Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We bought an entire kitchen set of GE Cafe appliances...this dishwasher broke down right after it was installed (leaking water all over the floor)...I pay for a membership to address repairs...although they sent out a repairman fairly quickly, he said the "motor was shot" and took it out and left, saying he will return when the new motor arrives...that was over 2 weeks ago and we still have no working dishwasher. For what I paid for this package, and considering it started leaking almost immediately, they should have brought a new one and replaced it! Still no word, from anyone and I am not happy

Huge Disappointment

I can hear in from every room in the lower level of my 2500 square foot house. When it drains you can hear a huge sucking sound coming from the kitchen drain. I don't know if the problems are because the delivery person unloaded the box upside down and rolled it over to make it upright. In any case, I regret replacing my 10 year old builders grade GE dishwasher with this.

We did want to say that this unit is rated at 45 dBA and that actual sound levels can be a little different once installed in the home. You might find the appliance quieter or louder than the decibel rating suggests. The loudness of a dishwasher depends on the installation location, the cabinetry where it is located, the flooring, the countertop above it, and even whether the dishwasher is full of dishes or partially empty. - With that, you're free to see an article on our GE Appliances website titled: DISHWASHER - NORMAL AND ABNORMAL NOISES to see if it helps. Sound noise while the unit it draining is normal to hear but if this seems overly loud, you're free to reach out to service to see if they can come out to double check. Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is the worst dishwasher we have ever owned. It does not get dishes clean. We had it serviced (under warranty) countless times; each technician thought the problem was something different and replaced numerous parts. All of the warranty replacements took 8 months; for 8 months, we were without a functional dishwasher. Now, the washer functions but does not work well. Additionally, the door no longer opens/closes softly, but simply slams down when opened; the machine tilts forward, making all of the racks slide out at once. We wish we had gone with Miele dishwasher we were originally considering.
