Loving the 14” WUXGA OLED touch display... vibrant colours and crisp visuals. Long battery life, it lasts all day on a single charge for my use. Lightweight & Gray finish gives it a sophisticated look that stands out in any setting. Can open the lid with one hand due to stable hinges. Got it in a good deal, happy with the purchase. DON'T BUY IF YOU MIND COIL WHINE
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was using a Dell XPS 9510 before this. It worked excellently however the battery life was pathetic, like 3-4 hours on a good day. However, I did not mind that as I had easy access to charging ports. While working on my XPS I spilled some coffee onto it. The laptop obviously stopped working and is stuck in a boot loop. I now have stopped drinking coffee. The money saved went towards this ASUS Zenbook. The Zenbook has an amazing display and an even better battery life. Easily lasts 2 days on light use or an entire work day with heavy use. Since this is 60HZ, its battery life is better than the versions of the same model with a higher refresh rate. The one thing I noticed is that the trackpad is a little smaller than the XPS by about 25%. I would have preferred it but this is fine, just takes about 2 weeks to get used to. I would also have preferred if there were type c ports on both sides as that would make charging possible from either direction. I love the fact that the laptop has a physical camera cover, and is extremely light. The laptop has most features that are standard now such as battery protection and noise reduction. KEEP IN MIND THAT THE LAPTOP HAS SOME SERIOUS COIL WHINE. If you don't know what that is, it is a high-pitched noise that occurs when current flows through electrical components. According to ASUS "It is neither a hardware defect nor affecting the device". It is only audible in quiet environments. There are a few downsides to the laptop, firstly it does not have a fingerprint sensor which is an issue in high brightness areas or when there is a light right behind you as the facial recognition does not work. Second, the RAM is not upgradable. Fortunately, the SSD is, though there is only one stot without a heat sink. I now only drink tea while using my laptop. I am told that tea may also damage my laptop if spilled but I don't believe the people telling me that. I will update this post and to let all of you know if it is true or not in case I were to spill tea on this laptop. I bought the laptop for $596 toward the end of July 2024. I don't know why it said fair condition, I got it in perfect condition as if it were brand new.

Great travel laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this Zenbook mostly for travel. Fantastic size and weight, power brick is small. Screen is crisp and bright. Trackpad is as good as a Windows machine's going to get, a shadow of Mac trackpad usability. The overall performance is good but not quite the leap I expected compared to my 8-year old Core I7 machine. Mostly meets my expectations, especially for travel. Photos show size comparison of laptop and charger with Dell XPS 14 (9550), my previous travel laptop.

Worthy of a Next-Gen Title
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's much lighter that the Q420 variant that I used to daily. Battery life is just superior than the i9 or i7 series with the ultra series. I am disappointed that on system idle half of the RAM is already utilized.

Portable, high-quality, beautiful laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Verdict: I have been more and more impressed with Asus computers… Both their gaming laptops and productivity laptops are impressive. The new Asus Zenbook 14 laptop is no exception. It is compact but capable, notably with an intel Core Ultra i7, 16gb or RAM, and a 1TB SSD drive. The OLED screen is beautiful, and matches the quality, feel, and sleek design of the laptop. First impressions. This laptop looks great; I love the dark grey color. It’s thin and portable. The full HD OLED screen is also very thin with virtually no bezel, and it’s actually a touchscreen! It has a webcam with a privacy shutter (thank you!). The keyboard has lighted keys that feel comfortable and type quietly. At this size, the keyboard does not offer a dedicated numeric keypad, which is normal. The trackpad is very generous and works well. Setup was similar to other Windows laptops. Performance. I am quite pleased with this laptop… it brings a lot of things together very nicely. If you are not a heavy gamer, I think this offers compelling specs for a solid laptop for home, work, and travel. The intel processor is fast and tuned to better support AI functions. The screen is beautiful for work and media; full HD and 60hz refresh is plenty for a wonderful experience. Storage is fast and ample. And RAM makes multitasking easy for multiple programs, endless browser tabs, and streaming, all done simultaneously. At only 3lbs, it makes a wonderful travel companion. At 14 inches, it packs easily into a backpack, and "military spec" means that it will last a long time. The speakers sound good, and the webcam is HD quality with interesting additional features. Things I love. - Weighs less than 3lbs; it’s thin, small, and highly portable - Advertised to have 15 hours of battery life, so you can take on the road for all day battery - Windows 11, including copilot! - intel Core Ultra i7 with an integrated AI engine - Great multitasking with 16GB of RAM - 1TB SSD drive for fast boot up and plenty of space - Built-in HD webcam with a privacy shutter and built in microphone - Thin OLED screen (60hz refresh rate) with almost no bezel - Quality speakers and sound - Runs very quietly; virtually no fan noise - Comfortable and quiet keyboard with a large trackpad - Meets MIL-STD 810H military standards for reliability in the harshest conditions - Beautiful screen saver and new Asus logo Things I don’t love. - Only two USB-C ports (one used for power most of the time), one USB-A port, and one HDMI - No dedicated graphics card to support graphic intensive work or gaming, but the integrated card will support most light to medium requirements - The plug adapter gets noticeably hot Overall, this is a wonderful laptop that will meet most people’s professional and personal needs, minus for heavy gamers. Best of all, it is adequate for work, home use, and especially travel. The new Asus Zenbook 14 delivers quality. I highly recommend this laptop.

