Customers consistently note the excellent noise cancellation and comfortable fit of the QuietComfort® 20i Headphones (iOS). Worth The Money

These Bose's are a great option for PC or phone for work and play. The bass is brilliant, not over powering, deep and clear but only in sound cancelling mode. Pretty shallow without sound canceling. Highs are solid and clean. Do not work well in noise cancelling mode in a topless wrangler with the wind pressure and noise - they end up making a "pop" sound. No background hiss at zero volume in the quiet of a room. Can hear people talk when I turn the noise cancelling off. The volume and mute buttons work great with my Galaxies Note 8 and S10+ and works with a needed dongle for the Tab6 usb C port or i phone. Also good sound on the receiver's end I'm told on phone calls. The clip keeps the wires in while I work and takes the pressure off of the earpiece. Good Dbs for my slightly impaired hearing. The battery lasts several days. I'll throw it in the charger every few evenings. They do charge and work in noise cancelling at the same time though you might hear a hum if charging off a computer. The rubbery wire and 90 degree end work well bent along my phone and in the pocket. The shell also is hard and seems pretty durable. And ear-wise, they fit it in great without feeling like they will fall out and don't feel like a tight plug either; and I now have no discomfort after 10 hours but ready to take them out by then. It's hard to go back to my my JBL over-the-ears or Galaxy Buds+ for both sound and comfort and function.

I bought these to take the place of a set of Bose, over-the-ear, noise canceling headphones. I travel frequently and enjoy the quietness that this type of headphones provide. These, in-the-ear headphones, are lighter and take up less space in my bag than the other pair. They do just as good of a job at reducing the noise and fit comfortably for long (8+ hour) flights and the sound quality is excellent. I noticed that some people have mentioned that the battery life didn't last as long as they expected and that there was a hum, but I did not experience any trouble with either of those issues. I'm very happy with them and recommend them to others.

Call it overkill. My wife did… I got the Bose QuietComfort 20 Headphones (Android) to use with my Xbox. Over the years, I’ve used wired and wireless headsets from Astro, Turtle Beach and HyperX. They were all the standard over-ear cans. I got tired of the headset-head (you know that ear-to-ear dent in the hair) and blazing hot ears after gaming for any length of time while wearing an over-the-ear headset. I’ve read that the Apple version of these headphones doesn’t work with in-game voice chat and that the headphone jack pinout is different for Apple vs. Android, so I was sure to get the Android-spec product. They plug right into the controller and just work. Getting to the point, the Bose QuietComfort 20 are very comfortable and sound great. The (excellent) noise cancelling can be turned on and off with an inline switch, but it’s been my observation that, in addition to reducing outside sound intrusion, it also boosts in-game sound. Everything just sounds better. I mostly play multiplayer shooters, and I really appreciate the directionality and perceived sense of distance to a sound (i.e., how far away was that footstep/gunshot). I’ve tried both the Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos surround sound options offered on Xbox and prefer Dolby’s effect. I’m told that the mic sounds fine. Bose StayHear headphone tips: I’m keeping these because they are easily the most comfortable in-ear headphones I’ve used. Seriously, they’re all-day comfortable. I have some wired earbuds from JVC and Sony and gave them a try. While they sounded okay, the snug in-ear canal design of the silicone tips became uncomfortable. The Bose StayHear tips are made from a super soft silicone and have a cone shape that rests comfortably against the ear canal opening, as opposed to in it, and does a good job of passive noise reduction which only improves when noise cancelling is turned on. The active noise cancelling is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It charges in about an hour via USB and lasts for hours of use. It can be used while charging. To preserve battery life, the circuit can be turned off while not in use. I tried a couple of Bluetooth transmitters with my true wireless earbuds (Samsung and Bose), but it introduced an unacceptable audio lag, so wired it is. As a bonus, the QC20s also sound terrific with my phone whether in a call or listening to music.

Bought these due to the noise level at work, and also to work with my Galaxy phone as I need it. The reduction in noise is very noticeable for me in the office (cuts out people who don't use their inside voices on conference calls), and works well for music. Am going to test it further on a plane next biz trip. Very comfortable in ears (an issue for me with other ear buds) and controls are pretty simple to use. Pricey, but you're getting what you pay for with this product!

