I was debating on getting this lens for my Canon R6 for a while because it's so expensive... but let's just say, it's WORTH the price tag. It's definitely a heavy lens. However, this lens and the Canon R6 are an amazing combo. It's so quick and sharp and super versatile!

It is best zoom len ever!!! This len is heavy and expensive, but its quality is the best. If I compare the quality between this len with my old Canon EF 24-70 f/2.8, I would think this len is much better. In addition, this len can focus very quickly.

All of the hype is REAL. I do not take this lens off my camera body. Like ever. I actually sold some of my tried & fire lenses because they were getting dusty from my lack of use. This lens is perfect for just about every style of photography. I will admit, the size and weight of it is extreme, but worth it.

Love this lens for the versatility for wedding days. It is very heavy however if you are considering the 24-70 and this one I would take that into consideration.

I haven’t taken this lens off my camera since I purchased it. It is tack sharp! It’s perfect for detail/getting ready all the way to reception shots. It’s amazing for indoor newborn sessions as well. I’m so thankful I purchased this lens!!

I mean there are no words for this lens. It replaces 3 of my lenses and the quality is absolutely superb! If you are considering this, you definitely should get it. The only con is it's very expensive.

I'm a professional wedding photographer and just recently switched over to mirrorless. This lens is a GAME CHANGER in the wedding industry. The zoom is actually incredible and works just like a prime lens. No more carrying two camera bodies around on wedding days! It's heavy and the size of my head but I will never be going back to Prime. This lens is worth the investment.

This lens is amazing is great I'm able to gather large groups together and make sure everybody is in focus without destroying them in anyway. I'm an Equine photographer who does win photos and it is so much easier having this lens as part of my arsenal. I use it for personal sessions as well it's great for her senior sessions, weddings, engagement you name it!

Amazing lens. I was going back and forth with getting the 24 70 or 28-70mm. 24 had image stabilization 28 doesn't BUT my Canon R5 has it built in. So i rented it 1st for about a week and it did excellent for photos and video. It is a heavy lens but great quality. Glad i made the purchase and my clients love the work

Used to carry two lenses, 35mm 1.4 amd 85mm 1.2. this beast replaced these two lenses. Awesome Quality. 28 to 70mm at Fast Aperture 2 is excellent. its bit heavy. But i have no issues with that.
I mostly shoot at F2.0, Configured control ring to Aperture. so I don't use control ring much.

The only go to lens you’ll ever need. The photos are crisp and sharp. This lens is able to produce stunning images with ease. I would recommend using a professional heavy duty tripod such as the manfrotto 645 to avoid accidents you don’t want to drop this expensive piece of equipment. Yes the lens is a little heavy to hold for long periods of time but the results are worth it.

Absolutely love the quality this lens brings. I pair it with the Canon R6 and it's a match made in heaven. The only downside is that it's HEAVY. Two hands needed at all times, but I feel the quality is worth it.

It's as extraordinarily sharp wide-open as it is stopped down! Mortal lenses get softer at their widest apertures while this masterpiece stays just as sharp.
Autofocus system allows perfect focus for ultrasharp shots wide-open at f/2

One of the best lens out there... Sharp and fast. A lot of folks have already mentioned the how heavy and bulky looking it is. But boy, the quality of the images are like what you would get with prime lenses. I wish they would make a version 2 with a stabilizer with de focusing on it. That would be too good to be true.

Impeccable. The best of all worlds. Feels like a prime with zoom. I used to carry a 15-30, 70-200 while traveling and constantly be switching between them. After getting this beast, I no longer change my lenses and stick with this almost in every situation. Pictures are super sharp and have that smooth flair that one typically sees in images shot on primes.
The lens can however, start hunting for focus in low light. That happens more often than not, in fact a lot more than my tamron 15-30. The lens is pretty heavy as well, but for the quality it offers, it's a fair compromise.
Other than that it's flawless. Canon R5 + RF 28-70 is the perfect combination.

Sharpness is impossible to explain, even wide open! you see anything and everything, the out of focus blur is super smooth. Given its f/2 don't expect the background to completely disintegrate but comparing to a 2.8 or f/4 its unparalleled.
