I love 2K and haven't disliked a game put out by them yet, but I feel a bit cheated by this game. I spent $60, and while it may eventually be worth that much, it isn't yet. The campaign is insanely fun, but painfully short. Which makes sense since it's designed to be MP game. However, the MP maps and characters are really weak. 4v5's constantly happen and games take 20 minutes + the game also just feels.... unfinished. I feel like I'm playing more of a BETA than a full game. I have put 1000+ hours in LoL, Smite, Paragon, etc. and while this does a good job trying to blend genres, it isn't nearly as elaborate as those or as simple as Overwatch or Paladins. Overall, it stuck itself in a weird middle zone and just makes the game feel awkward.

Fun multiplayer and lots of challenge to gain level ups. The single player camping seems a bit more difficult and will probably require better item upgrades to get though. Still makes it fun. Huge glitch when you end game and shutdown xbox, it causes a crash when you try and reload the game without quitting it first; big time failure on the programmers as it is very annoying and causes the console to crash.

If you like League of Legends and FPS, this is a must have. Campaign allows for up to five players to battle through the stages with advanced and hardcore settings for the daring. Then there is multiplayer for the competitive types that include PvP and PvE game variants. 25 characters came with the game and later DLC allows for more character's to unlock later on. Worth every penny

I'll admit, Battleborn has many things going for it. The characters, the progression system, the online play. All very well done and enjoyable. Unfortunately, it got over shadowed by a bigger and even better game that came out soon after: Overwatch. Just released it at a bad time, mate.

Great idea, but the execution keeps trying to ruin the game.
Characters are cool and varied, lots of options for different play-styles. Gameplay is fun and it is great learning each character. And here is where the 'but' starts.
The game has local co-op and I believe all modes can be played with bots. This experience is good, but you still have to be online and connected to Battleborn's servers. Playing with bots is relatively easy, but can be a lot of fun. The online game modes are competitive and story mode. Each story mode mission is 30-45 min long and is the most consistent part of the experience. Moving to competitive play and things start to get troubling.
The biggest problems with Battleborn are that matchmaking takes a LONG time. I typically wait over 5 min for a full 9 players to be found to play with, and then choosing the map and character takes a minimum of 2 minutes as well. That is way too long to be sitting and waiting, not playing. Comparing it to Halo 5, you're into a new game under 2 min. The second problem with competitive play is the lack of being able to find balanced matches. Most matches are very lopsided. You can go from 12-4 K:D in one game to 2:10 in the next. This leaves it feeling too easy, and unsatisfying, or too difficult, and unsatisfying. I understand the nature of the game is to find friends that you can work with in a strategy to win, but being an adult and having 4 other friends who are consistently available to play is hard.
Overall, I keep coming back to it every few weeks to see if there is new content. The Battleborn team seems great with providing updates and trying to balance characters. In the end, I'm sorry that I paid out for the season pass, as I have to keep playing and waiting to make sure I got my money's worth.

In my opinion, Battleborn definitely delivers with the multiplayer experience. It offers plenty of strategy and in-match customization. The campaign is decent, but leaves a little to be desired. Although the humor and overall game play is very well done in the campaign, it is very difficult for a solo player to get through some of the missions.

I picked this up for a very cheap price (especially with the gamers club unlocked discount) and it is worth it for me. I have a friend who also owns the game and we are playing through the story mode. I haven't tried the multiplayer, but from what I hear the player counts are extremely low (Overwatch's fault and for good reason). However if you appreciate the quirky characters and Gearbox's gameplay you will like the game. Recommended for campaign only, especially if you have someone to play with.

Couch Co-Op Rules All

That's right 5 stars and it's because in this day and age, we have accepted not being able to play with people in couch co-op. We that grew up in the early 1990's know that almost every cool game was 1-2 player. The times have shifted, but this game res urges old feelings of both unity and function. My girlfriend and I play online all the time and we both level up at the same time. The only thing that I had an issue with was unlocking the first few playable characters after the prologue for my girlfriend. This is only a minor gripe as there is a lot of things to unlock like new characters, abilities, and appearances. In order to fully appreciate this title, one would need to have a person to play with at home against the minions that you'll have to overcome. Boss battles are amazing and gameplay is rewarding. A must have!

This is a fun game! LOTS of characters to play as and a bunch of ways to personalize. The animation is very well done and uses several different styles. If you've played any of the Borderlands games, this game continues with the same sense of humor. I have not played Overwatch, but this seems to be fairly similar- not sure how they compare. I have not come close to completing this game, but have enjoyed it very much so far.

I bought this game when it was on sale for $10. For the price, I was pleased with the quality of the game. The campaign is short and there are no save points in each mission which stinks because you have to play each mission all the way through or start things over if you don't have enough time to complete it. There were more character options than I thought there would be which was both fun and nice.

The game is fun but its not much to offer and becomes a bit repetitive fast. The amount of characters is great and mix the game up some but with short single player and limited multiplayer modes is whats brings the game down.

Battle Born is a good time, for the right kind of players. It has an engaging story line and a great competitive online multiplayer. The only thing to watch out for is the lack of content, producing a relatively repetitive experience and it is without a doubt not a traditional shooter for all you shooter fans out there, and should be played as a moba.

Fun multiplayer game that unfortunately suffered poor sales as a result of overwatch. Really diverse cast of characters with an interesting on the fly upgrade system. I added an extra star simply for the fact you can play splitscreen and online at the same time (combo co-op).

BattleBorn for me was a shooter that kind of flew under the radar. It's sort of like The Borderlands games but with cooler weapons. It's even got couch co-op! So grab a buddy and get to it. I caught this on clearance and couldn't be happier! It's worth your time guys.

Battleborn is a MOBA - its not as easy to pick up and play as say a Call of Duty or something of that nature. There's a ton of different cool characters, but both the short campaign and the multiplayer feel like something's missing. If you're fortunate to play w/ friend or even people w/ mic's its a somewhat better experience. The game has good humor, but what's good gets stale quick. Still there's 25 characters to try, so you're likely to drop some hours before you're done.

I got this game for my son. I must have not read everything but it only works with Xbox live. They don't have a story mode and my son does not have xbox live. Looks like a great game and nothing wrong with it. Haven't had the chance to try it out yet.