Purchased to replace a wireless set that skipped constantly. These are light weight, soft and comfortable. They provide respectable noise canceling abilities without the weight of over the ear devices. The music reproduction is awesome and clear. Best part, no echo if I fall asleep wearing these.

I never understood the sound of silence before I got these headphones. Yes they are spendy, but when you consider the off set of the cost of therapy, they aren't so bad. Seriously, the sound of silence is so therapeutic. If you need to unplug from the family, just put these babies in and drop kind of blue and you'll go to your happy place. sure you'll see their lips moving, but you won't hear a sound from them. And take these on an airplane an it actually makes travel tolerable. Yes the battery pack is a little wonky, but get over it, it isn't so bad. The comfort is amazing no fatigue for me for hours of wear which is not typical for me for an earbud. Now I just hope I never lose these.

Great Technology, wish they were more durable

I bought these head phones in 2016 and used them on and off over the years. The noise cancelling was phenomenal for first 3 years and so was the fit and form. Last year the cover to the noise cancelling control lost adhesion, then the insulation as the cord coming out of the plug failed and just now the adhesive holding the ear bud together just gave up. I loves the head phones and when I bought them in 2016 I paid 300dollars. For that much money i wish the adhesives would have held up. Still a good purchase and I will miss them!

Got these for my partner because he was tired of my loud videogames and they work great! The noise cancelling is surprisingly good for in-ear headphones! They're incredibly comfortable and the battery lasts a very long time. I'm incredibly pleased with my purchase.

I've tried many different noise-canceling earbuds and headphones, including the Bose over-ear ones. These are, by far, the best, most convenient, and most comfortable!. They do not cancel all noise... You will still be able to hear muffled voices and sounds if you are just using them for quiet and not playing music or watching a movie. The muffled sounds are not annoying, however. These are awesome for use during flights... Really block out crying babies, engine roar, and irritating fellow passengers. Now, if they will just stop the child behind me from kicking my seat.....

Works exactly as described. Don't waste your money on anything else! Beats who? Nothing compares, I can work at my computer with the QC on and can't hear my kids yelling in the next room over when they get excited. Will definitely use these for road trips, plane rides, or any time I want some quiet time. The sound, when playing music, movies, and game play is impeccable. They are so comfortable, you don't realize that you have ear buds in. Wear them for hours and I don't get headaches like I would from Beats. I will never buy anything else but these buds!

    Absolute Silence

You don't realize how much noise you are surrounded by until you try these. Absolute silence, I work in a office filled with white noise, circling air fans, and people on the phone all day. I've tried several noise cancelation headphones and was about to give up until I tried these. The white noise is gone, I can no longer hear the printer on the other side of my cube. The people talking are gone except for the very loud and noisy and they are nothing but a muffle. Music is crisp and as clean as any premium over the ear headset I've tried. The ear piece material is so soft that I can wear these all day without noticing them as I work. My only complaint is the Noise Canceling component that you switch on and off has a 1 1/2 inch cord to plug into your phone. This causes it to hang out of your caring belt case or pocket when on the move. The cord to the phone is so short there is simply no place to store it. The ear piece cord length to the phone is long enough to store your phone on your hip or on the table next to your chair but no further. Attaching a inline extension cable create a tremendous electrical noise regardless of the several cable extenders I've tried. In short the cable length is what it is and can not be extended.

