I need it for basic tasks, like watching a DVD movie or just adding old programs (CDs) to my computer. The Asus ZenDrive works as it should be. I tried to install the Asus ZenDrive software but my device doesn't accept it. I have no idea if I'm losing something because I can't install it, but so far, I bought it for the simple tasks I mentioned above and works great. I'm very happy with this purchase. Actually this is the second AsusDrive I buy from Best Buy. The another one is used very often as well. Buying online and in person at the store have been both very good experiences. I recommend the AsusDrive device and Best Buy store.

Plays and burns CD's and DVD's with equal aplomb. Great for my needs to burn an occasional CD or DVD from my files. It's also much quieter than the unit I replaced. It was plug and play with my laptop. At $32.99, it was well worth the investment. It got great reviews and I agree with them.

I had a different one but exchanged it for this one. I'm on Windows 11 and it works great. No special software required. Totally approve,it works with my ancient stuff. Buy it.

Works woth Windows 11! This device works on an extended link, is a welcome addition to the configuration.

Does what I needed - replaced an older USB drive that no longer ripped music CD's accurately. Reasonably priced. I haven't tested anything more than basic CD ripping but pleased with the unit.

So far, this Asus external CD/R/RW & DVD/R/RW works well & quickly. My husband & I have only used it a couple of times tho.

Works fine, this is old tech and should work fine. Got some extraneous SW with it, that I assume is standard marketing revenue for ASUS. Some of it puzzling.

Works OK, but annoying getting the tray to close - wants to hang up on the lower edge.

I can finally watch my DVDs. Great purchase. Great price.

this drive works as advertised, It dose the job. However it does appear fragile.

Decent value. It's an alright purchase if you have the need for a CD or DVD use.

Work’s outstandingly well. Simplicity is something that always works best for me and this drive keeps the KISS Factor in mind.

Worked for a day and then the eject button stopped working and the drive stopped reading the discs. Feels flimsy and cheap. Surprised since it was rated highly on Wirecutter dot com.
