I bought this system after the in store demo and reading other product reviews. Setting up the system was easy and I just loved it. My friends came by to see the system and were impressed with it.
Few weeks later I started seeing this error on the console. "Error connecting to Acoustimass". I noticed the sound quality has degraded as well. I tried to pair it again by following the instructions on this link and it worked.

But now every time I turn the system ON/OFF, I keep getting the same error. Before buying this system I tried other sound systems and really liked the ease of setup and use from Bose. My 30 day return has expired and now I'm wondering if I'm stuck with a $1200 product that doesn't work.
I called up my friends who thought of buying the BOSE system and told them not to waste their money.

The system is easy to set up and sounds good. I have hearing problems, and was looking for something to help with hearing dialog better. It did not work for me. For the price, I expected to have the WOW factor, but didn't get that...

This is an excellent sound system. I did a lot of comparisons between this and other Sono's and the Bose unit provided clearer highs and mids. It is extremely simple to set up and provides rich sound from all over the room. Run AdaptiQ and it tunes for best performance. Some minor Treble adjustments and Center adjustment and it's incredible the sound. Also after fine tuning the sound is equal to the Bose 130. Love it!

I had high hopes based on a friend's glowing recommendation on this unit, but am left completely underwhelmed and disappointed in this purchase. For the price ($1099 when I purchased), it can, and has (in my experience) been outdone by humble competitors such as Sonos and Yamaha at a substantially lower price point.
Aside from the mediocre performance, my biggest gripe is that for an HDMI-based routing controller, there is no on-screen (meaning the TV you're controlling/watching) user interface (!!). You're left squinting at a tiny monotone LED screen on the unit itself which makes running through the menu options and setup a frustrating affair to say the least. Pretty lame in today's day and age. Heck, my 10 year old Yammy had a TV user interface.
At half the current asking price, even with a TV user interface, this MIGHT have put a smile on my face.

All I hear from my wife is "why is it so difficult to turn on the TV now." Telus remote was so simple. Power turns the power on for the cable box and the television. One button. Not this sequence that has to be followed. Had to call Bose for assistance to set up. No problem. Asked about the issue above. His reply "yes we know about that and we have no way to change it." They are selling a product that they know is complicated but they certainly tell you it us simple.

Inferior Sound - Do not buy!

Don't be fooled by the demo that is played in the store like I was. I purchased the Bose unit on Tuesday and returned it on Wednesday. Sound bar is a complete disappointment (tinny) and the sub is weak. Spent a few bucks more and went with the Sonos Playbar and Sub. Will never purchase a Bose system again after listening to the Sonos. The Sonos app also exceeds the functionality of the Bose App. The Sonos Playbar and Sub will rock your world!

Loved the home cinemate 15, so I thought this would be better. However the adapt sound IQ, didn't do it justice. The center, and surround sound was out of balance. And the sub-woofer wasn't as full sounding as the cinemate 15 was. So I had to return this and go back to the cinemate 15 Bose system.

I bought this system and hate it. I always have issues with no picture, or no sound, or volume not working on remote and I'm using a 4k samsung tv. I hate this product, regret buying it, wish I purchased sonos,besides, you can add more than 1 speaker and 1 sub unlike this pile of coal.

I have had two Bose Cinemates and have been very happy with the Cinemates, so when it came time to get a whole new smart tv set up the Best Buy sales associate in home theatre recommended the Bose 120 Soundtouch. I admit the thought of having a wireless setup intrigued me and the Bose 120 acted as the brain to the whole set up. Unfortunately, the acoustimass often lost sync only permitting a treble tone and it was frequent signal loss even though I put the components very close together...returned it for another Cinemate hard wire to see if it makes the difference...read several reviews afterwards of the same problem...keeping fingers crossed since I have always liked Bose...

Poor connection. The acoustimass module continues to disconnect causing an error. Once acoustimass module reestablishes connection a loud popping noise occurs causing a temporary loss of sound from the sound bar. Not pleased with product. Called Bose support and they could not fix the issue.