Great sound when noise cancelling is on

I really enjoy the Bose QC20. They sound great when the noise canceling is on. The noise cancelling feature, is what I wanted for my commutes on the bus and walking through the city streets. Be forewarned that it will not completely cancel out (silence) all outside noises. It will muffle the sound considerably. For example, if someone is talking to you, you will barely hear them. The same for the loud city noises, like horn honking or sirens. You will hear them, but it will be very muffled. It is great that you can quickly turn off the noise cancelling with the push of the remote button, or switch off on the battery unit and still be able to listen to music. When turning off the noise cancelling with the remote, the headphones allows sound to pass through. But it will sound like the outside sounds come through a speaker, as opposed to the sounds naturally filtering through the earphone's silicone tip. But you quickly get used to it. Sound quality: when the noise cancelling is on, you can hear all of the music (high treble and low bass). You will hear the full sounds less when the noise cancelling is turn off (either from remote or switched on on battery pack).... unless you are listening to music in a quiet space. Battery life: I have not tested the limits of the battery life. In my 1.5 hr commute (each way, 3hr total), I will always charge them up once a day. Remote: I got the android/Samsung version. It works perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy S6. I'm so happy to have volume control. I have not tested it on any other Android phones, but will try to do so and update (if I can). I do recommend these earphones for anyone. I used the Bose IE2 prior to these and would not want to switch back. These allow to sit in complete quiet on my bus ride, or hear my music in full clear sound, as well as when I'm walking in the city streets.

I bought a pair of these for my wife, as she spends a lot of time on the phone and on video conferencing during Covid19. She was very impressed. I was so impressed I bought a pair for myself. In spite of the high price, these are a solid investment. The noise reduction, battery life and absence of losing Bluetooth connection during a call, thanks to the hardwired version, is invaluable. The design and build are solid. However, I did purchase the non-nonsense Geek Squad replacement warranty for about $65 for 2 years, as these are so expensive. They come with small medium and large ear-pieces which are great, but you can purchase spares from Bose for a few dollars. The in-ear design is a little different, as the design keeps it in your ear, but the cup rests on the edge of the canal for all-day comfort and to avoid infections that can be common with wearing in-ear buds all day. Tried and tested design from Bose, and highly recommended. Great price from Best Buy who use real face to face employees, and don't sell knock-offs like Amazon ...

Great improvement from the over-the-ear noise canceling headphones I was using. Perfect fit and comfortable for those long international flights. Even engine noise of the in-country small prop planes diminishes to a muted hum. I'm not used to products generally living up to the advertising, but I'm completely satisfied with the Bose QuietComfort 20 Headphones.

Bose, a brand name that most people can recognize when it comes to audio. I was looking for a more comfortable set of headphones for traveling that still had quality sound and figured that for the price and name, these would fit the bill. My comparisons come from a variety of previously owned headphones, but most recently the B&W C5 S2. First off, the active noise cancellation. It really does work amazingly well. I can't say that there are really any faults with that. Had a couple of 8-11 hour flights and they almost took you out of the noise completely, probably a 90% reduction of your general engine and chatter noise. The box is a little cumbersome but nothing you can't manage and the battery life is phenomenal, I would say I got my 12+ hours per charge out of it. Now the part that left me a little disappointed and wanting more. The sound quality itself. Don't get me wrong, it sounds better than I would say your average set of headphones that come with your phone. But the richness and clarity that you experience with some of their home products, well that wasn't there. It's a very unoffensive sound, if that makes sense. It's good at all ranges, but doesn't shine anywhere. Now I don't mean heavy bass like Beats, don't care for that. The lows are mild and unobtrusive, but meddled. The mid's are fine enough, but if you listen to anything with a variety of instruments and sounds, they all blend together, not in a sweet harmony, but as if it were just a single entity. The high's are in the same category. They are definitely comfortable though, wore them for 8+ hours straight and only felt a little soreness that quickly dissipated by taking them out for 10 minutes. The seal is about 95%, I couldn't really get one side without twisting it a bit which kind of led to the discomfort after a few hours. Overall, much more comfortable for long trips than the B&W C5. All that said, if you want good sound, phenomenal noise cancellation and surprisingly good comfort, these might be worth the cost. But if you care more about the quality of sound than perhaps the ANC, I would look elsewhere.

I must admit I was very skeptical of these because I have owned the Over the Ear ones for a few years now and did not think the Earbuds would be able to cancel out the noise sufficiently. I am pleasantly surprised and thankful they work phenomenally and are very comfortable as well. I have extreme sound sensitivity from a TBA so silence is a necessity for me. Now make them in just black and they would be close to perfect.
