I honestly haven’t bought monitors in ages , for media and gaming I went with LG 4k HDR tv Despite how amazing that looks I know there’s more it like something can improve... so this came across and wow this the best monitor for less then 240$ with tax can get you Performance is amazing I play ps4 on it for now although ps4 stays on only 60hz you still feel a difference compared to tv all 60 FPS never drops and just very smooth and slick call of duty,battlefield,destiny 2 etc look phenomenal Design: Looks really cool thin vessels amazing color and very decent brightness, lovee the stand sooo easy 1 screw on main 2 plates on bottom and ready. Speakers are decent not the greatest but for me i don’t use It, I use headset 5/5 stars

Gaming is extremely crisp and clear! Refresh rate is perfect, resolution is beautiful. Highly recommend. I do a lot of competitive gaming and have had no issues whatsoever, graphics are excellent!

It's a little big, but it is great. It has excellent quality, easy to install, great visual quality. That it is adjustable is a pleasant feature.

I previously had a 100 dollar monitor and this monitor blow my mind with the color and just how it looks in general I would recommend for anyone

Setup was easy. Picture is great! I haven't had any issues at all with this monitor so far.

Bought for teenage son gaming. He was pleased with whatever numbers were important. Haha. He has no complaints

I like the look of it how it rises up and down. I like that it tilts and rotates. Great gaming computer!

A really customizable 144 hz monitor.. The only thing though is that on some games (Some old games, and some other games like Yakuza 0), the screen flickers. But I guess that on those games, you can just skip the cutscenes. Who plays the game for the story?

Been using this amazing monitor for about 1 year. So far no problems what so ever. Good picture quality. Would recommend to anyone, though I'd say at a lower price.

After messing with some settings. Monitor does what it’s supposed to do and is fine for me. Only thing I would say bad is the menu buttons if it had a little joystick it would be good

Gaming looks great on the PS5 @ 120hz. Barely a bezel around the monitor itself makes it look smaller than it is. Considering a 27” upgrade

I am always pretty lucky with how long products last me. Even previous Asus products. My last Asus monitor lasted me 7 years! In 2019 I decided to upgrade my PC that was using an Asus motherboard from 2010, just because I wanted an upgrade and not because it was broken. This is the first product in a long time that has seen a failure so quickly. I bought it on Nov 26 2020 for a pretty good price for the specs. A few days ago I started to see an inch thick row of pixels along the bottom of the monitor. The rest of the monitor seems to work fine. Although, now when it turns on and it does not detect a connection, the screen behind the detect connection message is bright blue, rather than black (how it used to be) with some pink pixels in various places. Tried some basic things, and then verified it was the monitor and not my GPU. Did not want to void its warranty with some DIY fixes, so I decided to start the warranty process. When I would attempt to input the s/n in the Online RMA process, a message would pop up noting that Best Buy/Geek Squad services this product. I thought that was kind of weird, but after various attempts I was l decided to contact Best Buy. After chatting with Best Buy through online chat and the phone, they gave me an appointment to take the monitor in to be repaired. I even asked if this is normal, as in would I have to pay anything, as I do not have a Geek Squad warranty etc. They said if my monitor was indeed broken then they could contact Asus to honor the warranty or something like that. The day of, I lugged the monitor to Best Buy and a guy at the Geek Squad area tells they don't fulfill Asus monitor warranties (insert clown face emoji here). Not really Best Buy's fault (although I had explained my situation thoroughly to them on the phone and they still set me up with an appointment that led me to go there). Asus needs to check out that misleading message popping up when certain non desktop/laptop serial numbers are input into the Online RMA process. They told me to attempt to return it, which I knew was silly as I purchased it like 9 months ago, and that failed. So I lugged it back home and call Asus. Now I am learning I will have to pay to ship it to them for them to fix it. I am tempted to just open it up myself and attempt to fix it. Good luck!

what hard drive does my pc need to have bcuz the pc i will be buying only have like 1.5TB hard drive

Great compared the one i had. Great brightness options and wonderful graphics

Works with gsync and is affordable. Lots of ways to hook it up. Good screen size. Blue light filtering option.

I was running 240 fps on fortnite with this monitor

Like don't get me wrong the monitor is far beyond impressive, however a few too many complications for my streaming setup and use of Elgato HD60S on my PS4. The monitor does not at all detect the HDMI setup for the capture card and results into a black screen on the monitor while the video does split and displays on the laptop software. It's not the capture cards problem because it in deed works on other TVs and monitors, just not the ASUS VG249Q. Also while using an HDMI to Display port cable, the Monitor does not recognize at all the PS4, so maybe I just received a faulty monitor but it seriously is frustrating having to wait for customer service and tell them all of the steps and troubleshooting that I have done alone to even try to get it work. Probably returning it or selling it to someone to get my money's worth back. Don't advertise it as a Gaming Monitor if you can't use it with Elgato period!

The monitor is beautiful.... However i have now gone through 2 of them and both that i purchased came with a dead pixel out of the box. Bringing this one back to best buy once again in hopes the third one will not have a dead pixel, if it does then i will have to go away from asus after exclusively using their products.