Elegant Display with Superior Battery Life
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OVERALL ASSESSMENT: After both my wife and I used this ASUS Q425M for 5-days, we are both blown away by this laptop, and totally in awe at how much technology can be contained in a less than 3-pound device. The 14” touch-screen OLED display performed flawlessly paired up with the new 13th generation Intel Ultra-7 EVO CPU with Intel ARC graphics. Although I prefer 32GB of system memory (RAM), the stock 16GB ran our daily tasks just fine without any resource issues. The 1TB of SSD (PCIe 4.0) is another nice touch and can be upgraded/replaced if you require additional storage capabilities. But the "pièce de résistance", is the 75 Watt-Hour battery, that ASUS states will last up to 15 hours, and I’m intended to believe that claim. DISPLAY: Personally, I was never really a fan of touch-screens, I thought most performed poorly, therefore I have always gravitated to a wireless mouse or using the stock track/touch pad. But after using this OLED 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA – 60Hz) touch display, I quickly bonded with the simplicity of use. The up to 500nits (HDR on, 400 HDR off) of display brightness is great for indoor use. And my default setup is HDR off, with brightness set around 70%, and that is more than sufficient for a bright viewing experience. KEYBOARD: Solid keys that do not feel mushy or cheap, have decent tactile feedback, and are back-lit (3 intensity levels plus off). No numeric pad, and I can live without one, that keeps the over laptop footprint small and portable while still having decent sized keys. But it would have been nice if ASUS included their “ASUS NumberPad 2.0" technology embedded into their large touchpad. And I am somewhat surprised that it wasn’t included at this $1k price range. CPU: The “Meteor Lake” AI Enhanced Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 Processor is one snappy CPU that is sufficiently fast enough for most all daily computing tasks. Boots up very quickly and awakes from sleep even faster. No doubt this CPU’s efficiency is a component in the overall extended battery life. No dedicated GPU, so high performance gaming enthusiasts should look elsewhere. MEMORY: 16 Gigabytes of LPDDR5x ram. I get it, these new memory chips are required to be soldered on the motherboard for their higher speed ratings and are not stick/module replacement upgradable. Therefore, if one is looking for, or requires 32GB or more ram, you’ll also need to look elsewhere. BATTERY: I’m still shaking my head in amazement over how long this battery will provide power in this 3-pound laptop. Now I have this setup for non-HDR use, keyboard backlight set to 33%, Display set to 70%, Power Mode = Best Power Efficiency, Battery Saver = Always, with Screen and Sleep set to Windows 11 default of 3 minutes to turn the screen off and sleep for both battery and plugged in. With those settings, Windows show 13-hrs 59-minutes of battery life remaining at 76% after some internet surfing (see picture). Not too shabby at all, and the best battery life I have ever experienced with using numerous laptops over the past 15 years. PORTS: Ok, I will acknowledge there are limited ports here, primarily due to space constraints. Only two USB-C’s (Thunderbolt 4), one USB-A, an HDMI 2.1 output, plus a headphone out jack. Note that one of the USB-C ports is used for charging with the supplied 65-watt charger. That being said, for daily use, the ports are appropriate. If there was one additional port, I could ask for ASUS to squeeze in, it would be a micro-SD card reader. But I can get by without it by using an adapter with the USB-A port. CAMERA: I normally do not see a need to mention a laptop camera during reviews. But because this is an FHD and IR camera, it will support Windows Facial Recognition for logging into your account. Sweet indeed! RATING: The ASUS Q425M 14” QLED Touch laptop earned a solid 5-Stars for its light weight, bold and bright display, fast CPU, and let’s not forget it’s extended battery life capabilities. And if you can catch it on sale, then add another Star… .

