I've reviewed lots of cameras over the past few years and somehow this is my first "BLINK" camera. The BLINK Outdoor 4 is an anywhere you want everywhere you need it kind of camera. By that, I mean you can pretty much place or hang it just about anywhere in or around your home or office with relative ease. Getting crisp pictures with the 1080 HD lens, with a night vision option to boot. The record time is a minimum of 5 seconds and up to 60 seconds. There's a cool down period between recordings. So, unfortunately, you may miss some vital footage upon playback. The speaker gives of clean and clear volume as long as you're not hawking your microphone from your device. There is a slight delay between speech sound from the speaker, but over-all the latency isn't too bad. I've definitely encountered worse on other camera systems. The housing of the camera is made of plastic, and this can mean that any slight nudge or heavy breeze can make it shift. So, I recommend that you consider that when you're deciding on where you'll want to place it. Mind you, you can use this camera anywhere that reaches your WiFi. With that in mind, I've decided on placing mine in my hallway. (Can we really trust maintenance?) The camera is powered by two Lithium-ion batteries that are said to be able to last up to two years. However, that does depend on the amount of traffic in front of that camera. So, it could last a couple weeks or a couple months before you'll need to recharge. Downloading the app and signing up for one of their quite affordable plans can garner you whole slew of other features. Or you can just use a thumb drive for storage. It is safe from the elements, as long as the type C cover is on. But again, I can't stress enough, that you'll want to make sure that it's in a secure location. If you need more recording time, I recommend picking up some other camera. But if you're looking convenience and an easy set-up. This should do you just fine.

Pros: easy to setup, relatively cheap, well built wireless security camera that can be linked with multiple other cameras, relatively cheap subscription for the first year, intuitive app, very quick install, can be linked with your Amazon account. Images are clear and videos as well, in the dark you can increase the infrared sensor strength to get better photos. Cons: Doesn't work with Google home, and its not mentioned clearly on the product description, the sync module doesn't have a SD card slot, if you want one you need to upgrade it and buy one that does. if you want to add multiple cameras the plan is $100/ year or you have to upgrade your sync module with one that supports SD cards. why not include one like that from the start? I installed it inside my garage as a secondary protection step against burglary, it took 1 minute to mount the bracket and 10 seconds to snap the camera in place. it was easy setup. I chose not to link the blink app to my Amazon account as I see no reason to do so. overall, its a good wireless camera but I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it didn't work with Google home.

Bought the camera as a beginning effort to watch my front porch while on a vacation trip. This was pretty simple to problem use on my cell phone. A few instructions are a little vague but after a couple of attempts finally worked. Photo quality is very good and the blink app lets you see the images real time. I am going to buy two more

I was so surprised at how great this camera is. I purchased the Ring doorbell and was not as impressed, but haven't heard much kf this brand and love this so much more. I have it outside and the picture and sound is amazing and the notification is the most important and passes that as well. Im so critical due to have CPI whole home system prior to a divorce so had to get something quick and I'm so glad I got this.

I like this camera. I was looking for a camera that is easy to install and setup and has a good app for my phone. This unit fits all those criteria. Recomended.

the cameras are good quality for the money . They have a good picture and good sound . I recommend getting to know the the sensitivity setting before hand , the whole thing is pretty user friendly and easy set up. over all they are worth trying out

I know it’s a budget outdoor cam, but it does evening I was looking for, it alerts me and records clips if someone, something, or a car passes by so it does what it says. Just wanted some type of camera outside and this is great. For the price the quality is awesome.

The blink camera has amazing clarity, so easy to set up and use, audio quality is great also, it records and keeps video up to 60days which you can change, you can also change how long each clip will last and it also takes a still image every hour I’m using it to be able to ck in on my mom in the nursing home anytime I feel I need to, day or night, even though I’m there to visit daily, I can see and hear what’s going on with her care, it really helps to settle any insecurities I may have and I can see and hear exactly how she’s being treated and talked to, I feel better knowing what’s going on

Nice addition to my Blink camera group. Works well with the Sync module that came with my series 3 cameras and since that has local storage (I also have a cloud subscription) I am using that with this camera so cant speak to the core module that came with this camera. Its nice to have an additional module, if I decide to move this camera further away from the house the module can be located facilitate that. Got this from BB during Prime days so the camera and core module were cheaper than the camera alone so feel like it was a good price. If I didnt have a Sync module already I would recommend getting the upgrade from the core.

This is an excellent product. So far battery operation is great but we'll see how it works through the winter. It works great for what I wanted it for... camera coverage, notification of activity at the door, etc. If the battery works through the winter, I'll be happy. Otherwise I might swap it out for the wired version. It was super easy to set up.

New user. The picture quality is inproved from previous models!

For the price it was 10 of 10 and I had the older model but these news one are more better and excellent and now the upload the videos way quickly and they tell you if it a vehicle or a person

So far so good. But it remind me of battery overuse. I don't think so because I took the initial defaults and did not customerize it.

Easily connected to my current hub… motion detection is great as well as viewing through the app. I definitely recommend for those blind spots outside of your home.

Bought this to use just the camera with existing system, was easy to program following directions with system and worked as I wanted it to.
