I am an electronics tech and had no problems installing the unit myself on my van. The picture quality is fine as per any NTSC / PAL 1/4 inch CMOS camera. Wide angle lens with guide lines added to picture is perfect size. This is probably as close to OEM as you can get as far as being in a hidden spot in the rear license alcove and for being water resistant and durable. I have heard stories of car washes destroying other types of mounts but feel fairly confident with this. The threads MUST mount upward into a horizontal surface for correct picture orientation. Many folks will probably benefit from the $130.00 Geek Squad charges for installing as drilling a hole in your vehicle body is required as well as routing the 20+ foot RCA video cable to the rear of the head unit and powering via backup lights. Five stars overall from me.

Easy install, even comes with drill bite/drill saw. Cable more than long enough for easy install. Transmit great picture to LCD screen.

I've been wanting a backup camera for my van for awhile now. It works exactly like I hoped it would. It's not very noticeable and I really think that this is a great deal.

The camera was upside in its housing, had to order another one. Make sure the camera is right-side up before installing.

Works great. Picture in pitch black is grainy, but you can still see.

The instructions and online info are lacking about how to install this. I wanted to mount it in my tailgate for help when backing up to a trailer. If mounted this way, the picture is up side down, and cannot be reversed. It must be installed with the threaded mount going vertical.

I love it. The clarity is great and works great with my system.

This was my third an final camera. The others did not give as good a view and weren't as clear.

Works great...easy installation! Use it everyday when parking!
