Fits nicely and protects iPad, but did crack in corner...

The snap shield does a very good job of protecting the back of the iPad during normal use. I have no fear of putting my iPad down on any surface or even sliding it around table/desk/countertop as needed. It is not much bigger than iPad itself and does not add bulk. It also does allow access to all buttons and connector port. One thing it doesn't do is allow iPad to remain at any angle. There is no rubber of friction pad to accomplish this. iPad just slides down as a result. I don't intend to find out if this product is drop-resistant or not, but I am happy with the protection it does provide.

The case is simple and lightweight. Easy to install and clean but doesn't stand up well to travel. The sides that clip on to the iPad have a tendency to crack easily. This is the second case I've tried that has had this problem which is unfortunate because it looks solid and is so thin. I'd recommend it if you don't travel with your iPad much or as a basic cover for an iPad at home. Not recommended for airline or commuting travel.

looking for something to provide some minimal protection for my ipad. Does the trick just fine, would recommend for rough-users or for kids ipads.

Without this the Smart Cover is really not worth having. This protects the back and makes it easy to grip.

This is a nice shield protector for the back of the new iPad 4th generation if you want to use Apple's Smart Cover and no other case. This does not interfere with the Smart Cover working and protects the back of the iPad from getting scratched. Perfect for protection for incidental damage to iPad.

Like having the extra protection on the back of the iPad. Makes it more sturdy to hold. Unfortunately, its my third one in less than 3 years. They aren't made to last. First one was the best one, but very very stained. The second one cracked on the corners in less than a month. Third one made a little different, doesn't fit as snug as the first one and already stained after about a month. It's a bit overpriced at $30 but only company that makes them, I think. Hope that they come up with something different, although may be upgrading the iPad Air soon. Probably would not recommend but I still like having the added protection so I kept buying. However, this is my last one. It's a shame they can't get it right, especially for what they charge.

The cover offers great protection. My husband has dropped his iPad a couple of times and it came out without a scratch. Fits well. I like the clear over so I can see the back of my iPad. Decently priced.

I'm realistic in my review in that this product is very good at what it does, and Belkin knows it. The price is a bit steep but when considering the resale cost of my iPad will be directly affected by nicks, dings, and scratches on the back just as much as on the screen - this product should pay for itself when I go to sell it. It doesn't get in the way, even when the Apple Smart Cover (sold separately) is folded behind the tablet. It also doesn't add weight or bulk to the device. I can easily remove it - and do so regularly - to clean dust out from between the iPad and the case. There are cutouts that allow unfettered access to the ports and speaker. These are rather large - larger than need to be - so protection is less than perfect. I would be nervous shoving this into a backpack without checking first.

This is my second shell. The first was retired after protecting my iPad successfully several times. I really like that it is clear so I can still see the special engraving on the back.

I chose the clear cover. Most of the time I don't even realize I have a cover on the back of the iPad, but it does the job and keeps the brushed metal looking good.

Protects, soft, flexible and not bulky. Now my iPad fits in my purse much better and can go more places with me.

Never bought a bad Belkin product. Sturdy products. Well made, fit beautifully. Manufactured to last. Only bought this one as a backup for the one that is on my iPad (in case it fractures?). Don't really expect it to. It's been on it for 2 + years already and still looks new.

Bought one for my first iPad, only replaced it when the corner chipped off and it looked really worn and yellowed!

I wanted something to protect the back of my I-Pad. This product did a great job of keeping my I-Pad scratch free and protecting the edges from dents and scrapes. This was a replacement for the original cover that lasted about 2 years. Through normal wear and tear the corners cracked or chipped and cover needed to be replaced. I chose the same product because it gave me good service.

I have used these before and have chosen to have extras for the future, works well with my Apple cover.

Works well but seems costly for what it is... A price of molded plastic.

It's a great case for the price we paid for it. Was a birthday present and it worked out well with the decals we made for the IPad

I waited way to long to get this cover for the back of my iPad. I have 2 kids who use it and now i no longer have to worry about it getting scratched or worry about where they set it down. I like that you can see through it so it still looks like an iPad. Highly recommend this!

I liked the clear back cover for my iPad as I feel it doesn't show scratches and such as a "color" or opaque cover would. This is my second cover; I decided to spring for a new one after 2 yrs., just for a fresh, clean look :-) It's protected my iPad very nicely from falls, dampness, and the kids in my class. I'd definitely recommend it.
