Very good laptop when purchased on discount! The quality isnt a 5 star but its a good 4. The laptop is quick due to the specs. The battery life is between average and good. full charge gives about 12 hours. Display is super beautiful and amazing! If there’s a great deal on this laptop please don’t hesitate!

Pros: - very, very good battery life. I got over 12 hours of use without power saving modes over the course of 3 days, so the laptop drained somewhat overnight as well. - good performance. The integrated graphics are very good and will allow you to play many games comfortably. - comfortable keyboard and trackpad - beautiful screen for watching movies/videos - great port selection Cons: - fingerprint magnet. I have sweaty hands, and this thing looked genuinely gross after normal usage due to how much it attracts fingerprints. - low resolution + OLED weirdness makes text look ugly. 1200p should be fine for a laptop of this size, but text has a noticeable rainbow effect due to the sub pixel layout of the OLED panel and looks a bit pixelated. - OLED longevity. Asus does more than some other brands to prevent OLED burn in with techniques like Pixel Shift, but it will only delay the inevitable. Your OLED screen will burn in at some point. If you're like me, this will make you feel like you have to baby the laptop and worry about displaying static elements on screen, which is an added concern that you should not have to deal with on a laptop.

Portable/Lightweight, Bright Screen, Long battery life, Fast performance, Low heat and Quiet. Decent video game performance. Played about 2/3 through TLOU Part 1 getting around 25-55 fps depending on the area. Plays/Looks similar to the PS3 version of the game (all lowest settings). Very playable performance, low heat, and quiet. Speakers are pretty good. Not the best/loudest laptop speakers but still exceeded my expectations for $650. Big touchpad with gestures (volume and brightness sliders on left/right). Good travel distance with keyboard. You are able to change the backlit color of the keys. Keys could be a little brighter at max setting for some colors but still can make out all the keys. Potential Cons for some: -Fingerprint magnet -Older video games (DirectX9/10) may need some tinkering to get to work properly (60 fps) because of the ARC graphics. (Google Intel Arc DXVK) (Needed to do this for Dragon Age Origin, Fallout 3, Deus Ex Human Revolution, and Assassin's Creed Odyssey) -Had to remap the Co-Pilot key with AutoHotkey to the Ctrl Key. Would have been nice for that to be included in the Asus Software. -No fingerprint login/scanner. -Would prefer power button to be on the side or above the keyboard and not be a keyboard button. -Would prefer larger arrow keys.

We purchased this for a staff member and it’s been excellent so far—no complaints at all. It handles multitasking and cloud-based systems seamlessly. The video quality is impressive, which is important for us since we rely heavily on virtual meeting platforms. Overall, a great value for the price—we were fortunate to get a fantastic deal

Hi, wanna now something, what's missing from this sentence? illing me not to telll you but I can't type the letter (comes after J) Why? Don't now. Asus tells me it's not a warranty issue because they don't cover eyboards. Frustrating. The computer is fantastic. Love it, trying to get the eyboard fixed because I got a great deal at Best Buy and I really don't want replace it. It's snappy, boots quicly and handles even some more intensive tass very well. Just be careful with the eyboard. The board itself is great, nice feel and is comfortable to use, until it breas.

I recently purchased an open-box Asus VivoBook S14 OLED from Best Buy listed as “Excellent – Certified” condition. The laptop itself works perfectly—no cosmetic damage, and the performance is fantastic. It was labeled as a shelf display unit, but honestly, it looks and runs like new. However, my main issue lies with the warranty promise. Best Buy advertises a 1-year manufacturer warranty for open-box laptops in excellent condition, which heavily influenced my buying decision. But once I registered the laptop with ASUS, it showed out of warranty. After some digging, I learned it only came with a 90-day warranty—and that too only after I called ASUS customer service to get it updated. Best Buy’s warranty policy for open-box units is either unclear or misleading, and that’s disappointing. I expected better transparency, especially from a major retailer. If you’re considering an open-box device from Best Buy, double-check the warranty coverage before buying. The laptop itself is great, but the warranty experience was frustrating and felt like a broken promise.

Got this laptop for $450. Build quality feels a little cheap compared to a MacBook air, but it was literally half the price and is comparable in terms of battery life and performance.

Picked this up for a versatile school computer and it works well for that. It's not beefy enough for some of the most intense games but it's good enough for what it's used for. Overall it's a good computer that does it's job well.

I was looking for a laptop to connect to my dual monitors for daily use. At less than $500, this has been a great buy. It's a fingerprint magnet, but I barely use the laptop by itself, so I am okay. i have been running my market trends and doing my work at the same time without any lag. i do not game at all so i don't know how good this laptop would be for gaming. its a very good laptop for the way i use it.

I got this for 450, for its preformace and that price it's unbeatable. Runs Arch Linux fine.
