it'd be ok considering that's a standard resolution on the competitive scene. I did miss having a little more side resolution but I'll be gaming on this screen and using productivity software on the other now. Only nitpick I had was the area for the plugs into the back of the monitor was a little shallow so I felt like I had to bend the cords a little more than I liked to plug them in.

Good quality monitor for work and gaming

The ability to adjust the angle, height, and rotate the monitor vertically have been really helpful for my work. The quality of the image is also great for gaming. Overall I like the monitor.

An affordable gamer's monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't be deterred by the screen measurements and 1080p resolution - this is a fantastic monitor that should be at the top of any gamer's wish list. The screen quality is simply fantastic, with great brightness and excellent color production. The real standout, though, is the responsiveness. I use this monitor with an Xbox One X, and I'm amazed at what 4K TVs aren't able to do that this little monitor can. There is no simulated motion blur here; what you get is instant-response vivid motion that shows a continuity of animation that really lets you see what game designers intended. Subtle differences in light and shading that typically get compressed into murky background effects suddenly reveal contours and features you weren't able to see before. Just observe any small little body of water in motion in Red Dead Redemption II or Skyrim Remastered and you'll see what I mean. The build quality is solid, or at least as solid as plastic can be, and comparable to other monitors in this price range. The display panel has superb viewing angles. The only area where the display is lacking a bit is in the production of black. Blacks look better than on other monitors of this size I've seen, but hints of grey poke through indicating the display can't represent the deepest, squid-ink blacks with the same facility that higher-end panels can. This is more of a quibble than a flaw, though. The one major disappointment comes with the omission of a second HDMI port. Most gaming monitors of comparable size (and lower refresh rate) include this as a standard feature, so I was a bit let down by this. If you're primarily a PC gamer, though, this shouldn't be too annoying. Menu options are easily accessible and straightforward as well. Max brightness is very good, though not supernova-bright like some other Asus products. Color adjustment options quite frankly don't feel that necessary given the display quality, so the options available are more than sufficient. In short, if you'd like a monitor suited for gaming and don't want to drop more than $300, then this is the perfect choice for you. Don't shrug this off because of its resolution; this monitor is worth every penny.

Great Monitor!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome Monitor! I’m pretty impressed with this monitor! First thing was to set it up on my desk. I love the versatility of portrait and landscape that the stand gives it and how easy it is to change back and forth. Be sure to raise the monitor all the way up when your in landscape before you go to portrait so you don’t scuff the stand base when you try to flip it like I did. The base is sturdy and well built. Got it hooked up through HDMI and not the Display Cable it comes with. Luckily I had an x-tra HDMI cable. Since I’m using a MAC I had to buy a USB-C to HDMI adapter too. It would have been nice to have that included but that would be very unusual as adapters are somewhat expensive. Got my adapter for about 15 Dollars US and it works great. Turned it on and changed from the 60mhz which I guess is native when I plugged in the monitor and changed it to 120mhz and 1600x900. Keep in mind I am not a super computer nerd but I love to game across multiple platforms and tech in general. I spent some time playing with the different settings the monitor is cable of. Note: I read somebody “overclocked” their video card and ran it at 144mhz. When I raised the refresh to 144mhz the screen went black and I had to mirror the monitors and lower the mhz back to 120mhz. The buttons on the bottom of the monitor let you do some cool things, there is a timer that you can set in the upper left to keep track of rounds and a frame rate tracker which is cool. Depends on how in-depth you want to go. I cranked up the contrast from 80 to 98 and the brightness from 90 to 100. I also recommend moving the Vivid Pixel setting to 25 and the monitor looks great! I ran it through Fortnite and Tropico 6 and it was beautiful! I also plugged my PS4 in for some high end first person shooters and Call of Duty Modern Warfare & GTA looked amazing. Smooth and crisp and the shadow boost really popped on Call of Duty. I also found it was really great for video editing as well! I use Adobe Premier 2020cc and it was cool to turn it portrait and have all my videos on the assembly box show up portrait and drag over to editing window and vice versa. Great monitor!
