The salesman was extremely helpful in helping me purchase this lens. I wasn't sure what I needed, so he took his time and we reviewed all the products together to help me make a wise choice.

I like this lens for taking pictures that require a zoom. I'm no expert, nor quite an amateur and it works for me. It is rather heavy and I'll need to get a loop for my tripod.

I actually bought this lens as a Christmas gift but I think I can safely say that she loves it. The photographer has yet to take the lens off her camera and alway comments on how fast it focuses. She has also said that this lens is so versatile because she can still get close up shots. She shoots primarily wildlife photography mainly birds.

This is an amazing lens for the price compared to the L Series lens's that Canon puts out. If your on a budget and need a good telephoto zoom lens you can't go wrong with this one. The image stability is excellent and the clarity of the picture is outstanding. You can't go wrong with this affordable lens.

This is the best lens at this price point that you can get. I actually got it for 350 after 300 off for buying the Canon 70D. I love it so far. It takes excellent telephoto images. Is extremely quick, and has great range. Unfortunately, at higher lengths, you can get noise without stabilization, but all and all, for the price (if you don't want to go into ES-L pro) it is very good.

Had an older 70-300 that I've had almost as long as my film camera, so that lens was able to migrate to the DSLR and I've used it for some extra years.
Now that one is needing a bit of repair/tightening, I decided to purchase a dedicated digital in this zoom range and yes, it is quite easy to use (even for someone my age (elder) and having arthritis)

Certainly, this isn't the top of the line glass, but it is a good lens that gets the job done. I've shot some extraordinary shots with it. It can surprise. You can afford to break it too and buy another. I shoot around water and sand a lot, so I weigh my investments in lenses. This one is quite good although AF is a wee loud.

This is my first DLSR and I've only had it a couple of weeks. I have only got out birding with it twice. some of the shots are of surprising quality for a beginner. The focus is very fast and with my Canon 70D I can get continuous shots at about 3 or 7 frames per second, for birds in flight I've been setting it at 3ffs with great results.