Asus Zenbook 14 OLED 14in WUXGA Touch Laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is really a 14in powerhouse. Asus Zenbook is light, easy to hold and carry at 2.82lbs! Funny thing is, with this being a touch screen, I am very surprised that at this price point it is not also a 2in1. While the reality is, I have never been a frequent user of my other 2in1 laptops, it’s just a great feature, especially when traveling. Overall, it was not really a negative factor in my review of it. At 16GB of Ram and a 1TB SSD, you have all the power you need for most any activity. This is only an average gaming laptop but to be honest, if you’re in the market for that, you will go with other options anyway. For multi-tasking normal work efforts (multiple MS Office apps and instances open) this is more than powerful enough to accommodate those multi-tasking options. I had over 3 each, MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word, all open at the same time with no issues and memory to spare. While the ports are a bit light on this laptop (2 x USB-C, 1 x USB-A 3.2 and an HDMI), they are still sufficient to work. Remember that this is a very light 14in box, it’s not going to come stocked port heavy. Maybe it’s because I am right-handed, but I prefer at least the USB-C’s on the left side, not the right side as they are here. The HDMI is also on the right which if you’re right-handed (at least for me), its slightly annoying but I am not complaining because I really do like this box. I have to say that I really love the display. It’s 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) is only listed as “Entry Level” on Best Buys’s Graphics rating but I must say, I am impressed. Color depth is impressive and significantly improved over a couple other of higher end laptops I have/had. Touch display is responsive and spot on. Lastly, I don’t have anything negative to say here, just a couple wishes that I would have hoped they would have included. I have become addicted to the fingerprint scanner on a laptop. This Zenbook doesn’t have it and that disappoints me. I can get over it with the quality front camera that supports facial recognition as well as the pin entry, but I love a quality fingerprint scanner. I just feel like it’s very secure and easy to manage, unless someone wants to cut off my fingertip to get into my laptop, only to discover boring spreadsheets, mindless word docs and web searches as risqué as “best Italy beach vacation destinations”. Overall, this is a great box, a few design changes could improve functionality (in my opinion), but if you’re a lefty, you may be fine with the port placements. OH, and I about forgot. One thing that literally blew me away is the battery and battery life. I charged the laptop upon receiving it. I then spent about 4 hours setting it up and doing a variety of tasks. I then got tied up with work stuff and let it sit in standby for about 3 days. I returned to it only to find that it had not lost ANY battery life! I used it for about another 2 days off and on, but then got wrapped back up in work. I returned AGAIN to find no battery loss. This laptop has a 4-Cell Lithium Ion Battery which so far seems amazing. Charging is quick as well! I would recommend this laptop to others; I do think that you need to completely understand all the features and compare accordingly because this price point is becoming very competitive. This laptop as a 1-year warranty which is great, I have seen less in the competition.

ZenBook for the win!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the ASUS ZenBook, and it has been an exceptional experience from the start. This laptop perfectly balances style, performance, and portability, making it an ideal choice for both professional and personal use. Design and Build Quality: The first thing that stands out is the sleek, ultra-thin design. The all-metal chassis feels premium and sturdy, giving it a sophisticated look. The lightweight design makes it easy to carry around, which is perfect for someone always on the go. Performance: Powered by the latest Intel Core processor, this laptop handles multitasking with ease. Whether I'm working on multiple spreadsheets, editing photos, or streaming videos, the ZenBook performs smoothly without any lag. The fast SSD ensures quick boot times and rapid file transfers. Display: The Full HD NanoEdge display is stunning. The colors are vibrant, and the brightness is more than adequate for both indoor and outdoor use. The thin bezels give it a modern look and provide an immersive viewing experience. Keyboard and Touchpad: The keyboard is comfortable and responsive, making typing a breeze. The backlit keys are a nice touch for working in low-light conditions. The touchpad is smooth and precise, and the integrated fingerprint sensor is a great addition for quick and secure login. Battery Life: The battery life is impressive, lasting through a full workday on a single charge. This is a crucial feature for me as I often work away from a power source. Connectivity: With various ports, including USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, and a microSD card reader, connectivity is never an issue. The latest Wi-Fi 6 ensures fast and reliable internet connections. Overall Experience: The ASUS ZenBook has exceeded my expectations in every way. It's a well-rounded laptop with exceptional performance, stunning visuals, and great portability. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, reliable laptop.

