Never knew what I missed until I purchased this. No speed demon but definitely alerts you so you are aware.

Easy steps to follow and setup. Download apps installed with no problem. Display screen and bold plus the voice volume can be turned up loud. The next awesome thing is the mounting base connects to the unit magnetically. This makes it easy to lock it in and unlock .

Over all good, I don’t use a lot, but when I do it seems to work good.

Great radar detector and app/phone integration. However, it's a pain to have to pair each time you get in the vehicle. Also the Camera has not captured anything I needed captured. Although you would think it records constantly while driving, there are gaps in my recording coverage.

Pretty decent, kinda hard to connect to the wifi but still a nice setup

The Cobra Scout has done wonders for me for the passed week except for the fact that im having trouble getting my devices camera and video to work if anyone can help me get that fixed i will gladly change the rating to 5 stars

Had this for almost a month... It's pretty decent. It doesn't catches police radar as often than it should but it catches speed cams faster even from a mile away though. Tbh, it's too pricey for the price.

Great unit. Works really well. The one thing I had difficulties with was getting the camera to connect to my phone. It eventually worked it just took longer than expected. Overall I would buy this again.

Great 2-in-1 radar detector and dash cam. Once you get it working right it’s awesome. Call customer service if you have any issues…they will get you working in no time.

One of the worst electronic products I ever bought. If I could return it I would. Will never stay linked to blue tooth or Wifi. Each time I turn on I have to go through the setup routine to relinquish them. And the IRadar app Cobra supplies to use is as buggy as they get. Most of the time I try to use it it tells me I need to log in or Register again. I would definitely advise to stay away from this product.

I have had radar detectors before, and I have had dash cams before. But I have not had both put together. The price tag may steer people away from this product, but this is a genius idea if you want both the knowledge of speed enforcement and the coverage of a dash cam but don't want to clutter your visibility with multiple devices in your windshield. First, lets talk about the Dash Cam side of this Cobra At face value, the specs are pretty good. 1080p is a decent resolution. Its large enough to provide a clear picture of what happened. Your ability to digitally zoom after downloading footage will not be anywhere near 4K, but it gets the job done and saves file size. More importantly, this camera records in 30fps, which is just a little but faster than what the human eye can see. This is an important number because it allows you to pause the footage and get a fairly clear image, which in my testing has allowed you to read license plates as vehicles pass. The exposure on the camera is pretty well balanced. Daylight video looks great. Night time city driving looks great. Night time country driving is a little bit dark for my liking, but still not bad. And possibly the most impressive aspect of the video footage is how wide the view is! Over 150* of vision covers the entire front of your car. Now on to the radar/laser detection of this unit. There are two main things you need to know...this unit has a LONG range, and QUICK response. I have access to both a Ka Band Radar and a Laser used for measuring speed. The second you pull the trigger, this detector goes off. It is instantaneous! Now you will get your standard false positives around motion activated doors and airports that use the same bands for their purposes, but you can control the sensitivity of your detector via the app. I did run into one issue however. When using my Samsung Note 20 to attempt and record a video of the detector going off when Radar or Laser was used, the detector would not alarm when the laser or radar was used. It didnt matter the angle or distance. The detector simply would not alarm if I was recording video. I tried an iPhone and was able to record and get an alarm, but time and time again it would not work with my Samsung Note 20 recording. An educated guess to why recording video blocks the Cobra unit from working is that Samsung introduced a new laser to assist the phone's camera to focus quicker. It appears that this feature throws the detector for a loop and renders it useless until the camera is turned off. Probably not applicable to most people but it could potentially leave you unprotected. One small gripe that I have with this unit is that I have to connect to the unit using two different methods and two different apps to access the functions of the radar and camera respectively. I have to connect my phone to the radar using bluetooth and one app, but connect to the camera using wifi and another app. Both apps and methods work and work well, but it is slightly inconvenient and I believe this can be fixed. This high end Cobra Camera and Detector Unit is a very nice piece and does both jobs well. I think it can be improved upon, but as it stands, the unit is a nice personal watchdog to keep in your car.

Works great so far. Haven’t really had a chance to play around with the settings but so far so good!
