First Mirrorless Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I were going to Malta for our anniversary and instead of lugging my 6D around, I thought it'd be good to get something lightweight and more than just a point and shoot and this camera definitely performed. The 15-45mm lens is what I used mostly, the 55-200mm lens is okay, but doesn't really do a lot for landscape photography so I'll have to try that out more at a later time. After using it and seeing the image quality, I can't wait for the larger DSLR mirrorless from Canon.

Nice Start
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to get back into serious photography again, but was not sure how much I wanted to spend to get back in. When I saw this mirrorless unit available for a great price I decided to give it a shot. The first thing I noticed is that it has a similar OS as the rest of the Canon point and shoot line. Those in turn, came directly from the old AE1 and A1 cameras. The system is simple for former users, and would not confound a first time user. Canon has had the edge on user friendliness for 40 years, and it does not appear that they are ready to relinquish that lead soon. I still enjoy using manual modes at times, and having had experience in the manner in which Canon handles this, the whole experience was a breeze. Again, first timers who wish to go "off line" and try experimenting with manual, shutter or aperture priority modes will find this a pleasant surprise in ease of use. I was not disappointed in the image quality. Although it has a compact sensor, which I swore I was going to avoid, and requires an adapter to work with the entire line of Canon lenses, I was impressed. No flares, no distortion at the edges and a great deal of detail from the compact lenses. As a former professional, I am often discouraged by reviews of amateur equipment written by pros or former pros who somehow expect miracles at bargain prices. I came into this with an open mind, expecting to be underwhelmed after reading some low rated reviews, but I had an entirely opposite experience.

Awesome camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A very intuitive camera, takes great photos and videos, and if you are a hiker, the size and weight is nit cumbersome, take it anywhere.

For the Price it's great with some cool features.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have really enjoyed using this camera for different family events. It's easy to change it's zoom and to go from camera to video and a really cool feature it has is that you can be taking video and take a picture while taking the video at the same time. It has the ability for 4K video but it does take up a lot of space on the SD card and of course to view properly you'd need to have a 4K compatible devise or else the video skips and the pics are kind of blurry.

So Glad I Chose This Over DSLR
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been in and out of photography for 10 years. I had an old DSLR that's autofocus broke even after taking it to a shop to fix it. I was debating between going new age (mirrorless) and DSLR. Finally I spoke to a friend who is a professional and recommended this camera. It is amazing! It's so light and takes way better images then my old DSLR. I cannot wait to take it out to nature hikes.

Great! Only beef is the battery life.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really loving this little camera. I was on the fence between it and some of its competitors (Sony and Nikon), but I bought it because I use Canon DSLRs at work. I figured I could buy an adapter and still use the lenses interchangeably. I'm very pleased with it. It's fast, it's sleek, and it gets the work done. I also like that it has a wide variety of settings to mess with. I particularly loved being able to transfer full-sized pictures to my phone. What I don't like about it is mainly the battery life. The first time I had to use it continuously, it lasted me about four hours, which isn't terrible, but it also didn't warn me. It was full for about 2 hours, then halfway full for about an hour and 30 minutes, and finally, red for no more than 5 minutes. After the experience, I went and bought an extra battery.

Excellent camera for photo or video!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is fairly easy to use, but you're going to want to watch some videos to really learn all the ins and outs. I'm not a professional photographer but with some classes and tutorials I think I've gotten a lot better. I feel like this camera can be used by someone taking pics as a hobby but will take a long time to master with all the features it offers. Hope this helps!

Everything I could hope for.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went from a DSLR rebel sti. I got this because it’s has good reviews and shoots HD videos. 4 k to 720 slo mo. I like the mirrorless set. Real time exposure view so you can tell what the exposure is before you shoot it. Nice feature. Good for beginners and more advanced users. Tons of U-tube support. With an adapter I can use my older lenses also.

So Far, So Good
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone not well versed in the logistics of digital devices, this camera is surprisingly user friendly. I’ve only had the camera for a few months and I’m pleased with the quality so far. My goal is to capture pictures for my future blog and video content. I’m still learning tips and tricks to adjust its functionality but so far it’s a keeper.

Great Camera for the price
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am no professional. I am just a guy who wants to take quality photos and video for my business. My first impression is this camera is not complicated at all. I upgraded to the EOS M50 from a Vixia HF-M30 camcorder, and Powershot A590. Just using mostly the automatic settings, my photos are so much better. I did side by side comparisons and the detail is very noticeable even after sending through text message. I usually edit my photos in Fireworks CS5 and export JPEG. Even though I reduce the images dramitically they are so much higher quality after processing and uploading to the internet. The video quality compared the Vixia HF-M30 is so noticable I could not help to start laughing from joy at how the detail was so much better. The best setting for me is the (FHD 59.94P) watching the video on my 144HZ 1080P monitors is so easy on the eyes, so smooth and crystal clear. One of the reasons for upgrading to the EOS M50 was the ability to use it as a live stream webcam, Well I had originally thought this was USB-C 3.1 at 1080P 60fps, but it is only USB-2.0 at 30fps 720P, However I compared side by side to my Logitech C920 USB-2.0 1080P webcam, and the EOS M50 is many times smoother, I mean a lot smoother, the C920 is choppy compared. the C920 looks better when no movement is present, but the EOS M50 handles lots of motion which is important when doing guitar shredding, it does not miss a note, and the color looks more realistic compared the synthetic coloration of the C920. I do reccomend if you can budget, is to get the EOS M50 with the extra M55-200 lens if you do out door or long distence shooting, you will save a load of cash by doing so if you plan to get a zoom lens later. I'm glad I did. However I ran the battery down real quick with my first use getting to know the settings, and playing around with it. I had charged it initially right out of the box to insure it was fully charged. each charge takes about 1.5 hours to fully charge from a dead battery, it charges much faster when the battery is NOT fully drained. So I reccomend getting a second battery, or an AC adapter to get the camera setup before going out to shoot some video. The only reason I am removing 1 star is because it does not come with an AC adapter or USB cable which I believe is very important to me as I use it as webcam, and like to really immerse myself into the camera settings, a mini HDMI adapter or cable would have also been nice. But I see manufacturers doing away with all the accessories these days, and selling them at a high premium which I frown upon. Include the things we need please. Don't mind paying a little extra, to save a lot. So don't forget to add the cost of these accesories. The price of these extras could add up to half the price of the camera or more. Removing only 1 star was being generous. PROS: 1. Very quality rugged build. 2. 4K Capable at least 3. High Quality photos 4. Excellent FHD 1080P 59.94P looks amazing 5. Ability to use as 720P webcam with smooth frame rate 6. Wireless PC capabilities is impressive, amazing and very intuitive 7. Wireless Mobile device capabilities is also very impressive CONS: 1. No AC adapter. You have to purchase a seperate AC adapter for approx. $100 2. No Mini USB-2.0 cable included 2. Only 1 battery included not going to last long enough (For Me). 3. No included memory card, or onboard memory. 4. Not really a "true 4K" video camera 5. Wecam ability not the greatest 720P Micro USB 2.0 not USB-C PS: I tried to upload photos but Best Buy would not allow, the photos are too large.
