This lens is great. Not an L lens, but for the price it is awesome.

With progressing age, my hold was not steady enough for the wildlife shots I wanted with a 300mm zoom lens. This Canon lens solved the problem. I am again getting great wildlife shots, and even some very good lunar pics.

The lens takes crisp sharp pictures. It does make a slight noise for about 6 secs when focusing, particularly near/at 300mm

We bought this lens as part of a package with the Canon EOS 70D with 18-135mm lens. This lens works really well. You need to understand this is NOT an L series lens so the quality of the pictures are not as sharp as the high dollar L lenses but still very good. The macro shooting is very good with it. The IS is great for very long shots. Do a google search for it and you can find much more detailed reviews of this lens but it's WELL WORTH IT! :)

I enjoy taking picture of sporting events at high school and birding. The zoom 70-300 enables me to get close to the subject on the basketball court or a bird without interfering with the action or scaring the animal off. It is my go to lens for taking pictures in these 2 different types of settings.

I really don't have much to compare this against, but I can say that the image quality with this lens and the Canon EOS 70D body is spectacular. Using the manual settings on the camera and this lens, I was able to capture a great photo of the moon. From about 30 feet away, I grabbed a picture of my cat with his tongue sticking out...I can see the veins and taste buds on his tongue in the photo. The only complaint I have is it is significantly slower than the lens that came with the camera but it still performs fast enough to capture my dog running full sprint across the yard.

This is an excellent lens to purchase in addition to the standard camera packages. Great zoom and clarity.

I purchased this lens after buying a lower priced lens. The quality difference is amazing. The lens is easy to use.

I tried a number of IS lenses. I wanted a lense that I could use for my sons foot ball games at night. This product delivered on every expectation I had set. I would recommend it to anyone.
