The Bose Smart Ultra greatly improved the sound from my Sony Bravia TV. Set up was straight forward and pretty easy. The AI Dialogue mode is great, and we have been able to turn off closed captioning on most of our viewing. I was hoping to replace my stereo separates with the Smart Ultra, using my BluRay player for CDs, however passing audio through the TV to the Smart Ultra resulted in thin and unsatisfying audio. I found that using my phone as the audio source via AirPlay to be much better. As I do not have the subwoofer, the Smart Ultra did struggle with some of the music, but overall, I am very happy with the results. Finally, the app is quite limited in what it can do, and the built-in SiriusXM functionality does not seem to have access to the extended digital SiriusXM channels, so I am back to using the SiriusXM app on my phone and AirPlaying to the SmartUltra.

I love this thing! The first caveat is that I have it paired with the Bose 700 subwoofer, which is pretty much a must. If you don't have the subwoofer separate then you're not getting the most out of this. It is well worth the extra cash. It has such a balanced and smooth sound, watching top-tier cinematic movies like Interstellar is a whole new experience. Music also sounds incredible, especially when its lossless through Apple Music. And the sleek glass design is also awesome, looks amazing in our living room. This is the best soundbar/subwoofer system on the market right now, above the Sonos Arc and Sub, as well as the Sony A7000 and SW5. 11/10 would reccomend.

The sound blows you away! The design is sleek and fits my decor perfectly! The app is slightly difficult to navigate at first and was a struggle to pair, but the performance of the sound bar is top notch!

So I started looking for a surround sound system just about a year ago. I had ordered 3 different systems over a few months from Amazon. I tried a decent Vizio set up, Samsung, and Nakamichi. Each of them had some hiccup in the sound quality or connectivity between devices so I returned them and then forgot about doing surround sound over the year with travel plans and summer etc. Came into a bonus of cash from work back in November 2023 and decided to try again with the surround sound system. I ordered a Sony surround sound system based off a recommendation from a Best Buy employee, and while it was much better than the 3 others I tried through Amazon, it disconnected audio while watching Disney+ and it made a huge surge in noise one evening without any of us doing anything on the soundbar or apps connected, so I decided to return it. I was scoping out this Bose System package prior to returning the Sony system, and I got a chance to listen to the Bose soundbar at Best Buy in SLC and it sounded amazing, so I decided to pay the higher price tag for it. I got the Bose - Smart Ultra Soundbar with Dolby Atmos and Voice Assistant - Black and Bose - Surround Speakers 700 120-Watt Wireless Satellite Bookshelf Speakers (Pair) - Black and the Bose - Bass Module 700 Wireless Subwoofer - Black.
I'm going to leave this review on all 3 items because they pair so well together. The soundbar is so crisp, the app is amazing for adjustments, and the subwoofer really hits all levels of bass as you go down and packs a punch for how small it is. Fits super nicely between my two couches at home. I read reviews saying to muffle the surround sound speakers so I did that when doing the adaptIQ part of the process and the complaints of the other reviewers saying the two small boxes were too quiet have been proved wrong in my opinion, because baby, these things sound amazing! Best purchase decision of my life, it is audio bliss.
I did have to watch a couple of YouTube videos to figure out how to connect the surround sound speakers, but other than than that, this is by far the best I've found in my exploration of surround sound systems! Thanks Bose and Best Buy!

Bose does it again. Great Sound Bar. The set up was very easy thru the Phone Apps and adjustments to the soundbar after set up are very simple thru the App as well. I would recommend that soundbar. If there is anything I would suggest is that Best Buy have example set ups of different sound bars that can play the exact same example sounds... i.e. Bose and Sonos. It's hard to compare them in the store because they aren't playing the same example sounds. I went with the Bose because I have other Bose items (headphones and portable speaker).
Great product. Terrible Customer Support from Besu

The soundbar is awesome, especially when paired with the subwoofer. I bought it as an open box and the salesperson said everything was included. I, foolishly, took his word and when I got home it was missing a remote and headset for balancing the sound to the room. BB customer service was no help what so ever. Enter Bose customer service. I called and got both parts for under $40. BB wanted me to pack the whole thing up and drive 50 miles to return it and then buy it again new to get all the parts. I have never had such poor CS from BB in my life. Most likely gonna rethink buying from them ever again. Sad because a spent a small fortune with them over the years

I purchased this soundbar to replace my Bose 500 soundbar in order to obtain Dolby Atmos sound. Like other reviewers, I already had wireless Bose rear speakers and the 500 subwoofer. I have been absolutely blown away by the difference in sound quality that this soundbar provides. Not only does the Dolby Atmos really provide a truly immersive experience, but the clarity and "immediacy" of discs recorded with other audio formats such as DTS-HD or DTS-X far surpasses the performance of my old soundbar. Highly recommended.

Although this Bose sound bar looks nearly identical to the last three iterations from the same company, both finally did it right and made dialogue sound clear, and comprehendible without taking away from the rich sounds of a scenes environment. For the first time, I have been able to put the, sound bar in dialogue mode without worrying about a change in the quality of the surround sound system. In this way, Bose absolutely delivers in its claim of having clear dialogue through its AI technology. I still currently own the soundbar 700 and 900. I also own the Bose 700 subwoofer as well as the Omni jewel surround speakers for two rooms. That being said, I do notice that the 700 sound bar doesn’t drive the surround speakers and subwoofer very well as they sound very low and not very dynamic at all. The 900 bar improves the sound coming out of these speakers, as I noticed, I was finally really hearing the subwoofer and surround speakers. The ultrasound bar not only drives the surround, and surround speakers even better, but, in my opinion, they sound much, louder, clearer, and correct, in the soundstage that is intended by the source. In this size And style of sound bar that owes has created, I don’t think it can be improved any further. The only way possible would be if they increased the size of the sound bar to accommodate even larger rooms. So if you’re on the market for a quality sound bar with a classic luck, I would absolutely recommend the Bose sound bar as well as the surround sound speakers and subwoofer if possible. While this complete package cost a small fortune, the sound of delivers is absolutely fantastic. To my merit, I don’t admit to being an expert in the field of audio, but I do love, excellent quality speakers, and there’s a reason why I continue to return to Bose sound bars: they just sound so darn good! And, aesthetically, they look so clean and easy on the eye, and make your living space look much more sophisticated.

The Bose Soundbar delivers an impressive mix of clarity, power, and sleek design that easily elevates any home entertainment setup. Its audio performance stands out—dialogue is crisp, bass is surprisingly full for its size, and the overall soundstage feels wide and immersive whether you're watching movies, gaming, or playing music. Setup is simple and intuitive, especially with the Bose app, and the soundbar integrates seamlessly with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for effortless streaming. The build quality feels premium, and the minimalist look fits well in any room. If you're looking for a compact, high-quality sound system that punches well above its weight, the Bose Soundbar is an excellent choice.

This soundbar is out of this world magnificent! Alone, the sound is superior, but when paired with the Bose Bass Module 700 it is out-of-this world magnificent!! The dialogue is crisp and clear! The bass and midrange sounds are outstanding!! This purchase is one of the best I've ever made!!
