The Insignia one on this site does not, it's also half the cost. Other than price there's nothing to tell them apart... But the higher price point shows here in quality. I've tried multiple adapters, Samsung, Insignia, Anker... But -only- with Belkin did my phone recognize my HORI Fightpad and my MadCatz TE stick. Worth the investment to ease frustrating purchases. The USB-C world is still a little renegade, and it's hard to trust manufacturers these days to cover all the bases, even niche ones like mine. Belkin came through this time. Good work.

I am using it to connect my USB-A devices to my MacBook Pro 2018. I have use it with my external hard drives, USB drives, and other "legacy" devices. So far, my MacBook has recognize and read everything I connected. NOTE: First connect your USB device to the adapter and THEN connect the USB-C end to your Mac. I notice that,at least that happen to me, for some reason, if you connect the adaptor to the machine first and the USB device, my mac does not "see" the device.
