These are not too heavy and strong enough to see through at night. I am part of a neighborhood watch and can see license plates of vehicles that "don't belong" in the neighborhood. I may use them for sporting events as well. They came in a nice padded case with endcaps over the eye and view pieces. Price was great as well.
Only complaint, the warranty info enclosed in the box did not have a correct website listed or vendor address. I tried to register my purchase via first class mail, it was returned a few days later. No forwarding address. Then I tried online registration and kept getting errors using the url that was supplied with the purchase. I did finally locate the correct website and registered. This information should have been updated within the product enclosures. A few extra steps on my behalf that I found frustrating as the consumer.
I would recommend this to a friend

The binoculars were used by my 11 year old for viewing from the deer blind (approx. 60 - 120 yards in distance). The binoculars have served their purpose as a secondary set of binoculars for my son to use (I am using much better pair as our primary binoculars). If you want higher powered or better focus, you may want to look for a higher end brand.
