Seems very solidly constructed, and couldn’t be simpler to use. The left side griddle option is fantastic - saves slinging cast iron pans around at breakfast time. The center burner is a serious flamethrower- it boiled a kettle as fast as my electric kettle (yes!) which will clear some counter space. Saw some complaints about high grates, but not seeing it as a problem. I did raise my microwave a few inches to accommodate a pot filler that’ll go in next, so grate height wouldn’t be a space issue - it’s not a heating issue as far as I can see.

We are now on our third set of poorly designed handles for this unit. We purchased the two year warranty so thank goodness the previous handles were covered, but now we are being charged for these flawed handles that need to be replaced for the third time. Per the service center, this is a problem with this unit. They tried redesigning them and they are still cheap and cracking. Avoid this product! GE does not even stand behind it.

Great cooktop
