Might be better w/ smaller phones or GPS' think I should have got a dash mount.

I exchanged my first one within 1 year because the ball joint snapped (melted really). My replacement broke as well within another year when 3 of the 4 "fingers" that grip the ball broke. I got a tube of plastic weld & repaired it myself.
