My gripe is that on several occasions now the soap door has not opened during the wash. on some of these times i may put too much powder in and jammed it - another point of frustration is its hard to fix once the powder gets in the door tracks. On some occasions I've been certain that the powder was at the right level, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Very annoying to have to rerun it or track down what was in there the last time to get it rewashed. Also, I installed it myself. Not sure why Bestbuy insists on selling you the install kit, everything I needed came with the dishwasher.

However, the trays, the bottom one in particular, are very hard to load. The spacing of the separators is too close together. In addition, the trays are two inches shorter and one inch narrower than the trays in the machine it replaced.

I tried running it many times, putting vinegar inside the unit, as I didn’t know at the time that the smell was coming from the insulation. When I would go to open the door after the cycle had completed, the stench of tar was truly unbearable. Best Buy made the return easy and I exchanged it for an LG model LDTH7972S. The LG arrived today and after running it, there is no asphalt odor whatsoever! Love it!

If it wasn't for the red light, it would be very hard to know it was even running. The dishes and utensils all come out very clean (even dried on egg yolks). The top utensil draw is so much better than the basket. That was a very welcomed addition. The interior is very roomy and holds a lot of dishes. The cups are at a nice angle to help with the water that sometimes remains on the bottoms. I also really like the ability to raise and lower the upper racks. There is nothing to complain about. I highly recommend this machine. This Bosch dishwasher is replacing another Bosch that was purchased some time after 2008. (that one was replaced because the plastic control panel kept cracking).