Excellent
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: • Slim and Lightweight: It’s incredibly thin and light (about 1.3kg), making it perfect for travel and working on the go. It easily slips into my backpack without adding bulk. • Build Quality: The all-metal chassis feels premium and durable. The design is sleek and modern, with a beautiful matte finish that resists fingerprints. • Display: The 14” Full HD display is crisp and bright with good color accuracy. Bezels are super thin, giving it a clean look. Some models even offer an OLED version, which looks stunning. • Performance: Powered by an Intel Core i5/i7 (or Ryzen 5/7 depending on model), it handles daily tasks, multitasking, and even some light photo editing with ease. No noticeable lag. • Battery Life: This is a standout feature—easily gets 10–12 hours of regular use on a single charge. Great for long workdays or travel. • Keyboard & Trackpad: Typing is comfortable with good key travel. The trackpad is responsive and includes the neat NumberPad feature (a virtual numpad built into the touchpad), which is a clever touch. • Ports: Unlike many other ultrabooks, the ZenBook 14 still includes a good variety of ports—USB-A, USB-C (with charging), HDMI, and a microSD slot. Cons: • Speakers: They’re decent but not mind-blowing. Gets the job done for Zoom calls and light music, but you’ll want headphones for anything immersive. Final Verdict: The ASUS 14 is an excellent choice for students, professionals, and anyone who needs a stylish, powerful, and portable laptop. It offers outstanding value for money, especially compared to pricier competitors like the Dell XPS 13 or MacBook Air. Highly recommended!

Good laptop for most but with some caveats
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED 14" Touch Laptop is, in many ways, a dream come true for this photographer. The OLED screen is clear and the colors are true. With a nit rating of 500, the screen is BRIGHT, which is very important when working with fine detail in photos, both new and old. I have plenty of space for photos and music with 1 TB of storage on board. The upgraded Intel Core Ultra 7 series 1 processor is a major upgrade from the I7 processors just a few years ago. But what really sold me was the weight. This laptop is so light! This really is a great laptop for creative types. That said, there are some flaws. For one, there's only one USB port and two USB-C ports. Considering the power cord plugs into one of the USB-C ports, functionally speaking, that leaves only 1 USB and 1 USB-C port for use. There is also no slot for a SD card. I shoot with a Canon DSLR camera and prefer to edit my photos on my laptop, meaning I would prefer a laptop with a built-in SD card reader. Would I recommend this laptop to a friend? Yes, I would for general use, but I would also have caveats. If you're a creative person who needs more connection points, I would go with a different laptop.

Wonderful 3 pounder, no cheese.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fast, vibrant colors, responsive, thin and light. This laptop offers good battery life, better than most I've owned so far. In fact, I like it so much that I bought 2 of them when they were on sale. I won't bore you with technical specs. Suffice it to say, that this laptop has more than enough power for the average user. It can even handle some computationally intensive tasks. So no hesitations, except if you're a big gamer. It's fun to use with a good responsive keyboard, fast response and, as mentioned, a great display. It even has a touch screen. I bought my last laptop without one because I didn't think I needed it. I immediately regretted not having it. This one does, and it makes navigation much easier. It has an IR camera and can do facial recognition. Its position is appropriately placed at the top of the display. So no meetings with people looking up my nostrils. Some complain that there aren't enough ports, but remember this is a laptop. It comes with a good selection including 2 USB C, an older USB 3 type port and HDMI ports as well as the expected headphone jack. Of these, the last is probably the least valuable since I, like most people, hook up to private listening wirelessly. I don't think that you can go wrong with this machine. It is a great under 3 pound ultralite with any cheese added.

Duper fast, clear sceen, plenty if storage, very light but solid feel. Battery is exceptional. All day long with multitasking. And getting it at a sale price makes it unbeatable(799). The only negative i would say is that the speakers are built in below the case so depending where the laptop is sitting, it affects the sound. Minor issue for me
