Very solid laptop.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this on sale for $750. At that price it's a very good choice, but I probably wouldn't buy it for any more than that. I use Arch Linux on it and it runs well but some parts of setup were complicated. I primarily use it for schoolwork and some gaming and it does well. The only complaint I have is the fact that it gets very hot very easily.

Great choice!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this laptop I use it to edit photos and play a few pc games and both work great so far! The only downside is some games make it super hot to the touch but it’s not a heavy duty gaming laptop so I expected that

It Smashes All My Buttons!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No laptop is perfect, but if you search for one that most completely matches your needs, you are likely to be pleased. I am greatly pleased with this Asus. At its price point, I have seen this model referred to as “midrange”. Using pricing as a measure, I can somewhat agree that the description is apt, but this model scores 100 per cent on meeting all my personal needs at a very reasonable price. It is light. At 2.82 pounds, it is gorgeous in its Jasper Gray metal case and sports a beautiful 14-inch touchscreen OLED panel. It does not have 2.8K resolution, but for office work the color accurate 400 nit (500 nits with HDR enabled) screen with 1920 X 1200 resolution is just fine for me and should increase battery life for the snappy Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor. This model sports a hefty 75-watt hour battery. Battery life is more important to me than extended resolution. If you must have 2.8K, there is another Asus model sold by Best Buy that meets that spec, albeit for a higher price. If you are torn on this issue, simply visit your local Best Buy and compare the screens. I could not be happier with mine. For office work and media consumption, it is perfect. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR5 RAM and a1TB Gen 4 SSD further complement this Evo Edition package, and ports are plentiful. There is a single 3.2 USB-A port on the left side, and two USB-C ports on the right. Each USB-C port can pass video and serve as a charging connection, and they are both Thunderbolt 4 speced. There is also an HDMI port on the right as well as a headphone jack. If you need an SD card slot or ethernet, you’ll need a dongle. On a thin laptop like this one, there is simply not enough physical space to supply every possible physical port. The lighted keyboard is comfortable, and the keys are well spaced with enough travel to make typing a pleasure. The webcam is 1080p and produces a natural, detailed picture. The camera is infrared and works with Windows Hello for hands- free login. There is no fingerprint sensor. The Intel Core Ultra 7 processor literally tears through office work and web browsing. It is also more than adequate for light video editing and should easily handle your photo editing chores. I am not a gamer, so you will need to look to other reviewers for their opinions on gaming. I do not think this laptop is aimed at hard core gamers. Neither heat nor fan noise has plagued me during my testing of this model. You should expect exemplary battery life, along with efficient performance. I can easily get a full day of battery life with my office productivity chores. I love this Asus. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous and Responsive
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a few weeks in and the experience has been wonderful. It seems quite lightweight but durable. The picture is gorgeous. This is my first experience with OLED and I'm very impressed. The battery life has surprised me at how long it has lasted. I've even managed to play some full games at ultra settings. The only concern I had is that if you do run games which are more intensive, it does heat up a bit. However, I've used a USB laptop fan cooling pad sort of thing and it does wonders. In general, heat isn't an issue, anyway. I never thought I'd use a touch screen, but it has come in handy far more frequently than I ever imagined.

Not worth it.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The computer is fast but there are quirks to it. It overheats quickly and the speakers work when they want to. I can't even plug in speakers or use Bluetooth to get the audio to work when they are acting up. I bought this computer to do online work and it has been more of a hassle than what it's worth. If you buy it, I'd highly recommend buying the extended insurance, just in case.

Great for causal or school use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use R programming with Rstudio and also regular daily tab use. I notice there is some overheating, especially when charging and using at the same time. The laptop gets very hot, and I'm not sure if the fan is doing a great job. If I could return it for a different laptop I probably would. The sound has also been just ok, I have noticed that for some uses, the loudest sound still sounds muffled, but on other occasions, the sound is really good. However, on the plus, the screen quality is great, the mousepad feels nice, and for casual use or for school it would be great quality and fast.

A good laptop for student and light work
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Migrate from Mac. I have to say the price is budget and build quality is the reason I choose this one. Most spec is good enough for me in my work and graduate studies. Small reminder for people would like to buy, this laptop sometime is overheating when you connect an external monitor. And the trackpad is not as good as when I use Mac. But the price is really good I buy it 830 including tax. Overall condition is pretty good.

Reasonably Priced Gaming Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a beautiful laptop and it is touch screen! I mostly use this to play The Sims 4 and so far I have had no issues at all. It does get a little hot if I try to play while the laptop is charging but other than that I have no complaints.

Good in this Price Group.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased during the Thanksgiving time. I have been using this for the past 60 days. I am using it for development purposes and it is delivering a good performance so far. The display is good. The AI is not inbuilt. The only thing I noticed is that it produces more heat while playing any games. I know this is not a gaming laptop. This is just ignorable.

good but...: (
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first time owning a Windows laptop after owning Apple for a lifetime. I like it; however, I've noticed that it overheats whenever I open an app or start charging, and sometimes I get nervous that it will explode or something. I only bought it for video games and tech-related stuff. Its a bummer that they don't have apps for writing.

Solid performance at the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid laptop at this price point. The keyboard and case all feel very sturdy and the display is bright, crisp. The CPU performance is decent while multitasking. The only negative I've experienced is the computer seems to get hot rather quickly. The fan kicks on high under pretty limited stress.
