False product description. 8GB memory, not 16GB as listed

Would give it zero stars if I could. My son had it for 13 months and now it will not turn on.

As a college student, I believe this is a very good laptop for the price. I previously had an HP that was not the greatest quality, and its features were not the strongest. I think this is a great update-- it is very fast and has been very easy to use. I did download some Adobe apps, and that was the one and only time I heard the fan start, and it slowed down a little. Understandable, but it is back up to speed and performing very well. I have been using this laptop for about a month so far.

It’s already broken and it hasn’t been a year………..

The ASUS - Zenbook 14 inch OLED Laptop was quite a great, impressive machine. The colors on the display were amazing. The sound is tremendous and includes Dolby Atoms speakers. It comes with plenty of ports including a HDMI, USB, and 2 USB-C ports. The monitor has a fast refresh rate which means there is no lag when running multiple programs. Setup was a breeze. Includes the ability to log in with face id which is very handy. The camera has adaptive color sensor so it adapts settings automatically based on the lighting. Folks could hear me through the microphone very well on video chats. The adaptive mouse pad can bring up a number keyboard which is very cool. This makes entering data, such as grades, very easy. The touch screen display is very responsive and one of the best features of this laptop. It is not as light as far as weight as I would like but is not as bulky and heavy as laptops used to be just a few years ago. The battery did seem to last a pretty long time when only using one or two applications. The RAM was sufficient to run multiple programs at once. Charging from about 20% to 100% took less than an hour. I wasn't sure that a 14 inch laptop would work well for me but found that it is not much smaller practically than the 16 or 17 inch units that I am used to. The Zenbook would make a great addition and will be very useful for a student getting their class work done.

Asus thought of everything when designing and building this workhorse. The mil spec design and Gorilla glass display, give it a ruggedness that will take what your everyday use can dish out. The ergonomic design makes it lightweight, quiet and user friendly. A lighted keyboard, touch screen display, and a touchpad that can double as a numeric pad. After a quick setup, I couldn’t wait to see the OLED display magic. Watching a streaming movie was amazing. The screen quality and the Harman/Kardon speakers truly made it an immersive experience. When using the laptop for typical office applications, it was fast. Next, I tried a few games. They were all blazing quick considering it’s not a gaming system. Of course, you may have to adjust setting for resource demanding games. Its network performance is stellar. During all of the time using it on my lap, never once did it feel warm. For office work the camera and microphone really shines. The microphone easily handled background noise with its noise reduction and canceling capability. The backlit keyboard was perfect for use in dim lighting. Even the packing was thought out. The laptop pops up in the box when opened. The materials are minimal and easily recycled. In my experience, Asus has always been exceptional when handling any type of warranty concern. That is peace of mind for a purchase like this. I’d certainly recommend this laptop for anyone in an office setting, school or home use. For this buyer, it’s tough to beat the capability, innovation and price that this laptop provides.

After registering, screen kept going of and on until it finally decided not to power on

The ASUS Zenbook 14.5 inch 2.8K OLED laptop is a great example of making a high quality product without having to pay a crazy premium price. ASUS has done a great on in putting together high quality components that can easily rival laptops that cost much more. Beginning with the OLED screen ASUS has provided a high quality touch screen that gives you impeccable image quality that never shows any signs go light bleeding or stuttering. The Intel I5 with the EVO platform gives you great performance for your everyday work tasks without straining the laptop. The EVO platform provides great battery management that will easily get you through the day without any worry of having to plug in your laptop. One issue I did have with the laptop upon initial setup was that it failed to connect to my wifi network. After doing some troubleshooting I determined it to be a Windows 11 issue, so I connnected the laptop to my hub so I could use a ethernet connection in order that install the latest updates. Once updated I was easily able to connect to my wifi network with ease. The laptop is fairly light and thin which is great if you must travel with your laptop for work. The full sized HDMI is a plus since most laptops these days will use a mini hdmi port which requires you to use a usb hub or dongle. One thing that would have put this laptop over the edge is if ASUS decided to put 16gb of ram in rather than 8 gb however my basic tasks and work task never seemed to overburden the 8 gb of included ram. If you are looking for a great quality laptop which provides a great value for your money then you should consider this ASUS zen book as your next laptop

First look at the ASUS Zenbook tells me its a budget workhorse that will be decent all around. Out of the box, its build quality is extremely solid and it feels like premium craftsmanship. It's lightweight but heavy enough as to not feel cheap. The Display was the second thing I noticed. It looks crisp and crystal clear. Very vivid looking display with a great color range and deep blacks. It is also a touch screen which I don't personally use a ton but might be good for people that like to use a pen or for ease of browsing. The speakers by Harman Kardon sound pretty darn good for laptop speakers. Being an audiofile, I am quite picky about speakers myself. One of my favorite things about this PC is all the ports. It has one USB type A, two USB type C, and an HDMI port. This makes it quite useful. Oh, and it has a headphone jack! Sheesh. A card reader would have been great but I really can't complain for the price. It has a great battery life which is nice for people on the go and it is a very quiet unit with no real noticeable fan noise. Some people have complained that the included touch number pad is hard to use. I really don't find it difficult to use at all. It is very responsive and easy to turn on and off. My only Negative note about the ASUS Zenbook is it did slightly lag on me while I was trying to install some software. So might not handle multi-tasking that well but nothing terrible. Also, I was a little bit bummed that there weren't many form fitting hard cases or protective skins for it. But that ultimately is not the laptop's fault, just something to consider if that is important to you. Overall this thing is a solid buy with great bang for your buck. Could easily recommend it to anyone that needs something to fill multiple roles and doesn't want to break the bank.

Best but store cheated me and they don’t send me my laptop

Very happy with this purchase! It is well built and easy to navigate. Boots up fast and runs very smoothly.

Has nice features that make the laptop worth it, nice sound, although mostly will be using a headset, handles programs well specially when plugged in for better battery life, nice sharp colors in screen.

Excellent laptop. Love the keys lighting up, the touch screen, speed to fire up and battery life. For $500 it was a great deal. Nice screen resolution also.

Have been using for a variety of work purposes. Does great at all general work related tasks. Fell short with the 8GB of RAM on graphic design but I was able to easily add a second Ram stick and upgrade to 12GB RAM.

This is a nice laptop, but the 16GB model with 500GB is a much better value. Get this if it's at least $200 cheaper than the other. I think the value difference is more like $300. A good deal on the 16GB is a solid budget purchase. Presently the 16GB is $799 and that's the best budget option on the PC side. I still think even an M1 MacBook Air is better for most people.

Pros: display, fast, thin profile Cons: speaker's face downward making it sound like a mono speaker. And on average battery last 6 hours before charge.

Excellent performance and quality. The price is unbeatable.
