I use it for headshots/portraits. Live in Phoenix where there is a lot of sunlight, so I got the F4 instead of the F2.8. I have no regrets. This lens helped improve my photos to yield more income.

I’ve used a lot of lenses over the years in this range. From a Vivitar Series 1 in the early 80s to a Leica 70-180 Apo to Nikon’s and Canon’s EF 70-200 f/2,8 and f/4 lenses professionally.
This is the best yet. I imagine the f/2.8 version would be tops as well. The size is amazing for lenses of this quality. Love it!

So jappy i picked tbis up. Barely longer then my 24–105, this feeks lighter and has a much smootger zoom ring. Focuses crazy fast even at night. If 2.8 isbt essential to you (most ppl really dont need it) uy this and never look back

This is my first 70-200 and I can already tell that this will be one of all time favorite range lens.
Beautifully made and very fast despite being an f4

Its Canon, a high quality brand and this product keeps that reputation in tack. The PLUS is, Best Buy had this for $200 off and 2 yr 0% financing. A great deal!

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HANDS DOWN!
It's about the same size as the 24-70, the weight is a little over half the size of the 2.8, and don't get me wrong F4 sounds lame, but you really aren't losing anything, except the weight, in a good way.

This is a great lens, I was really thinking if I should get the F4 or the F2.8, but after giving a chance to the F4 I realize that this was just what I needed.
