    my grandpa is old and can't really see or hear very well. this phone tells him loudly who is calling, and has a large and bright display to show him as well.

    I needed a new land line (yup still use one) and this was not expensive at all and does the job. Plus has caller ID feature which my "cutsy" phones didn't have.

    Hard to find a corded phone. Most are for older people and have big buttons & emergency call buttons. I didn't want one that had emergency button because I thought I might hit one by accident in the middle of the night and have the police at my house. Happy to find a pretty normal corded phone

    This landline phone serves a purpose for emergencies. With that, it is great. Great sound quality. However, the display and the speaker phone require batteries. Very annoying and was not presented on the original product page.
